Timhotel Paris Gare de l'Est  

Good helpful staff who helped us store our bicycles. Clean rooms (we stayed on the 5th floor) and quiet considering its location.

The location for rail travellers; and ease of access to Canal St. Martin, Metro to other parts of the city, and to numerous restaurants, bars etc..

A very small room, adequate only for an overnight stay. Also, the T.V. remote control did not operate the set properly, and eventually not at all! So no News in the evening or morning, in either English or French. The breakfast is too expensive.

I was in this hotel some months ago,i liked it very much,i wrote it in my opinion,now,during this stay,all was perfect too,location,price,cleanness,all rooms are very nice,wood makes it very pleasant,personal at reception was,as usually,very friendly,the atmosphere was perfect,i like the hotel very much.as I wrote last time: " The hotel is the one of the best hotel in Paris in this category,all was simply perfect. ”

Staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. Especially the girl from Poland I'm sorry I forgot her name. She was working on weds when we arrived. She checked us in. She was also working Thursday and Friday. Comfortable bed. The location was very handy. Ye are so close to the train station it would be hard to get lost.

The bathroom was very small. The toilet was too close to the wall so when you are sitting down on the loo youre touching the wall on one side. Also the lid of the toliet would never stay up. It kept falling down you have to hold it up yourself all the time.

Not much. The room was small, the bathroom smaller, and the bed pillows were similar to those that you would find in a hostel. For €129 as charged by booking.com it was extremely poor value. The receptionist was helpful.

I noted via correspondence on the reception desk that other clients had paid €94 using another booking operator. Well, booking.com maybe convenient but it is becoming increasingly poor value for money. My advice is to shop around.

Located next to Gare L'Est and Gare Du Nord which is good for connections with the airport, Eurotunnel and the East

When we first entered the room, it has a terrible smell, as if smeone just used the toilet. The smell was gone once we opened the window. Cleaning was not to good standard: there was clearly a dirt in the corners on the floor in the bathroom and empty shampoo bottles left uncollected.

Affordable hotel, the double room we got was quite large, friendly staff.

No toilet brush, thermostat seemed to have no effect, cleaning staff blocking already narrow corridors with bags of dirty linen from 9 to 11.

I quit the hotel after one night as the hotezl was clearly below standards.

This hotel is very well located closed to the gare station with access to the metro. Also located in a quiet street. The room was small but nicely done.

Everything was nice at the hotel but the location was the reason we got it.

Timhotel has got so friendly staff and they are so helpfull.

Perfect location for Gare de l'Est and getting about in central Paris. Rooms are not large but comfortable. Clean and tidy, great size tv in room. Staff very helpful. Value for money

It's right next to Gare De l'Est.

1. The blond receptionist was so rude. I have booked 2 rooms for 3 nights, and when I requested a 30 min. Late checkout she rudely said no!. Hotel staff are not friendly at all. 2. Old furnishing 3. Rooms are soooo small you can barely move in the bathroom.

Staff and good location

Everything was nice at the hotel but the location was the reason we got it.

The location is good. it is just few steps away from the Gare de l'Est railway station and the bus stops. St Martin neighborhood is full of bars, cafes, and restaurants. The staff were extremely helpful especially Charlotte and Mariana. Cleanliness of the room.

High price without breakfast, no fridge, small room, and small elevator.

Charming. An old building, cleverly renovated. Room/bed comfortable, bathroom tiny but ultra-functional, very quiet thanks to insulated windows. Staff warm, welcoming, & multi-lingual. Very well located for travellers using either Gare du Nord or Gare de l'Est. We were only there for one night but wish we could have stayed longer. And next time we will! 4 stars.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location was great. Easy to get around Paris and hop a train to our next stop. The room was clean and functional. Having the windows open on to the street was great. We were quite comfortable.

Ideal location, close to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, the St Martin's area, good for bars, cafes and the canal. Hotel rooms are cramped but everything is there that you need and it's very clean judging on two recent visits

Nothing that comes to mind. It's a busy city centre hotel at the cheaper end of the market but it has good facilities and helpful staff. We didn't take breakfast so don't know about that but the rooms are good

The furniture was rather nice and the hotel lobby was an appealing design.

I didn't like most anything about this hotel. I understand European rooms are small - I travel a lot, so this isn't said from a place of naïveté - that hotel room was too small for a double. Two people could not stand on the side of that bed without a lewd act. The bathroom was too small to comfortably exit the shower. It also didn't help that our shower did not drain (2 minutes with the water going and it filled up to overflowing). We let them know about the Problem, they claimed they fixed it (the maid, apparently, poured something into the drain), nothing was fixed at all which means they hadn't bothered to check. The area was super cute, though. I recommend finding another hotel nearby and going shopping along the quai.

Great hotel for the price! Tucked away from the busy street. Clean, friendly staff and good facilities. Would definitely stay here again.
