Room was smelling after strong cigarette. It was very difficult to sleep due to the smell. Cooking facilities were very limited and space was very small, especially when you travel with kids. Too pricy for such a room.
Great location only 100 yards from the fabulous beach. Spotless and great decor. At only £357 for a week this was great value for money. September is just out of season so the town is much quieter if you are looking for a relaxing time. Good Wi-fi connection.
Unfortunately this can't really be classed as proper self-catering. We were in Room 311 and it was smaller than a travel-lodge room but they had slotted in a two ring hob, a fridge, a micro-wave a small sink, and utensils to cook a whole meal if necessary. We were only going to have breakfast and then eat out but there was nowhere to eat other than by sitting on the bed and there was very little prep area. No toaster which is a must for English visitors. Downstairs was a large lounge which never seemed to be used and would have been better utilised as a dining area for breakfast. For a few euros more a day this would be better suited to a bed and breakfast. Never the less still an enjoyable stay
We stayed here for 6 days during the American Film Festival (which was great). Great location for both Deauville and Trouville, the beach and the film festival sites. Useful little cooking area for breakfast (but see negatives) Fairly quiet (apart from seagulls' morning chorus!). Plenty of free parking space in roads nearby. Nice little communal area on ground floor for a drink before going out in the evening. Easy checkout on final morning - simply left the keys in the room rather than going back to Hotel 81.
The Booking.com confirmation said there was a bath and shower. In fact it was just a shower. No big deal as shower was excellent. "Kitchen" area is very small (as is the room generally). Only really of use for breakfast or snacks. Again, no big deal as plenty of excellent restaurants and cafes nearby. The TV in the room was useless (if you are English). Very few channels and all were French. Also not a major problem as Wifi meant one could keep up with the news via tablet or phone. Wifi was useful but did cut out quite frequently.
Service was excellent. Staff was helpful speaking English even came to flat to help with wifi. great location for Normandy day trips.
Location Space Deauville town and racing
Seagulls are noisy Needs another mirror somewhere
This is not a studio, it is a tiny room with a fridge in it and a hob on top of that. There was certainly nowhere to sit down apart from the smallest half round table for one, and there was just a small space to walk around one of the most uncomfortable beds that I have ever tried to sleep in. Really disappointed with this place, ruined what was otherwise a lovely break.
Stylish décor, high ceilings. Great location close to town centre and beach. Staff were very helpful when we had problems.
Some mould in bathroom. Well equipped kitchen but no room to eat. Go for larger apartment if you can. No reception, have to call to hotel to collect keys. Awkward if you are arriving late at night and don't have a car. Sign on the railings gives the phone number of the hotel.
Location is great, very short walk to the beach or to the town centre. Good quality and size of bed. Very pictureque building inkeeping with Normandie style.
Some of the steel studios are particuarly small Some of the rooms are up 4 flights of stairs with no lift Wifi speed and signal was poor.
We absolutely loved the apartment, the decor, style were very much our taste. We had booked the gold studio which was very large with a high ceiling and open beams and was pleasantly cool despite it being a very hot night. We were able to fully open the windows (a rarity these days) and leave them open all night. Wifi worked perfectly and connected immediately. The town centre is less than five minutes walk away as is the beach in the opposite direction. We had not booked parking but there was plenty of free parking on the roads surrounding the apartments. We would definitely stay here again. Beautiful town, fantastic market. Can't wait to go back!
Very helpful reception staff Easy walk to the shops and beach and across to Trouville with a good selection of cafes and restaurants
Room was cramped, especially around the table
Convenient and close to the centre of Deauville and handy for the Normandy coast. A very clean and pretty town. We would go again. But please see "didn't like"
Be aware Deauville is an upmarket coastal resort and although the accommodation was value for money, local cafe's and restaurants very expensive, for three people breakfast of cheese and ham omelette and coffee with three carafes of water over 50 euros. Average drinks round 40 euros. If your well off no probs!
We loved everything and the kitchen was very well equipped.
The internet connection in our room was very low, we were not able to watch the soccer game on our laptop.
close to town and shops, and kitchenette . decor very stylish large bed
Space. comfortable bed and blankets rather than duvet
Ugly bathroom with no curtain to stop shower splashing all over floor.
Very good location, close to the sea, to the center of the town, a very quiet place, helpful and friendly staff.
The apartment is nice, but it would be more convenient if there was a small shelf in the shower cabin to put shampoo and other stuff and some shelves or at least a stool to put the toiletries on.
location close to town center, large room with nice interesting features.
could have done with A thermostatic shower.
Deaville is a very chic town. Very elegant architecture. Good restaurants and shopping. Very accessible from le Havre.
Very little to dislike. Beach very impressive but sea too far away.
