Comfortable rooms. Friendly staff, very convenient . Enjoyable stay
The hotel was located within walking distance to the beach and city highlights. There is a lovely garden sitting area located at the back of the hotel which is easily accessible to guests. We enjoyed our stay.
The friendly atmosphere and kind staff.
I like everything about Villa Victoria. The rooms are spacious and clean. The garden is a lovely place in which to have breakfast or a leisurely drink and the staff are friendly, cheerful and helpful. It is also just a short walk to the sea and the old town. And all this is why I have returned for a second time on my second only visit to Nice.
I cannot think of anything at the moment but if I do, I shall let you know.
Location is good. Can book a park position in advance. Enjoy the breakfast in its beautiful courtyard. A lovely cat also sit down under your table.
The hotel was tired and not a clean feeling. It's location wasn't bad. I have stayed Hotel Royal Promenade des Anglais on the water. Royal is a superior location and the price is similar to Villa Victoria. Unless Victoria ungoes a significant rehab I would chose another hotel like Royal for my next stay.
Breakfast nor worse €15...
The room was decorated very well, comfortable, roomy and stylish. We liked the fact you could open the windows to let some fresh air in. Location was also good, not far to walk to either shop or go out for dinner. We also appreciated being able to park our car out the front - very convenient.
The bathroom was very dated and requires an upgrade. Tiling grout looked like it was mouldy. Showering in a bathtub is dangerous and slippery with no hold rails etc. Much better to replace with a shower. Also, the bed was comfortable but seemed to have plastic on the mattress. This made it hot and very noisy when you moved. Further, the bed, in summer, needs a separate sheet as having just a duvet made us very hot, all night, even with air conditioning on. Finally, the entry of the hotel and common floor areas could do with an upgrade. Based on these things, it is unlikely we would stay at the hotel again. If you can fix them, we will definitely be back.
The garden was lovely and the breakfast good. The location was close to the sea and not far from the old quarter. The hotel is located on a lovely wide boulevard.
The decor in reception was a little down market and the corridor and bedroom doors dark and depressing. The bathroom was a little out dated and the lighting in the bedroom poor.
Big and clean room with all needed facilities, romantic garden in which (an excellent) breakfast is served, helpfull staff.
very centrally located hotel in Nice, with a couple of supermarkets (U-express, Carrefour etc) around; rooms are very well decorated and beds are very comfy. Plenty of natural lights in the room and it's quiet during the night (with the windows closed and air-con on); friendly staff who try their best to help.
We were asked to leave the key with reception but it seemed that sometime the reception was un-armed and keys could be taken away so easily by strangers who came into the hotel.
5 mins walking to beach.
I saw a couple hair left in the bath tub from previous guests.
Room was nice. The garden is beautiful. Even though breakfast was average the garden made it worth to have breakfast at the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a nice athmosphere and personal touch.
Breakfast was ok but could be better.
friendly staff and good location
the hotel is not worth a 4 * rate. although all facilities are present and nothing can been said about the cleanless of the hotel and the kindness of the staff, this hotel is up for "modernisation"
After an arduous journey from NZ to study in Provence Villa Victoria was an oasis of peace in the center of Nice.A beautiful boutique hotel with an exquisite walled garden in which to enjoy lovely breakfasts. Spotless and comfortable, friendly staff and delicious glutenfree treats for breakfast. I look forward to staying there again.annie Auckland
Nice breakfast in the garden with friendly cat! Spacious room
Outstanding front desk staff day and night. Wonderful private courtyard.
My fault, perhaps, but I did not see when booking that there was very limited parking at the hotel and that it had to be reserved.
Lovely garden wonderful for breakfast and for afternoon nap in the lounge chairs. Nice and quiet hotel, friendly staff.
A few things need repair or upkeep.. like a few garden chairs. WiFi had to be rebooted every time we used it.
To be there again!
Breakfast in the hotel garden! Breakfast is usual, but the garden is amazing! Location is great! Staff is very attentive and polite. Pleasant interior. Good coffee at the reception with cakes for free. Several Russian channels on TV.
Wc was almost broken and on second day it was absolutely broken.
This hotel is boutique in size 32 rooms which makes it very personnel. The rooms were a good size compared to other European Hotels and very clean. I would recommend a garden room as is was quiet and picturesque. The hotel was 5 min walk to the Boulevard and 5 min to the main shopping area, so very convenient. On site car parking was a bonus.
wi fi was free however very slow. The breakfast was just a cold selection and the cost 15 euros I which thought wasn't worth the money.
The room was a good size and well decorated. We loved being able to sit out in peaceful surroundings during the day, and enjoy a drink in the garden in the evening. The complementary coffee was a nice touch too.
Only a very minor thing ..the toilet was very claustrophobic.
Little extras such as slippers in room, both large and small size. Also tea and coffe in room which is unusual for france. Lovely terrace garden with very friendly resident cat whose aim was to keep birds away while you had your breakfast outside. Not always successful! Free use of lap top available was a bonus.
We had a problem with the door key. We were used to the slop in card for room entry. This was an old fashion key and you had to have a certain knack to open the door. Took two days for my husband to work it out. Had to keep going to reception to et us in. I never did, not strong enough to turn. Only downside really.
Friendly, helpful staff. Great location with good ambiance.
The Garden at the back .Well laid out and relaxing
I thought Breakfast was included but it wasn't
