Don't have a bad word to say about the place. The lift is small but it serves it purpose, we didn't have exceptionally large luggage.
Location is superb.'Grands boulevards' Metro just around the corner.Easy walking distance to Lourve.Free wifi worked really well.Got a 5th floor room with balcony.Lovely large room with 2xpull-out beds, ensuite.Perfect for family.Plenty of restaurants/bars nearby, McDonalds,Starbucks,Hardrock café.'Romero' the hotel cat was the highlight for our 6yr old.

This place was wonderful. Great value! I got the comfort double room with balcony. Other reviewers had said the room was tiny & not how it was pictured. That is not true!! I thought the room was rather large & it had a huge private bathroom. The balcony was the best part. To the right I could see the Sacre Coeur and to the left was the Eiffel Tower. You really can't ask for a better room in the 2nd for this price. The Metro is around the corner. Wifi was good and there were lots of cable channels in many languages. I didn't have breakfast but it smelled delicious. Very happy!!! From now on, I will always stay at this place when I come to visit Paris!!!

Bed was not that comfy, wifi was not very good in our room and also we didn't have a toilet in our room we had to share a communal one with the floor we was on.
Location was good. It was right In the middle of bars, restaurants, shops. It was pretty far away from all the landmarks such as Eiffel Tower, but what's any better than having a stroll down the main streets dipping into little unique shops, and cafés.

Very small elevator (the smallest I ever experienced) and very small breakfast (for 11 euros a person!).
Location and friendly personnel.

The room was a little drab and older feeling than it looked in comparison to the photos online. Housekeeping did not replace the bath toiletries (shampoo, soap) during our 4 night stay. We were required to leave our room key at the front desk when leaving the hotel to site see, which felt a little odd, but it was a 24 hour desk and we didn't have to worry about keeping up with it that way at least, so we didn't really mind.
We had a double room with a private bathroom and balcony, which was comfortable, although the room was small (which is to be expected in Paris). The lift is small, and our room was on the sixth floor, which was not a problem, as we don't mind stairs, but for someone with disabilities or who doesn't like stairs, you may want to take this into consideration. The staff was friendly, the ground floor was nice and well decorated, and the hotel cat, Romero, was fun to see as we came and went. We enjoyed having the balcony and outdoor space it provided. It was in a good location to walk to a lot of sites.

In my room there was a very nice renovated bathroom. I think they probably solved that issue.

Super clean, nice breakfast, beautiful bathroom, elevator and a welcoming pet cat.

There was no bar or restaurant
Room was lovely, big balcony and was very clean.

Communal toilet was a bit unusual, and the elevator was very small.
Lovely room in a good location

I think the inconvenient part would be my "toilet" is not in my bathroom. So I had to get out of my room for the call of nature, and get back to room without washing my hands, since the lavatory has no sink. Hummm. The other thing is that I though as a hotel, they would clean the rooms everyday, but instead found out our room was not been cleaned after coming home, it was quite a surprise, though that did not really bother me too much, but how do you think?!
Hotel Vivienne is located in a pretty convenient location, where you can get to some famous spots and nice restaurants by walking or by the metro near by (3 mins walk to Grands Boulevards). The room me and my friend had was actually small but comfortable enough with a double bed, TV, shower room, tiny closet and a table.

location is good

No really a complaint as such. But I think management should review the type of mattress. They are the type that contain a lot of fibre packing inside so this makes the mattress noisy and a bit hard.
The friendly helpful staff . they did an amazing job while the hotel was being refurbished. Although it was advertised as having a shared bathroom, we had a nice surprise of a shower in our room. Will be watching the website to see the new renovations when finished. Will certainly be back to stay again because of the lovely staff

First of all the room doesn't have a toilet! If you can manage to put a shower and a sink in a bathroom it should not be so hard to put a toilet either. Every time we needed to use the toilet we had to go to the other side of the corridor and use the toilet there. Another thing, the ground of the room was trapezoid. The bed part was upper and the other part was lower. The bed was horrible and even though we asked for a smoking room they gave us a non smoking room. So it was hard everytime to go downstairs. It wasn't worth the money we spended on the hotel. It was a horrible hotel.
The Location of the hotel was ok. Although it was hard to find it 'cuz nobody we asked for adress description in the street seemed to know the hotel.
