It's a residnece, not an hotel, reception works only until 19, after ther isn't any support: we didn't have anybody to ask the wifi code, or advices for dinner. Hairdryer is missing in the room

Exceptionally welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable reception. Breakfasts were especially enjoyable in the sunny dining room overlooking a beautiful mansion. Breakfasts were also good value & tasty--fresh pastry & bread, fresh fruit & yogurt, good coffee & selection of tea. Our studio was clean & spacious and quiet. Great location for visiting both ville d'hiver and ville l'ete and the waterfront.

We would have appreciated thicker towels and better pillows.

Studio appartment fully equipped. Staff very helpful and obliging. Hotel very clean and excellent décor. Not suitable for young children, therefore hotel quite and peaceful.

No Bar facilaties. Chairs in lounge area not comfortable, fine if you want to play cards, but not to read or relax.

Comfortable room with good beds. Liked the kitchen area and option for self-catering.Very helpful and welcoming hosts.

A bt hard to find.

Character hotel divided into Studios and Appt but bit odd as you are expected to do your own cleaning (or not as we didn't), so towels are not changed nor toilet roll replaces. Good to have some kitchen facilities as eating out is very expensive hence can do own breakfast, lunch and some dinners. Located about 15mins from sea front but pleasant enough stroll although not so good later uphill when the Park lift has stopped working at 10pm! Located in very nice area with other character buildings in the neighbouring streets. Wifi reception good in room. Pool area is nice however loungers are flimsy plastic and have broken just where you sit! Most uncomfortable – time these were fixed I think. Beaches not crowded and you can drive further down the coast for some more deserted ones. Make sure you visit Dunes du Pyla early for the least crowded experience – definitely worth going.

A bit more attention to the rooms and pool loungers. Our room was a bit sparse – double bed, small bedside tables, one single bed, table with 3 chairs, 2 chest of drawers, separate loo to the bathroom. It did have a dishwasher, toaster, microwave, 2 hot plates, fridge freezer (which didn’t really ‘fit’ in the room placed at the bottom of my daughter’s bed!) but no kettle, no a/c or fan, no safe, no hairdryer – but you can borrow one. Bathroom a bit on the small side, towels small and thin. Please fix the sun loungers.

I loved the carachter of the building and of the area. The lift to town was unique and the location was magnificent. We had self catering but wonderful market produce a few minutes walk away as well as shops. Ten minutes walk to lovely beach. Really enjoyable holiday in Arcachon

Great Location, like the studio apartment concept

Rooms are a bit tired, bed was much too firm

Very well placed - in quiet, smart, wooded area with large, elegant houses and pretty gardens. Right behind the centre of Arcachon's main restaurant/shopping district and the esplanade and beach. Although in the highest part of town, only a level walk through a small park to a most convenient lift down to street level - hence an easy genuine 10 minute walk to the beach and less to restaurants etc. We had a large south facing room with very high ceilings - the hotel is a rather grand old building like a slightly faded stately home - a small balcony, a good bathroom with shower over the bath, a separate wc, and a well equipped kitchen (large fridge/freezer, 2 ring electric stove, dish washer, microwave, sink and drainer, and all the necessary equipment including tea towels, washing up liquid, cloths etc. Dining table, coffee table and 4 chairs provided - it was a big room! Made the stay really cheap because we bought food in the excellent indoor market in town and cooked 'at home'. Breakfast was included for us and well worth it - upmarket continental but with fruit, yoghurt, full range of teas and terrific coffee in a most pleasant light and airy dining room. Used the free pool to swim lengths and loungers for some sun. Staff were just great - all of them from cleaners to reception and dining room. Couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant - some spoke English. We will go there again because we love Arcachon and the Villa Regina makes an excellent base - simple, friendly, a bit tired maybe in parts, but a real home from home

It took us a couple of days to realize that this is an apartment hotel so you do your own cleaning during your stay - if you wish to!! Vacuum cleaners and all that are provided. Not an issue at all for us and room was immaculately clean on arrival - including all utensils and kitchen equipment.

