The location is brilliant, close enough to the main routes without being on them, and only a short walk to the station and nightlife. The bathroom was terrible, it was clean, but it was dated, poorly lit and very cold. It also had one of those half baths, you know the type thats deeper than a shower tray but not really big enough to be a proper long soak bath tub. Also the extraction fan didn't work, and the vent ducting that did run from the bathroom was being wind whipped by the weather outside, with the noise being constant. As a regular traveller I have stayed in various places in Newcastle and given the choice I would have rather have stayed at the Holiday Express 200yds round the corner. |

I'm not sure that £84 per night, room only with no parking or breakfast facilities is good value for money. The bars were noisy as were the corridors at night/early morning. Cold showers, limited towels. |

The excellent location, right in the centre of Newcastle. Lots of groups but the reception staff ensured us if we had any noise problems to call them and they would sort it, however we were not disturbed at all. |

The staff were friendly and helpful, checking in was quick and easy and the food was excellent. There was no room service only a tray service, when i am going out i like to eat my dinner in my room before i get ready but was unable to which is a little luxury i enjoy in a hotel. |

As a Couple using this hotel as it was near to the Metro Arena which was great, but we were put next door to a party of 20 lads on a Stag Weekend. Why do this to people surely they knew this... we asked for a move and they did so. |

The hotel staff were helpful and informative regarding the city of Newcastle. We were able to park the car in the 600 space car park adjacent to the hotel which was excellent because we were going to the Metro Radio Arena. |

hotel was clean and good location we asked for a quiet room and were told we would have a room at the front and not by the road. when we got our room it was at the back of the hotel with all busy roads outside, and a group of young revellers in the room next door.if we had had a quieter night the hotel would be recommended. |

Excellently located for the Merto Arene and shopping Hotel was very busy at dinner on the 4th October. We had to sit on high stools (bar style) for our dinner which wasn't quite what we expected. |

proximity to centre of city Very rowdy indeed at weekends with lots of stag and hen night parties disturbing the quiet enjoyment even quite late into the early hours of the morning |

very close to the centre and train station, catered especially well for large groups -we had a total of 5 rooms over 2 nights for a Hen Party the fire alarm was set off on saturday evening so we had to exit the hotel at 6am, one pf teh girls in the party was pregnant and they did not cater well for her needs with regards to leaving the building, although they did allow her to sit inside after she asked. The large groups of other guests did added to our experience, but guests staying for others reasons may have found the late night noise an issue. |
