We had the jacuzzi room on the top floor which was amazing. It had a real Moulin Rouge feel to it and full on traditional French ambience that you only could wish for. An experience as well as a lovely hotel stay. Just one problem. The air conditioning wasn't working. On enquiring, it was out of action for the whole hotel. No mention of this by staff as we checked in or any remedial action during or on check out. Imagine that. >£200 a night room with no air con or compensation. So had to sleep with the windows open and it was very noisy outside being next to a night club. Fortunetly that part went un noticed by my partner and she loved it.

It is boutique hotel with fantastic decor. Rooms have names rather than numbers. The atmosphere is very flamboyant and very french Not that I care but some may... Wifi is only available in the lounge, there are no coffee machines in the rooms.

One of the staff was always very arrogant, but the others were very lovely. Only 1 towel for 2 people the entire trip, also after asking for another.

Walking into our room was like stepping onto a set out of Moulin Rouge. We wanted a true Artistic Parisien experience and we werent let down. It was very romantic and quirky at the same time. Nothing was a problem for our hostess even guiding us to some of Montmartes finest restaurants. Our Spa leaked all over the floor on our first night and we were upgraded to an equally cute room without any fuss at all. the metro is literally 50 meters away. We had a beautiful view of the Basillica and we hardly noticed the noise at all. Id definetly stay again and recommend to anyone wanting something out of the ordinary. Not suitable for families or people who may be a little bit snooty. You need to appreciate the area for what it is. Its definetly a part of what makes Paris the city of Love

It is a very individual hotel with total attention to detail. A joy to stay in from beginning to end. Always something to look at and very sumptuous. I think breakfast could be improved on.

Excellent location and the rooms are funny, brothel like. So much different than other -regular- hotels. Very small ( tiny) rooms, kinda old and rusty, the sparkling has gone and needs some refurbishing.

The location is very poor - sits on the 'famoius' Place Pigale. Opening windows at night is not possible - too noisy. People are shouting on the street all night - nobody seemed to care calling police.

the decor is very different and unique and its location is good, close to a metro station. Its situation makes the rooms on the front very noisy. We had a deluxe room with a jacuzzi bath but the plug didnt fit so we couldnt use it. Did speak to reception but nothing seemed to have been done about it.

The worst value for money in my life. Frightening location. Not enough stuff. No feeling of security. They have to keep entrance doors locked. Last 2 stars are misplaced (not deserved).

The breakfast was awful. Only a choice of 2 cereals, one of which was chocolate. When we asked for spoons we were told the only ones available were tea spoons. The milk tasted odd which also made the tea taste off. All I had for breakfast was a piece of baguette which was slightly soft. The hotel looked rich with antiques on-line, but in person it just looked seedy. The room was boiling as the air conditioning didn't work. The noise from the street and singing from the bar below went on into the early hours even on a Sunday.

Location (5 minutes from metro), room (Victor Hugo) was very spacious and in a fantasy like moulin rouge style! Jacuzzi is huge, can fit three people. Don't expect any room service or spa.

Location near place Pigale is not a good for people who want to rest calm. There are a lot of sex-shops and noisy strip-bars near the hotel. Rooms in the hotel decorate in old 'boudoir' stile, whith red walls and many carpets, which look strange for modern people.

The best thing I can say about my stay is at least the sheets on the bed were clean. The words I would use to some up this hotel are seedy dishevelled and flee bitten. The location is good if you wanted to be in easy reach of brothels, strip joints and seedy bars. The noise from the streets of shouting, music and traffic finally died down about 3am and started again at 5am. This on a Wednesday morning left me wondering how bad it would be on a weekend. I could see that the decor of the room could be a matter of taste but red flock wallpaper and red valour bed sheets and curtains are definitely not to mine. The fabric of the wardrobe was torn and dirty and the wardrobe itself wouldn’t shut. The bath room was dirty with mould growing on the walls and hairs and other debris left in the bath from the previous resident

The decor and location, staff very helpful and friendly, though it seems one man has to do everything from reception to room making room deliveries The rooms were dusty, standard of hotel has declined, stayed there Dec 2002, was totally different then! Not what I expect from a 4 star hotel.

Location The most negative impression was, that we were charged for the whole amount right upon arrival and we had to leave deposit 50 euros for each day of our stay (300 euros for 6 days), and it was not written in the rules of the hotel, so it was quite unexpectedly. Also we faced the problem that right after we have booked the hotel, the hotel staff charged the amount for 400 euros more than the price of our booking. Like they explained later, it was by mistake, but it took us 2 days to resolve the problem calling to the hotel, booking customer service and my bank. And we didnt receive any compensation for the inconvenience.

Great location opposite Metro station and close to Sacre Coeur and surrounding Montmatre. Jacuzzi bath was awesome. Bit frayed around the edges needing a bit of a facelift. Didn't realise before booking however, is surrounded by Parisian versian of Soho. Little embarrassing for my wife and me being with her. Air conditioning was knackered. We turned it off but still woke up with very dry mouths and ended up feeling a bit ill.
