The hotel is about a 10 minute drive from monte carlo. There is a great view from the rooms and the restaurant. Good VFM in my opinion. We enjoyed the stay.
Everything is very old in the hotel. Needs to be renovated. However, everything is clean and works properly. The rooms are carpet wall to wall and when everything is so old, it smells that way as well. Pool is less attractive than the pictures
the hotel was amazing but the views in particular were spectacular.
The breakfast buffet was poor for the price, and more like a four than a five star hotel breakfast
Clean, possition, staff.
The place really, really needs a facelift and refurbishment. Has anything been done to the hotel over the last 40 years
Fabulous views from our dual aspect room. Friendly, helpfully staff.
Needs a bit of refurbishment and redecoration but that seemed to be underway already.
The location was spectacular & the hotel well appointed
The phones in the room didn't work so we had to use our cell to phone reception, we were told it was sunday so we'd have to iron our own shirts. We ate a meal for €200 that wasn't that great. The next day there was no water in any of our part of the hotel we called reception 4 times to try to find a solution i.e. a key to a room in the part of the hotel with water. No one came, after an hour I went to reception I was told to wait after 10mins I tried to beg for a key so we could shower, I was told I was bruto by a rude receptionist. We left an hour late,I complained to the manager.....but rather than offer us anything they tried to overcharge us by €50. Finally he knocked off the breakfast, which was also poor......very disappointed.
Nothing worked in any of the rooms
Free parking Really nice toiletries
The hotels fotograph showing the beach is misleading. The hotel's beach is about 5 kms from the property in a village named Menton. They should clearly mention it in their properties features. The rooms are not upto the standard of a 5* hotel... During our stay the hotel intercom was disfunctional and we had to go to the reception or bar if we wanted to order something from room service. The hotel is clearly not upto the standards n service of a 5* property. The furnishings are in dire need of renovation.
Hotel rooms are very run down - need a major overhaul.
Cleanliness of the bathroom & gardens need to be better maintained.
Swimmingpool area was nice. Good breakfast.
Shuttle arrangement was not a good experience, the shuttle did not pick us up as agreed in front of Monaco casino the evening when it rained and was thunder. Even through we had an agreement beforehand at the reception that they should. And the telephoneline to the hotell was out of order.
Helpful staff, beautiful location, The shuttle down to Monaco was great
Food in bar very expensive and service slow.
Nice view, free parking
25 Euro to use to fridge , very poor internet , old rooms, fire alarm in the middle of the night
The views, the views, the views....
Vista Palace Hotel - other than views of Monaco which are amazing - is a hotel that is in need of refurbishment. When you drive up you first impression (knowing how much you are paying per night, and based on the hotel booking photos) is very much one of great disappointment. Although rooms are clean - the only wow factor is the view. This is the first place I have ever staying in that wanted to charge me 25euros for placing my bottle if water in the fridge!!! The beds however were very comfortable. Bath sheets provide a touch of luxury; breakfast venue provides amazing views. If I was to ever come back to Monaco - which other than casino and immediately surrounding buildings has a 'run down' feel - I would look for alternative accommodate for now having stayed here in my view the rates Vista Palace charges are excessive and only justifiable by the views of Monaco some (not all) of the rooms offer.
The view was unreal
The staff were rude, location is a long way away from the town
We loved it so much we stayed another night. View amazing. Regular curtesy bus.
Not one thing to dislike
Beautiful view of France, Monaco, and Italy. Quaint village nearby and centrally located for a scenic drive in the mountains. Free parking and shuttle service. Friendly staff.
Not a 5 star hotel, maybe 3. In need of updates and repairs.
The view are nice
Staff from Reataurant are not very welcome . Not as friendly as I thought .
just about nothing
See our separate mail with photos to your customer-service address. This Hotel is about the worst I have been in for a so called 5star!!! The building is nicely places, but completely run-down und not taken care of.
No heating, no wifi, dirty dishes left in hallway for 3 days, leaking roof and bedroom ceiling collapsed, very old in real need of cleaning and updating. Never a 4 or five star I would rate as a 2 star
The view was fantastic. I could not get enough of the view. The room is spacious for the area. Bathtub was a big plus in my book. Love the hotel, would love to stay there again.
The restaurant could serve a bit more variety of food. Choices were limited in the dinner menu.
The staff that checked us into the hotel were extremely lovely, and very helpful. They were also very kind enough to upgrade us to a sea view room as it was our honeymoon! The view from this hotel was stunning. The room itself was a great size, good bed with full bathroom including bathtub. We would definitely come back to this hotel and the great service provided.
Hotel has seen better days, the place lacks attention, not a five star hotel any longer
Staff at the reception are very nice and friendly , but i believe i should not carry my luggage to my room on my first day .
on my first day , my welcome was not up to a 4 stars hotel , i carried my own luggage by myself all the way to my room , could have been somebody from the reception , the cleaning staff is to noisy , one day i could not sleep because two of the cleaning staff was having a argue in the corridor for at least 30 minutes , the valet services hit my car with a other one , the white wine by the glass at the bar is not cold but warm etc.... i had much better experience in different hotel in the same area , for the price you paid is not a great deal , will not recommend to any of my family and friends .
Room 901 was one of the best in Monaco with owned Pisina, spacious and best location in the hotel
All restaurants are closing to early
The views are stunning; the rooms are comfortable, staff are efficient and very helpful, the food in the bar and the breakfasts is good, and everything worked. Oh, and did I mention - the views are stunning!!!
The hotel seems a little tired - in need of a refresh. It pitches itself as a 5-star - and is priced as such - but seems more like 3.5 - 4 stars. The food in the main restaurant is pretentious and overpriced.
