In stunning gardens a mile from Ware, Fanhams Hall is a relaxing hotel with good services and some stylish new courtyard bedrooms. Fanhams is a listed Jacobean building 18 miles from Stansted Airport....

Set in 22 acres of beautiful grounds, Mulberry House has impressive Georgian architecture, boasting 2 restaurants and elegant rooms. There is excellent access to highways M11 and M25.

Only 16 miles from Stansted Airport and just minutes from highway M11/M25, this 14th century former coaching inn now offers comfortable accommodations with private bathrooms in this quiet village.

The pretty bedroom, cleanliness ,comfortable warm bed, good bathroom and lack of traffic noise. The Continental breakfast was enjoyable and the coffee good.
The 'kitchen' was in a lobby adjacent to the bedroom but other guests could walk through to their apartment or to exit the property. This detracted from the privacy one would normally have to make a cup of tea while still in pyjamas!
Warm, cosy. Welcoming. little place in a nice secluded location .we both thought the owners were warm geniune people who wanted to make your stay as pleasent as they could.
Privacy was a little compromised, because of the layout.we thought bed mattress was good but bed itself was of poor quality.
The hosts were there to meet the guests and were very nice and informative. The room and breakfast area were clean and well prepared with fresh milk in a fridge for tea ( always important to me). Good value for money for a short stay.
On arrival the car parking area is quite awkward to get into from the single track road and is very small. The bed is very close to the wall on one side, would be better to do without one of the bedside tables to allow a bit more room
Very friendly and efficient. Typical cottage feel about the place.
Loved everything...very welcoming and helpful...simple continental breakfast...the hosts went out of their way to welcome us even though I had booked the following night!! Top Tip: The local pub does excellent evening meals even on a Sun night...3 mins drive away...
Be aware that the lounge area is the only access for the hosts to the breakfast room for the other guests...of no great concern to us but gave my older daughter the hurry along when she was getting changed in there in morning...
The owners are extremely friendly, welcoming, attentive and helpful. This was our second visit as we found our first stay so lovely and memorable. The place has a nice feel to it, not only because of the lovely cottage and garden but most definitely also because of the couple running it. Highly recommended.
Parking a bit tight, but still works well.
My first visit and very impressed. A warm welcome and a clean cosy room. The location is close by to places to eat and the owners provided some good recommendations for food. A comfortable night and lovely continental breakfast. A quality bed and breakfast!
Friendly people & a reasonable location.
Poor breakfast that could have been so much better. Continental it might have been but only toast or croissants were offered alongside a glass of fresh orange juice & coffee/tea. How much better if there had been cheese/cold meats etc. & quality marmalade rather than the standard pre-wrapped items. Expected more of a 'real' continental for the price especially as no cooked was available.
Very welcoming owners. Will stay again if in the area.
Miles & Chris excellent. We had car & phone problems. They helped us out with all the necessary arrangements. We are most appreciative. Godd location for what we wanted to do.
Wade and Chris could not have been more helpfull they made our stay memorable. The area where it is situated has great restraunts. We will be back
The lady running Burstead cottages (who's name sadly has left me) is fantastic, and the businesses most valuable asset. The quaint little rooms with the bathrooms behind what appear to be wardrobe doors are, despite how that sounds, lovely to be in and comfortable. The bed was a standard double, which is an observation more than a complaint, and the breakfast was more than adequate.
Parking is very limited and awkward depending on who is staying and who is leaving first in the morning!
Great welcome, friendly, homely facility, but professional
TV in room - too high up on the wall, too small and could only view the picture standing in the space by the wall and bed. At any other angle the picture was blurred, dark and indecipherable.
Loved the friendly welcome, beautiful country cottage, and the personal serving of the continental breakfast was lovely.either
A lovely rural setting, but you really have to drive to reach either Bishop Stortford or Sawbridgeworth
Very friendly welcome .pretty garden views .liked the breakfast set up with each room having its own private breakfast area.
When we arrived we had a lovely welcome and our stay was excellent from start to finish. The couple were very accommodating and we were made to feel like nothing was too much effort. The family room was ideal as we have a 2 year old and he slept in the lounge as there is a separate bedroom, which had a beautiful view of the garden. We won't hesitate to stay there again!
The owners greeted us as we arrived and it felt like we were welcomed into their family aswell as their home. The surroundings were so rural being close to london and was very peaceful. We were not rushed out like most guest houses we have stayed at. We were given breakfast in the morning in the garden. I would recommend our stay here to anyone as it was very memorable and we made some really nice friends in the process so we will be returning soon.
Booked into the Cottage ahead of an evening arrival into Stansted. Easy to find after a 20 minute or so drive. Great hospitality, comfortable bed and excellent breakfast (paid extra for full English) the following morning.
Warm and welcoming with excellent food. The family room was infact two rooms....The bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, with ensuite, and a lounge room with tele, fridge with milk +coffee, tea and biscuits, sofa table and chairs.
The owners were so very welcoming and very attentive. Everything was really homely and lovely and clean. We had the family room with the extra sitting room and it was just right for our needs. We would definitely recommend this gorgeous little place to everyone.
Location, type of room and Host
The hosts were extremely helpful, and very welcoming. The room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable.
The parking was a little difficult due to a small parking area and exiting onto a quite busy narrow lane. That being said, the hosts offered to assist if required.
Home from home in a lovely countryside location .
fantastic place felt so welcome highly recommend
Great B&B. Would recommend to anyone who needs to stay in the area.
