Very good,
Score from 218 reviews
“Excellent facilities, the apartments have everything you could need and if you compare to a hotel, absolutely fab. Well kitted out kitchen, lovely bathroom and bedrooms. I was there for one evening only and didn't want to do a shop for one night so was delighted to find 6 teabags in the room, just perfect.”

location was ideal for a girls weekend away the apartment was nothing like it was in the photos. We were under the impression that the 2 bed apartment was luxury and had a balcony, none of this was there. The luxury part should not be on the website and the floors felt like they needed a good wash. The shower was rubbish and hardly had any power. If it was supposed to be luxury I would have thought that it would have had two toilets as well.

I travel to London 10-12 days per month, I can not stay there again unless the internet service is improved. Please call me if you can fix the problem, my next reservation has been made at a local hotel. I have two other business partners doing the same. Bed and lack of good internet service, I need to be able to.work.from.there

The feel of the room (505) was superb. Nice balcony, kitchonette....it felt like an apartment instead of a hotel room. Great location. Very helpful staff (Renata, I believe)....I would stay again

A great location, with very good reception staff - we did have a problem with no hot water, which was not what we needed having just run the London Marathon - however an alternative apartment was made available for us to use the shower. A hot bath was what was really needed! There is nothing not to like! Although it is quite expensive, but it is the centre of London.

I was there for one evening only and didn't want to do a shop for one night so was delighted to find 6 teabags in the room, just perfect. The only downsides I could find were I couldn't find a hairdryer - there may have been one as there was everything else you'd ever need but as I say, couldn't find one; lastly the doors are all swing shut and quite heavy and I'm going back in June with my husband and little one and I'm a little worried that she'll get her fingers caught in the doors.

Location was the main reason for choosing 196, the space was very big for a studio and very well equipped with everything we required, it had a separate bathroom and laundry room with detergent which was great if any washing or ironing was required. The room was cool in the evening but the next morning, it was so hot to the point of it been very uncomfortable, we had to prop a chair up against the double doors to the corridor to release the heat! Also one of the blinds in the room was broken and would not close, the window looked directly onto our bed so anyone could see in....not good and again very uncomfortable as we were surround by other rooms who's windows all faced into each other - like a sort of court yard.

This was our third stay with you. We always enjoy staying at 196 Bishopsgate, and we have always found everything about the serviced apartments to be excellent. We thank you for your first-class care and attention, and we look forward to staying with you soon again.

Lage (Nähe Undergound), quiet, good sized rooms Reception more like a youth hostel, a bit run down, no elegance or charm; high price on the Internet compared to prizes offered on the spot

Excellent location, directly across from Liverpool Train/tube station. Very quiet and clean. Full kitchen available with all the necessary utensils. Did not bring a computer, but the Bishopsgate Library, a block away, have internet service available for 50p per 30 minutes. Maid service 6 days a week. Was an extra 50 pound charge upon checkin for "incidentals" which was fully refunded upon our checking out.

Good location, close to train station, supermarket and restaurants and pubs. Receptionists could smile a bit more, maybe they tried to appear very "profesional/corporate" like, but a friendly smile can always make your welcome feel a bit "warmer" :o)

I thought the staff was outstanding, especially the ladies who took care of our room. The lighting in the rooms, especially the bathrooms was poor. The mechanical things seem a bit worn. The lift and our washer/dryer both broke while we were there, but the staff did their best to accommodate us.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the location was perfect, we travelled with a one year old in a pram and the location made it possible for us to get around London with minimal use of the tube, which is always a lovely thing. We got upgraded too, which was great. I'd love to stay there again.

I love to stay there since its a service apartment. We got also a free upgrade. The place is cozy though we had no view from the apartment. The food place was also easily reached. Tesco grocery, mark & spencer food were just foot stepped from the hotel. Overall we will come back for our next trip to London

Location and proximity to the Tube were fine. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious, as befitting a hotel that caters to longer stays for businesspeople. I'd recommend this place but only to business travelers. We foolishly decided on the continental breakfast which was very overpriced and obviously used recycled and not very decent food (one milk carton expired four days before). In addition, we got WAY more than we needed -- a 8 liters of milk AND 8 liters of juice for four people. The beds had a single large pillow to be shared by two people. Obviously oriented on the single business traveler, but double beds should have two pillows. Access from the street was supposed to work using the room swipe card but none of them worked -- for us or other tenants. Fortunately, reception is 24 hrs but when the clerk is in the WC or having a smoke then you have to wait on the street -- fortunately (?) the police station is two doors away....

Always stayed in an Hotel before now, but loved this idea of having an apartment and would do again. An excellent place to stay. Will be visiting again.