An ideal base for visiting Arcachon town, the plages, Cap Ferrat and the Dune de Pyla. The hotel was exactly as described on the website. It is in a quiet location but walking distance to the centre of town. Parking was easy. The hotel swimming pool was a good size, well located and appointed. The breakfast was good quality and the dining room elegant. We would certainly return.

Location. Residence is situated behind the resort in a beautiful old and quiet residential area with good access to the main town and beach via a wonderfully manicured park, (when open). The steep walk back from the resort can be difficult though . Not for the infirm or disabled. Has good parking.

Residence is a grand old building not so grandly converted into an aparthotel in small and uneven grounds. Our room was adequate size with a kitchenette which did not include a kettle. Decor was uninspiring and room was not particularly clean. Park is shut early evening and walking back from Town not easy unless fit and able.

Lovely old building (large villa / chateau), with lovely gardens and pleasant surroundings. Staff very courteous and friendly. Apartment decor a little dated but spacious, clean and with large lcd tv. Nice but limited (see below) continental buffet breakfasts (pastries, cereals and yoghurts, charged extra). A short, pleasant walk (for able-bodied people as quite a few steps) to the centre of town. Arcachon also very nice although town very quiet in the evenings; hardly anyone around town at night (stayed early June Sat/Sun). Overall very pleasant and would consider staying again at this hotel.

We paid 80 euros per night, plus extra local tax, plus extra for breakfast; considering we were very early in the season, the price was not a bargain (but equally not a rip-off), especially I did not like the extra charge for breakfast. I have stayed in 4-5 star hotels for only a small amount more. Small thing: No cheese on the breakfast buffet which my wife would have liked. Paid for bill with credit card and was given credit card receipt but was not given itemised bill. Perhaps hotel might consider offering "welcome pack" for vistors arriving Sat evening? Apartment was self-catering but most supermarkets closed on Sundays.

This was the second time we stayed here and both times we were very happy with it. The first time we had the delicious breakfast every day in a lovely room looking out to the very stylish local properties; plenty of choice for breakfast, filling us up til about 2.. This time we catered for ourselves as the kitchenette had everything we needed, except a kettle so we brought our own. We brought friends with us this time and they stayed in the next door studio; we had adjoining doors so we could have a drink together and play scrabble in the evenings if we were too tired to go out. We love the location of the Villa Regina as it's amongst the really stylish villas of Ville d'Hiver and an easy and lovely walk through the gardens then down in a lift to the road that leads to the creamy and clean sandy beach. We would recommend staying here to anyone and will do so again in the near future.

We have been travelling to France for over 40 years now and can honestly say this Hotel has been one of the best so far. The studio appartment was exactly what it says on the box and more, everything was provided and it was very clean. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The Hotel is in a pleasant residential area and it is only a leisurely stroll into the centre of Arcachon. Would certainly stay there again.

Old, dirty studio. Matress so hard, pillows are flat, made up of yellow broken foam pieces so they felled lumpy. Hotel did not make up our rooms at all so we must use old linen. No hair dryer provided. Orange carpet and cheap furniture. The hotel is big but run down and not taken cared of. The yard is weedy. When we check out, most hotel charges us exactly as quoted (inclusive of taxes and vat) but this one charges tax on additional....so it turns out more expensive than we expected. The hotel main business is to rent out to long term locals who want to cook and clean themselves...

Parking

des chambres un peu vieillotes et une literie très moyenne! une salle de bain correcte mais un peu surranée aussi! un petit déjeuner beaucoup trop cher pour les denrées proposées (très peu de produits frais, fruits etc) pas de charcuterie ou fromage alors qu'il y a une clientèle d'anglo-saxons qui consomment au petit déjeuner!

Studio confortable dans un établissement bien situé. Personnel très agréable. Parking aisé tant pour la voiture que pour les vélos.

Absence de système d'aspiration de l'air dans les toilettes.
