The location is superb. ..close to the beach , old town and many attractions. .. Cheap drinks at the bar ... You also get to meet a lot of people from all over.
Bathrooms have molds ...
The location is awesome. 5 minutes walk to the coast and 5 minutes walk to bus stops (Cannes, Monaco). Just next to the main street (safe and convenient). The staffs are very friendly and helpful.
location + wifi
staff are awful - didn't even wish us a good trip after staying for a week. every time we walked through reception not once did they look up from the PC and even smile. when we asked for advice on items they gave the minimum amount of information. the location is nice and central but it is increddibly loud throughout the night - bins (glass recycling) at the strange times in the middle of the night - people shouting from the several nearby restaurants and cafes. Finally the hostel is a bit pricey for what you get
stuff services breakfast
The bed and location.
The room had no air ventation. It was so stuffy and hot. We had the window open too the but no relief. The room had an awful smell and was dusty. The shower had a mouldy shower curtain. We had trouble sleeping even with ear plugs. Between the young girls yelling and a baby crying. Would never stay there again.
clean room , nice price for dinner
Location was excellent, right next to Place Massena. Staff was friendly and helpful, although we had to checkout early it was fine. Overall very good value for money!
Bedroom was often very hot, even if outside was cold and with the windows open.
Location. Spacious common areas.
Dirty, noisy, bedbugs, disgusting toilet, no grps signal in the lounges, had to sleep with people throwing up...a place to forget.
Good bar and food was great. Close to centre Friendly staff Good value for money
Staff didn't really give you orientation of the building or area didn't realise there was a sauna til I left. Bathroom was dirty. Other guests were very loud in room late at night.
As they did not have the same room for 2 nights, I received a bit smaller dorm + a free cocktail at the bar! Very good service and great solution!!
Breakfast was not the best ever, but hey, its a hostel an it was for free, so you don't hear me complaining ;)
it was cheap. private(paid) parking only 90 meters away.
the lino floors needed vacuuming - plenty of hair and dust. the shower flooded almost instantly and spilled on to the bathroom floor. other guests were noisy. lift was broken.
Not enough charger in the room
interacted with about four different people at the front desk all of which were extremely helpful and friendly. convenient location to explore the old town and promenade. cereal and toast for breakfast was enough for us and were even offered it on the day we arrived before we checked in.
breakfast starts at 7am but coffee was cold and no crockery ready when we had to eat at 7am before an early train. 7 euros for laundry service no problems but would have preferred to do it ourselves like most other hostels.
I stayed for a week here, extended 2 times, in three different rooms. Clean every corner, very friendly, pleasant, cool and helping staff, lots of computers with internet to use, Wifi available every corner, can get a little slow if too many users(normal). Food is good, library, lauch with music. live music on saturday night was fantastic. Sleeping can be tricky, when you have all sorts of people in your room. I would say Villa Sait Exupery is the best hostel in Nice.
i found just couple of things could be better, which i have mentioned to the staff, and they have promised me to do something about it.
the location is good the price is good as well the breakfast is include and free for coffe and tea free use of computer also
the bedding is not clean enough the internet sometime can't be connected the shower was broken for 2 days until we left
Location was good. There was internet down in the hostel. Staff speak english.
First I got a room claustrophobic room with NO WINDOWS except a window which opened into a sort of shaft where it smelled very strongly of gasoline. Could not stay in that room as I was afraid I would be CO2-poisoned. Got another room, this time with a window with a chain on so it could open only 15cm, but at least it was fresh air coming in. Very poor cleaning. I don't think the toilet had been cleaned at all. Internet connection did not work in the room, connection too poor. Will NEVER go back to this place. Total firetrap.
Nothing to complain about, it was all very nice.
Superb location, right in the heart of Nice. Walking distance to all the highlights.
Our room was actually in the property next door and was very basic for the price. This was fine for my friend and I but the bathroom was more third world hostel than south of France hotel. Many people would be put off
The only positive thing about the hotel is the central location, close to Place Massena and the tram. Staff was friendly.
This was my worst hotel experience so far. The room offered only three beds to sleep and nothing more. WiFi did not work at all during our stay. No towels in the room, you have to pay 5 euros at the reception to get an old, not so clean towel. Breakfast was a joke. Bathtub was dirty and rusty. Complained to the manager immediately as the room was not worth the 130 euros per night we had booked with.
Kind knowledgable staff. Map handed to you immediately. Plenty of activities and clear directions posted on where to go nearby and how. Clean room. Bedding already on bed. Just right A/c (for someone who does not like ac) and non-smelly room. Bathroom in suite. Hot water. Lockers. Full length mirror. Armoire. Pictures on walls. Lovely roommates.
There are two hostels. One at the beach with no parking and the other called garden with parking. Parking in nice is quite expensive. A hotel room that included parking would have been better financially for me. Breakfast could have included baguette type bread instead of toast. Yogurt would have been nice.
Friendly receptionist, good location, reasonable wifi
Location is great. Staff is helpful. Laundry service is reasonable.
Room with 3 bunks and private bath with essentially no ventilation, so very humid. Bath seriously moldy. Public hall doors squeak VERY loudly (I know that have WD-40 in Nice), enough to wake me, and I'm a heavy sleeper! Needs maintenance and cleaning seriously overall.
location is perfect, free breakfast, environment is nice~
A little noisy at night, but it's the city centre, so it make sense...
Clean, friendly, had a bar and cheap wine/food, the staff hung out after their shifts and all were very nice. Lockers in rooms. Comfy bedding. Great location, close to the beach. Has free walking tours, other activities avail. for a charge. Free beach mats. Luggage storage for before you check in and after checkout as well.
Girls, get a female only room! It's worth it. My last night was a mixed dorm, not as great of an experience. Also, bring a lock. They are not provided free if you need to secure your things.
