There are only two very excellent hotels in Lyon, this is one of them. So you do not have a lot of choice. This hotel is the right place if you fascinated by views! However the view has its price, there are two Monteés (stairs) down to Vieux Lyon one with 238 the other with 208 steps! No public transportation close by. We stayed in Room 23, this is a nice big room with balcony and some view over the city. Great breakfast with individual service.

The interior design is not really up to “relais & chateaux” standards as we typically enjoy it. The pool has only fairly heated to only 22 Grad Celsius, this is too cold since the place of the pool is a bit windy. We stayed in the newer Building Room 23, there we had great problems getting a wifi connection. The air-condition is quite noisy (for a 5 star Hotel), you have to call the front desk to get it switched off, no switch in the room. Please check your bill thoroughly when you leave, they charges us for 3 wrong topics, Ok they scratched them without discussions. We tried to book a table for dinner at the Michelin star restaurant (45-50€ per dish!), we were not successful besides the fact we stayed three days. After we returned from our excellent food in the Restaurant Adrets Le Tire Cul (30 Rue Boeuf, just down the stairs 23€ per dish), we realized there where two tables available with view unused in the restaurant. Very strange. If we ever return to Lyon (very nice city very friendly people), we will try the other luxury Hotel or the the small slh in old City. No public transportation close by the hotel.

Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the city of Lyon. We were offered a welcome drink on arrival, and a plate of fresh fruit was delivered to our room the same evening at no charge.

Hard to find the gym. Shower could only be used while kneeling in the bath. The elevated location is an attraction but it does mean climbing 200 steps to reach the hotel from the town!

Whirlpool and pool outside and very friendly staff

Superbe bâtiment historique, bien mis en valeur lors de sa transformation en hôtel. Beaux aménagements intérieurs, harmonie très réussie entre l'ancien et le moderne. Emplacement exceptionnel, sur les hauteurs de Lyon avec une vue sur toute la ville. Personnel prévenant, de grande classe. Très beau restaurant (je n'y ai pris que le petit déjeuner) avec la même vue exceptionnelle. Service sans aucun reproche.

Les chambres les moins chères (255€ tout de même, sans petit déjeuner) ne possèdent qu'une toute petite fenêtre, elles sont donc sombres malgré la vue. Les salles de bain de ces mêmes chambres sont correctes sans plus, les 5 étoiles de l'hôtel mériteraient au minimum une vraie douche.

Occupions la chambre 20, excellente, mais impression d'une odeur de nicotine. Probablement d'avant les interdictions de fumer en chambre, mais la moquette et les murs garnis de tissus ont manifestement souffert de cela.

La beauté de l'immeuble. La vue de la chambre et sa beauté intrinsèque (poutres et haut plafond). Le confort.

Déco générale à revoir. Changer la marque de cosmétique référencée par Relais & Châteaux, un peu cheap pour ce niveau d'hotellerie... Prévoir un buffet pour le petit-déjeuner, un peu décevant également pour ce niveau d'hôtellerie.

J'ai particulièrement aime la situation géographique de cet hotel.sa taille est un atout(19 chambres). La qualité de l'accueil est exceptionnel .

Chambre très mignone mais sommes restés un peu "sur notre faim" au regard de la réputation de l'hotel petit dejeuner sur le principe très bon mais "basique". En revanche ils ont une carte qui permet de le compéter si vous souhaitez Personnel très professionnel mais manque de chaleur
