Loved everything about this B & B Beautiful rooms, extremely clean, friendly owners, perfect location, yummy breakfast. In fact one of the best places we've stayed in our 30 years of traveling.
Having to leave.
From parking to walking through the garden, we had a idea of the standard of the place, we weren't dissapointed . The rooms were so inviting and the deco tasteful. Just perfect
Could have done with more cake.
The cottage was warm, cosy and very well equipped. Great to have DAB radio upstairs as well as downstairs! To be able to book for 3 days just when we wanted it was brilliant. We loved the little garden and summerhouse even in late October.
The two front steps were quite steep but this was mentioned by the owners in the booking confirmation.
Everything, particularly the quality of the room. It was very upmarket and the owner was very welcoming. We even had tea and cake on arrival!
Everything, could not fault it. Very homely and comfie , lovely decor, spotlessly clean. Towels, dressing gowns and toiletries included + a few starter items bread butter wine cake etc just perfect .
Nothing to dislike
The quality of all the fittings and fixtures,The owners were very helpfull and profesional .
We liked the spacious room and excellent en suite facilities . The bed was very comfortable and everything was top quality. Location perfect and made very welcome on arrival with tea and cake in the lounge. Would certainly stay again.
Tea and a slice of cake on arrival. Comfortable room, excellent breakfast menu. Friendly and helpful proprietor.
Pickering is rather hilly, but this isn't the fault of the hotel.
Hosts were friendly, polite and made every effort possible to make you feel at home - great visit.
Nothing, excellent visit and great accommodation.
Service and general cleanliness excellent. Also decor and finish of the room was to a high standard.
The only grumble we had was the time of breakfast of when it was served and that it was only a half hour slot.
Clean modern accommodation. Friendly host 5 mins walk to town.
Quiet convenient location near to centre of Pickering with parking availbale at rear. Very helful staff. Resturants and bars as well as North York Moors railway and castle nearby
breakfast is served quite late 0845-0915 weekends (0815-0845 weekdays). Appeared to have worse terms via booking.com than if we had booked direct.
Lovely spacious rooms.very nice breakfast.lounge with bar.owners extremely friendly and helpful.loved everything about it.great location.very relaxing.would always stay here if in Pickering
Can't think of any dislikes?apart from leaving.....didn't like that!!
Clean spacious with excellent breakfast
Loved everything about the cottage. Very comfortable and had all we could possibly need. The garden and summerhouse were a bonus. Very close to Pickering main street.
Quality of bedroom and location. Welcome host.
Breakfast was a big disappointment considering the 5 star quality accommodation. Portion sizes were tiny for a full English. Fresh fruit selection not replenished hardly any left for us. No tablecloths. Shame - enjoyed everything else. Would recommend but without the optional breakfast.
This establishment is well located in the town, with polite, attentive owners resident on site. Could not fault anything with our stay.
Not aware of anything to not like.
Lovely room, great location ,all that you wish from a place to stay.
Central location, large room in a totally renovated old house. Very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was good but not over generous and would have been cheaper had we booked direct with the guesthouse.
Everything was perfect.
Lovely boutique property with friendly welcoming owners. Really appreciated the welcome tea and cakes and hope to stay longer next time.
The location, cleanliness, staff, building and general ambiance of the surroundings.
The later check in time.
Peacefull, quiet, 2 mins from town center.
Genuine hospitality of proprietors, Easy to find, pretty location, sunny, unflappable reception, despite the fact that our emailed request concerning our dog had not reached No17 in time, Generous bed and toiletries, good eggs for breakfast, decent conversation, homely unpretentious pictures in the hall, car park within easy reach, truly excellent Indian restaurant for dinner within walking distance.
My husband and I liked everything. However, our dog Olga the borzoi - a sight hound, aged 11, did not think much of the cat statue on the garden stairs. The live resident ginger cat moved away, eventually, but the statue just stood there. Olga thought it quite menacing, even without hissing and back arching. In other words, there was really nothing there to dislike. (Olga got over the statue as soon as she fell asleep.)
