Got there and my room didn't have light in the bathroom and the air conditioning wasn't working. The reception guy said he couldn't do anything nor even change my bedroom.Oh, besides that he said there was no towels to rent, but in the next day I found out there was plenty of them in a deposit. In the night after they havent fixed anything but there was a much nicer woman in the reception that managed to change my bedroom. Would never stay here again. Don't recommend it.
not too noisy, friendly environment for both young & older people
I booked there as it was mentioned in the Rick Steve book on Paris. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it is in a great location between Montmartre and Gare du Nord for access to the Metro trains or just walking.
Wi-fi is only available in the lobby, so when everyone is busy on their electrical devices, no one really speaks so I found it difficult to get conversations started with other guests.
Rooms were very clean and Madamme was friendly, informative and very helpful.
one of the cleanest hostels I've stayed in. close to everythinh, shopping centre, metro, restaurants, bars...etc
The location was fantastic just around the corner from the gard de nord, the staff were very helpfull and polite, the room had everything we wanted and was very clean.
Breakfast choice was very limited- only food available was croissant and jam. Our room (601) needed a touch of maintenance as the paint was flaking off the wall and the shower was slow in draining so there was a danger of a flood if you left it running too long.
Very easy to get to from the Gare du Nord and a wonderful location for sight seeing. Easy walking and hundreds of great cafés in the immediate area. A good enough place to lay your head at night.
Noisy with fire doors slamming through the night. Communal area could be more comfortable as you need to use it for using Wi Fi. Breakfast was a soulless affair, with limp croissants, hard rolls and people crammed together.
I liked everything.
I didn't like anything.
It was clean and the staff is very nice. I could keep my baggage in their storage room until I left in the evening.
No shower head and sometimes not hot water.
More expensive that should be Very late check in
I never say this is the best hostel in Paris but more than average. 5 min walk to Nord station. Reception staff is friendly. Common breakfast in Paris hostel. There is a supermarket just next door. Very good at cost performance.
Bed is bit small. No hunger, no hook in shower room. wifi signal is weak.
Clean, friendly staff, close to transport, shops, Montmartre and good value for money.
Great place with great staff, good localization very close to metro station. nice small balcony
The dorm had 4 beds and attached toilet.
Location and staff
Bathroom in the room (shower curtain needs to be changed and so does the toilet seat)
Good location, nice welcome, fair price, nice room, comfortable bed, decent and clean bathroom.
The door off the reception area in which everyone passes through to go up to their room, closed with a very loud BANG day and night. A closing mechanism was either not working or maybe not fitted. For how many people comment on this hostel having a good breakfast, I was expecting a bit more than just bread roll/croissant and jam! What happened to that lovely thin ham and cheese that's usually on the table at European breakfast tables?.
1. NOISE LEVELS: The place is VERY noisy - very thin walls; noisy corridors; the doors slam shut very noisily - especially the one between the reception area and the stairs; residents are very noisy - in an immature, teenager way (which is what most of them seemed to be) - even well into the night and the early hours of the morning; there is loud, blaring music in the reception/lounge/dining room area, even at breakfast time, when one is just waking up. The residents seem to have a tendency to be immature & inconsiderate of others - as in the case, for example, of two of the guys I was sharing a room with, who were both quite noisy in the room, one of them especially so, and who even invited his newly-met girlfriend into the room twice while I was already in the room and made out with his girlfriend while I was there 2. VERY POOR, MISERLY BREAKFAST: All one gets is a plastic cup of fruit juice, a cup of tea or coffee, and ONLY ONE croissant or tiny loaf of bread (albeit with butter & jam). Awful. 3. POOR BATHROOM FACILITIES: One has to pay €1 to get a towel - and then you discover there are in fact NO HOOKS WHATSOEVER in the bathroom for hanging the towel or one's clean clothes; no soap is provided either 4. CLEANING: In the six days that I was there my sheets were not changed even once
Location is perfect. In all other terms, it's a regular hostel
staff are great. very friendly and helpful.
Checked in with Melanie at the reception and found her really cooperative and friendly. The room was in mixed dorm with attached bathroom.. nice and clean. Comfortable bed, New sheets, pillow, blanket, Aircon and Breakfast included... what else one needs. Very good location. Anvers located at just 2 min walk. Very good experience.
very good location ,facilities and value for money
breakfast sometimes not organised
The hostel was very close to the Gare du Nord which gives you quick access to the whole of Paris. The Sacre Coeur was only a short walk away. Also, although a bit out from the centre of Paris, it was nice not to be in the constant hustle bustle of touristic Paris. The hostel itself was nice and exellent value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful.
I don't really have any complaints. The hostel is basic but it is clean, the rooms are nice and fairly well sized and the downstairs living area/kitchen was very pleasant to be in - all you need really!
Balcony in the room Communal areas Beds Friendly atmosphere
Although the location was safe to sites and the main station had a lot of bother from men so did not feel safe as a group of girls.
It is a organize Hostel, I mean they know the principal things that the travelers need it. The attention it was good, kind people.
