The hotel is excellently situated for exploring the beauty of the local area. You can cross over the main Lake Road to start an enchanting and romantic woodland walk leading to a path beside Lake Windermere and the Steamboat Museum. Only a short walk will bring you to the lake shore in Bowness where you will find boats for rent and steamers for lake cruises, giving you time to enjoy the outstanding scenery. Good location Room very stuffy as towel ral was on full blast with no way to turn it off. Uncomfortable matress. Shower had bad pressure and shower head was broken. Room was not properly clean on secnd night. Towels frayed. Not a boutique hotel

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful and very luxurious. no complaints at all
