The hotel is quaint and has a true French charm to it, just what we were looking for on our one-night stay in Nice before leaving for the US. The street is quiet at night and in the morning, but you are a close walk to the Old Town and only 2 short blocks to the Promenade and Sea. Really a great location, even in winter. Young staff do their best to be helpful, but we had to ask for the manager when we asked to be switched from our original room just behind the reception area on the first floor overlooking the street, although in our reservation we had requested a quiet room on an upper floor. The manager kindly relented and gave us a a 1st floor room which was fairly quiet and overlooked the side yard of the hotel. She didn't have to do this for us, but we were very grateful after a week of driving all over Tuscany. As other reviews have stated the rooms are small and the bathrooms as well, but ours was very nice and had french doors you could open if the weather was nice. We have stayed at another Nice hotel on the Promenade, also small and quaint, so we knew to expect small rooms. We didn't eat at the hotel, although the breakfast spread looked good. But you'll find an excellent patisserie just down the block, open early, but no coffee service there. Amazing almond croissant. They have a small parking lot that fits 3 little cars, so if you are driving make a reservation to park your car there. Very convenient!
