In theory the Hotel had many good facilities and we enjoyed the swimming pools, the adventure island, horse riding and tennis. The food was mostly quite good but a bit repetitive. Nicely located for visiting the town of Arles. The majority of staff were kind and helpful

Ingrid on Reception was the first staff member we encountered and she was unhelpful, inefficient and rude. Also the facilities were extremely badly maintained and tired; the tennis courts were cracked and lumpy and their rackets and balls were dreadful. The grounds were not very well cared for and the buildings looked pretty scruffy and old fashioned. The opening times for the buffet were quite restricted and certainly even if you got to breakfast by 9-9.30, they had frequently run out of many items, such as croissants, orange juice and eggs! The staff would try to find more but there were not enough staff on duty usually especially when it was very busy. There were no convenient snack bars open by the middle pool so we always had to walk for 10 minutes in the heat to get any lunch. There were no changing or loo facilities by the middle pool either. Although we enjoyed the horse riding it was difficult and complicated to book and we had to do it several days in advance. Finally, far and away the worst problem was the mosquitos!! We were bitten alive and as my 14 year old daughter is quite allergic to them she suffered hugely from this. We had to cover up in order to walk (10 mins) to dinner in the evening and sitting outside after dinner was just impossible as we would get bombarded by large mosquitos, even despite using strong insect repellent! This element really spoilt our holiday. I would also say that we were literally the only English people there and therefore found it very difficult to mingle with the other guests (even though we spoke passable French)which made it particularly hard for our teenage children whose french is school standard and they felt too shy to join in some of the activities as everything was conducted in French. Given that it is advertised on an English webside we found this suprising.

The accommodation is spread around a wooded area with pools close by. The staff on reception are hard working and very helpful.

We were self catering but the room had no facilities, just beds and bathroom. There was only air conditioning in one room. There is no air conditioning in the reception area.

    Not too far from Arles.

The name is wrong on booking. All signs to the hotel village is listed as Maeva. Pool was only open from 1000-2000. Definitely could not use if after sightseeing all day. The AC did not work at all. Bugs everywhere in the room. They really need to fix their sidewalks. Lots of safety issues.

It is dog's friendly. Staff is kind

It is impossible to find without GPS. It is 6 very long km far from Arles. The room is properly furnished and the village is poorely maintained. Why to much people and children all around. Overall a sad palce.

    Faciliteiten Groot park Natuur

Is same Hotel as Maeva. Is not a luxury hotel at all. No rules at pools which makes them look like public pools.

Not much! Possibly great for young families but not for unsuspecting couples like us who totally believed the advertised facts. We wanted to leave on arrival but were told that our three night booking was unable to be refunded. Obviously this had us in a situation where we had to stay when we would have far rather have left before the first nights stay. Entrapment would be the best word for our stay.

The website dressed this establishment up as something it wasn'T. It was in no way a 'get away' as described in the advert. The place is a holiday camp and should be honestly promoted as such so people like us are not sucked in by incorrect representation of the facts. We would not be back and leaving with multiple mosquito bites is no recommendation especially when told by staff not our problem when our room was infested with the insects. Also the place was hard to find and also not under the name advertised which was strange.

Very slow response to inquiry. For telephone line service (mainly the opinions from a foreign visitor as myself), two very unfreindly itmes recommeded to improve: 1. the voice service has no English guide, 2. there is only messager service without any connection to manual assistance. Further, very slack action in invoice settlement while the holiday also duplicate charge to my stay. The impression is they charge faster, but serve very slow, it's a pity for such a good facility designed for people since Arles is a charming place for global tourists to enjoy. Sorry to say above...
