The location of the hotel is great, and the hotel itself is a historical beauty. From the rooms with sea view you can really se all the beach from the airport to the old town. Rooms are spacious.Staff is very friendly and helpful. Free internet access is a plus, because in France many hotels still charge by the hour. My room in the fifth floor needs a re-decoration.But my friends' in the fourth floor was newly decorated. |

west end was very comfortable staff super, realy enjoyed my stay. the food was very expensive, the set lunch at €35 to much. as a result no body in restaraunt. |

It's location is very good. The rooms were very basic, no double beds, no shower curtains and overall I though not very good value for money. |

We enjoyed the proximity to the beach. The hotel staff were very helpful in general except for the comments below. We booked a sea view room, but on arrival we were told that the hotel was full & they could not give us the sea view room after all. When we asked if the room we were given would be cheaper we were told no. It is the same price, of course, but they did include breakfast in the room price. The breakfast the next day was extremely disorganised. We had to find our own cutlery & the supply of food was not being replenished - staff problems we think. |

Location and charm were ideal. With the exemption mentioned below, staff was wonderfully helpful and friendly. Price was great and facilities were top notch. Reception staff was very rude and unhelpful. Every time we tried to ask her a question she couldn't help and eventually said "she wasn't from around there" not a good thing to have at the desk... |

The hotel was in a good location and has the potential to be an excellent hotel. Deluxe room was small for price. Staff was a little arrogant. Shower leaked onto the floor. No pay per view TV or radio. Replacement roll of toilet paper was molded. Ceiling air conditioner leaked. Front desk was notified; however 1.5 hours later, they were unaware of the call and maintenance had left for the day. Spoke to a manager, who upgraded us to a larger Jr suite. |

Things I liked about the hotel were the Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The was a large damp stain on the wall of the corridor outside room 302. The carpet was filthy in the main reception and in room 302, definately needs changing. the lifts were very slow. |

The Hotel was very disappointing as we felt the room needed to be refurbished. We were booked to stay for 4 nights but we checked out after the first night and moved hotels. |

the location we were shipped off to another hotel because our room was apparently not available and then shipped back when i complained. not the ideal start to a weekend break with my pregnant girlfriend, particularly when it was costing us 250 euros a night |

Clean and comfortable room and good location - close to beach, casino, shops, old town. Breakfast very expensive. Beach very expensive. A couple of staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful, others were off-hand and unhelpful. We had to keep asking for things that were included were included in our package, eg car parking included, internet included... |

hotel is elegant, rooms furnished well with comfortable bed; our junior suite was quite spacious, and the balcony was the best part - with its sea view very relaxing and beautiful. Though the Promenade is noisy with traffic, great insulation kept the room quiet at night. We would choose this hotel again and highly recommend it to others, esp. Maintenance could be more vigilant about details like burned-out light bulbs in bathroom, etc. But overall, service was very good. |

Location is perfect. Breakfast was included in my package, excellent choices. Staff is helpful and very friendly size of the room is a bit small for "deluxe" category. Price is higher than what it should be |

The location of this hotel is excellent. Apart from the location, there is not much else to recommend about it, e.g.no lounge or bar, a very sad reading area, expensive breakfast, etc. |

We were reluctant to stay at this hotel due to some of the bad ratings. However, I really think this hotel is a great value for hte money. If you are looking for a water view with a balcony at a good price and are willing to overlook some minor worn carpet--this is your place! We got the deluxe room with a water view and had the best experience sipping coffee on our balcony! |

Great location. Four star with lovely antique furniture and friendly staff. Our junior suite had full sea views, a large bedroom, a jacuzzi bath and a balcony with table and two chairs. It also had a small bedroom and separate dining area. We had a great price - 399 euros for three nights. Normal JS price 650 euros a night ( 900 in Monaco GP week) night far too expensive for us. NB Not all floors have been upgraded - avoid floors 5 and 6. No coffee or tea making facilities or trouser press. Carpet burnt and marked in a couple of places in our room. |

The ambience of the old building The lighting in the room was very hard to understand: And there were strange construction sounding noises coming from the next room but when I contacted the front desk they told me there was no work going on: And breakfast; which we refused was extremely overpriced for any hotel: |
