Approx 500 metres from Place de Clichy and walking distance from St Andrews Catholic church on Rue de Saint Petersbourg - this hotel was a bargain find. Check-in was lightening quick the front of house welcoming. I had a twin room with en suite which was small but clean. I stayed 1 night and got what I paid for.
I can find no fault.
location is close to the metro.
room on the first floor has problem with window (no light coming through).
Room was clean and some of the staff were friendly.
Had extremely noisy guests in the next room and concergie said they would change my room and later on changed their minds. Another friend experienced bed bugs and then had to change rooms (now a room was available!). We all had to wash and disinfect our clothes on return home to the potential bed bug infestation. I would not recommend this hotel.
The area is safe, close to metro station and Gare Saint Lazare. The bed was OK.
The room was dump. Even though we opened window, as we closed it, the muggy smell came back. The room needs renovation (#21). The ventilation in a bathroom switches on with the light, so I felt really cold having a shower. The pics are better that the reality.
This hotel is very good situated, near to metro Place de Clichy. There are lots of shops, restaurant and more facilities. Receptionists are friendly, hotel is clean. There are elevator.
Room aren't quiet.
Location and local restaurants
Nothing- it is a bed and breakfast type hotel in a popular area. No luxury at all
If you're prepared to walk, the heart of Paris life and touristy highlights are available.
Don't expect anything special
Bad stuff shabby room bad services
very basic. Best feature was the location. Close to metro, Moulin Rouge and Sacre Couer. Did have good hot showers.
Run down. Kind of pricey for what it was.
quite good location
very old furniture, dirty walls, and the light didn't work, I had only the light from the bed lamp. It was cold in the room during the night
I liked that it was in good location close to metro.
there was mold in the shower, window does not close properly, all the equipment in the room was quite old and used, bed should be replaced and so.. on the other side it was adequate to 2 star hotel but for 135€/night you can get better hotel when you order 3 weeks before your arrival.
This place is quiet, clean and comfortable. Place de Clichy is known for being a bit eccentric, with the Moulin Rouge and redlight district just a couple of streets away but the location of this property is quiet. We felt perfectly safe walking around at night. Lots of restaurants, pubs, bakeries and a supermarket right on your front doorstep. It was our first time in Paris and we had no idea what area to stay in. We fluked it staying here but the location was perfect. Moulin Rouge only a few minutes walk, Montmarte is close (or the bus stop there if you don't want to walk up the hill), easy 20-25 minute stroll into the centre of Paris, the Lourve, the canal etc. Eiffel Tower might take you about 30mins to walk to but it's a beautiful walk and there is so much to see along the way that we took no notice of time. For those that don't want to walk, Place de Clichy metro station is only a couple of minutes walk an navigating the trains around Paris is cheap and easy. The property itself was simple but comfortable. It was quiet. We never heard any other guests when we were there. The property offers breakfast for 7 euro per person but we never ate there as there was a fantastic bakery/café down the road that we went to every morning instead. We were on level 6 which was the top level. I think there are only 2 rooms up there which is why it would have been so quiet. The ceiling on the top level is the a-frame roof with windows on each side so lots of natural light and the room was spacious. Toilet and bathroom was tiny but we were just happy to have these facilities in our own room and not down the hall. Beds were comfy.
This property is overpriced for what it is, but was on the cheaper end of what was available at short notice. The only bad thing I have to say about the rooms was the shower. It was one of those hand held ones but it never stayed in it's holder (I coped it in the head!) so you had to hold it in your hand while showering.
The staff was helpful with any problems I had. This is a two star of course but I didn't come to Paris to spend time in a hotel. The price was great and the location was close to everywhere I wanted to walk (but then again, I'm a walker)
While I didn't come to Paris to stay in a hotel the room was a bit small, the bathroom smaller. Yeah, right, that's whining on my part. I didn't come to Paris to sit in a bathroom either. If I was younger and wanted to spend more time in bed, though....
Rooms are not good. No facility in the rooms
LOCATION CLOSE TO METRO
STAFF WERE WERE SURLY AND NOT THAT FRIENDLY.BREAKFAST WAS. MEAGRE AND IF LATE DOWN. EVERYTHING WAS GONE.SEEMS TO BE OVER PRICEDFOR TWO STAR. HAD A SLIGHT DISAGREEMENT WHEN TRIED TO SETTLE BILL THEY WANTED 60 EUROS MORE THAN QUOTED. FORTUNATELY HAD COPY OF ORIGINAL QUOTE
Nice and clean room, really friendly staff, location is good, just abt 5minutes by walk to the closest tram station.
lacation, is near the Moulin Rouge, near 2 metro stations and on the same line to Charle de Gaulle
unpolite staff, not so clean, not so safe (2 days they let my room open after the cleaning, witch is not normal), really poor breakfast
The day time manager was ok
1-Night receptionist shouted at me 2-A lots of noise from the street 3-It was extremely hot in the room with no fan and i could open my window because of the noise 4-The lift broke so i had to carry my luggage everyday 5-Phone in the room didn't work
Reception staff not very friendly or helpful.
Excellent price for Paris, clean rooms and good attention from the staff
9 euros for the breakfast is expensive, the conversations from the other rooms are heard
Location was not far from the places I needed to be.
Fresh towels were on the dirty floor. The made gave me a one from the middle, the other one touched the floor. If I wouldn't have seen that , maybe that would be better. Anyway..... I will never ever be back there.
Shower didn't work. Complained & got moved to new room & they changed the beds after 1st night without saying. So bad I put mattress on the floor. RUDE!
The location is good, close to metro, and supermarket and resterant. The staff is helpful.
