Castle Campbell is a small, comfy hotel serving good food. It was built as a coaching inn in 1822, and has a friendly atmosphere, helpful staff and charming rooms with private bathrooms.

Close to station and shops.
House numbers not visible. Bread knife in kitchen would have been handy
location close to all amenities, town centre, train station, etc.
Curtains in bedrooms too light so sleep difficult after dawn (5 a.m.). No mirrors anywhere except bathroom and this too small and not at all suitable as bathroom mirror. Fan attached to light switch so noise especially at night whenever anyone used the bathroom. Floors extremely noisy to walk on, especially bathroom
organized..quiet...friendly n cheerful owner
flooring sounds a bit noisy
The apartment is spacious, clean, comfy, and well-equipped with everything you want for a holiday. The staff is helpful and lovely. What else do you need for your holiday? ^ ^
Jane, the owner, was exceptionally friendly, helpful and kind. Spacious 2 bedroomed ground floor flat. Double and single bedrooms with double built in wardrobes in each room. Kitchen with cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine. Nice sized living room with tv and wifi. Used the flat for the bank holiday weekend whilst visiting friends and found it to be more than adequate for our needs.
Not the easiest place to find as the flats were not signposted as Christina Apartments and were at the end of a lane in a housing estate.
The owner was lovely and told us she was new at this. The wifi worked well and the bathroom had a good shower and was modern. The beds were comfy and had good wardrobe and drawer storage. The bed linen was clean, even though the double bed linen was very old and didn't match the decor as it had on the promotional picture)
The apartment was smelly. The carpets were very stained and although we used a whole febreeze bottle and bought Yankee candles, we stayed out as much as possible. It was dusty. I took pictures of the dust on the dining chairs and of the very used sofa. There was no can opener and the toaster was still full of crumbs when we got there. The TV was a huge old one so there was no HDMI connection to use our Apple TV so my husband had to watch The Masters on his iPad. The apartment is not in a nice area but would be ok for the price had it not been smelly.
