Ideally in Paris’ stylish 2nd district, Hotel Icône is just a 10 minute walk from Opera Garnier and 220 yards from Richelieu-Drouot Metro Station. It features stylish, air-conditioned rooms.
Score from 344 reviews Very good
Very friendly and professional staff at reception. Friendly lady at breakfast
Mold in the bathroom Small rooms
great lift, helpful staff, wonderful view, great cable with BBC and other english options
wish there were a coffee maker in the room
Wonderful friendly helpful staff, great location with a lot of food places and bakeries nearby. Clean and comfortable.Metro is just up the road and you will be anywhere in the city within 15 mins
The layout of the bathroom
everything was fine
The room is very very small. No place even to keep the luggage. Toilet is very small. Cant even sit in the toilet. Lift is very slow and only one person can travel with luggage. Wifi is strong only in the rooms near to lift. In other rooms it is very very poor. Not at all worthy for money. You can find many good hotels for such a high price. You need to pay extra for getting rooms with bath tub. One of the worst hotel i have stayed.
Easy access to public transports. Shops, supermarkets, places to eat ,... were all within walking distance.
Lift was quite small.
Very close to metro station. There is a big supermarket nearby and some restaurants. Very good breakfast. Very helpful personnel on reception
Small elevator. Has only 80cm x 80cm
I liked the location bc it isn't touristy and it's very close to the metro. Restaurants and cafés nearby. Prob not for you if you're wanting to stay amongst the crowds.
Their bed. You can borrow the iron. WiFi worked fine but after we asked twice for it to be fixed. Location. Breakfast and stuff in their restaurant.
Room is super small. Cleaning lady did not clean the toalet, did not bring toalet paper and we stayed for 5 days! Stuff at the reception is not realy polite. No smile at all.
beds very hard, not comfortable, no tea/coffee making facility, shower wet floor and toilet pedestal every time used.
Hotel location is 5 mins from tram
Cost of parking is steep, rooms were incredibly tired, WiFi only worked in reception area
Breakfast service good and friendly. Place close to metro and a couple of good restaurants. The area is quiet and friendly and there is also a small supermarket within close vicinity.
Used this hotel a couple of years ago and it appear to have deteriorated a bit since then. The rooms are, well, acceptable but need maintenance. The place is nearly at the end of a metro line and travel time from city centre a bit long. Rental then a bit on the high side.
The staff was very helpful, not only during our stay, but also via email beforehand. The rooms are pretty small but we had two rooms connected by our own floor which was great for our girls who wanted to stay in touch. The hotel offers safe parking slots nearby, and the metro and bus station is only a few walking minutes away. The district itself offers some brasseries and restaurants which is very comfortable after a long day. I definitely recommend this hotel for people and families who don't bother with big rooms and are not dependent on WiFi connectivity.
The WiFi doesn't work properly.
The elevator was too small. Stroller doesnt fit. We had to carry it up to the second floor.
Our daughter was studying for the summer at university and we wanted to be close when came to visit. This hotel was a great location to walk there and the metro was just around the corner to get anywhere in Paris easily. Hotel was charming and neighborhood had great cafés with much more reasonable prices since not in the prime tourist sections. Also a nice market on sat just a couple blocks away. Hotel bed was very comfortable and best sleep of our entire Europe trip.
- proximity to transport links - proximity to diners and restaurants - good size rooms - friendly staff
- breakfast wasn't great
The staffs are helpful and kind. The room is clean, comfortable. The public transportation, bus, tram, tube are very close to the hotel.
I did't feel of dislike points.
I liked the people who worked there, they were super nice. The hotel is really close to the metro, bus and tram as well as the supermarket and fruit&vegetables store.
I didn't like that we had to pay extra for breakfast.
Located in a quiet street, yet one block from a major boulevard with plenty of public transportation (metro and bus) to go to the main attractions in Paris. Parking is available from the hotel in a nearby parking garage (21 euros) or in the streets nearby, which is free all day during August. Rooms and elevator are small, but very charming. Supermarkets, bars and restaurants are at walking distance
Great location (neighbouring to Butte Aux Cailles which is a very nice neighbourhood; also very close to big metro station; neighbourhood seemed safe and was quiet) Nice hotel, very clean, friendly staff. Great breakfast (though expensive). Good wifi. Reasonable price. I will be coming back.
The beds were not very comfortable and the bedding was a bit ancient and did not look clean (the blankets and bed spreads).
The room and the bathroom were clean, but there was an empty cooldrink bottle in our room next to the bar fridge. That makes you wonder what else they missed? The wifi was good.
The staff were a bit snooty. We had to leave our room key at reception every time we went out. The room was extremely small. We didn't eat breakfast there as it was overpriced and very limited.
Good location, next to bus (line 28/38) and Metro (line 4) station. Friendly staff, though not all of them speak English. English TV channels (CNN, BBC, ...etc.)
Bed sheets look quite old-fashioned and cheap and seem have been used for many years. Room is not soundproof, one may hear others talking in corridor or closing doors.
Everything, especially the staffs
Clean, quiet, hot water, convenient to transportation, restaurants, grocery stores. The guy working the front desk, (Adel I think - I feel bad I forget his name) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable!! He went above and beyond to make sure we knew how to get around and all his advise was valuable. Exceptional service. The room was nice and my daughter and I liked the old time elevator. Great value for the money.
