The hotel was immaculate, very chic and decorated in a very french style. I was impressed by the level of care given by the cleaning staff.

I would have preferred to have been given a double bed, instead of two single beds which we had to push together, however the beds were comfortable and the bed linen immaculate.

The decoration it's awesome, we were in a -1 level room but it was so beautiful decorated that you didn't think about it. The young girl in the reception at our arrival was very kind and helpful. We got some Easter eggs in our room and we loved the funny signs that you could read at the new doors that were still not painted (these details were great!)

Some ants visited us in the room. But I guess we're the ones to blame as we ate pizza in there and then left the box on the floor!

Room was much smaller than I thought I had booked. We were taken to a twin room when we checked in and yet had booked a double. However staff quickly moved us but room was very small. Too small and not renovated!

Lovely place. Staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke great English. We had a great time. Heaps of great bars around the place.

Sweet little boutique hotel, cozy and private - and a super value! Our room was small, felt like we were staying in someone's private home - which is cool since the Villa Rivoli used to be a private home (three story home), decorated French Provincial style, comfy bed. Loved that our private bathroom was two separate areas (toilet on one side of the room, shower and sink on the other). Actually very convenient when more than one person is using the room. The windows were full length so we could open them and walk out on to the tiny little balcony. Free wifi in the room! Location was good, not extremely far from the train station - but just a quick walk down a couple blocks to the Promenade along the Mediterranean sea. We did not have the breakfast at the hotel, but it seemed they were ready to be very accommodating - we just headed for the fresh French pastery joint on the corner to eat in the sun by the ocean - perfect mornings in Nice!

The room safe was too small, passport/wallet size - which didn't help for our iPad and Kindle.

Lovely warm friendly and helpful staff. The superior room with romantic furnishings and comfort. Spacious and clean bathroom. Garden area and little balcony. The buildings architecture.

Thin walls. Woken by cleaners busy making up rooms.

Good location, nearby main train station, shopping streets, promenade. Staff helpfull and speaking good english. Bed comfortable (not too soft). Easy to find when travelling by public transport (we took bus 98 from airport and had to walk 5-10 mins from the bus stop)

Walls must be very thin, as you can hear clearly what is going on in the next room. We could perfectly hear the tv from our neighbour.

The rooms overlooking the street are very noisy. Or first room was very small.

We stay at this hotel regularly and really enjoy our stay. All amenities and staff are excellent. We are made to feel very welcome.

Location 2/3 blocks off Promenade des Angles behind the Negresco good for getting to Old town and sea in 5/10 mins walk. Hotel in the Belle epoque style an excellent 3 star Hotel for Nice. Looked after personally by the owner. Many original features in the Hotel. Outside shady seating area where on lovely days breakfast can be taken.

Room was a bit small and the toiletaries in the bathroom I thought could have had a local feel, from France would have been a nice touch and perhaps a fridg in the room would have been welcome. I am nit picking really we had a good time here and would stay again.

Had a decent location, although not central to things, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpfull. The building is very nice and stately inside.

Our room shared a 'door' with the next room through which you could hear very clearly, which is quite awkward.

The breakfast is expensive, and I would suggest they offer a croissant and coffee breakfast for a little less money. Not enough coffee sachets in the room.

Loved it here. The staff was charming. The accommodations clean and lovely. The advice and suggestions excellent.

This was our second visit and hotel was busier than in May. Hotel is about 20 mins walk from old town along either the promenade or through the shops, either of which are all part of getting to know NIce. Hotel is quiet at night. Staff really friendly and speak English. We will certainly go back again next year.

Close to beach, the train station and restaurants within easy walk. Rooms very clean and Hotel staff friendly and speak English well.

No elevator, room fittings lack maintenance, noisy garbage collection near hotel between 11.00pm and midnight, room security safe way too small in this day and age of iPads and the like. Rooms and bathrooms (well ours at least) very small.

This was a very pleasant stay indeed. The room decor was charming, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom new and bright. The staff were very pleasant people and did their utmost for us. Breakfast was a real treat. it was served to us in the garden. The location is ideal, close to the famous Negresco. We could not have been happier and we will certainly stay at the Villa Rivoli again.

There is no noise insulation ! You can hear people whispering, walking the corridor, closing doors, flushing the toilets and taking a shower. People also felt free to play the piano early in the morning. The breakfast is overpriced for what it is. The comfort is very relative. I don't recommend that hotel.
