I stayed here for at least five nights, and the first room we were given was extremely small. The bed did not have a mattress cover and top sheet and it was really uncomfortable and not sanitary for how many people have to stay in that specific bed. I was bitten by a flea- and was really grossed out that there wasn't more bed linens covering the bed. the bathroom was nice. Breakfast was low quality and could be improved.

The location was ideal for our purposes. The staff members were sullen, unhelpful, one step away from showing contempt for the guests. We were met, late at night, by a demand for full payment - or leave; your booking says clearly that payment must be made 'during' the stay, NOT at check-in; the sullen receptionist simply said that 'hotel policy has changed'; the implication was "No pay, no room; get back on the street" at 11 pm. This place should be avoided by all who want a warm welcome by knowledgeable staff.

The room was clean, well maintained and modern. The bathroom and shower were great, and all the heating and appliances worked. Breakfast was standard, the cleaning staff were great as well! Tge double room was much better than the single room though. The female front-desk staff was unfriendly and very rude. I am a very polite person so I really expect that in return, but sadly the staff, who are on the whole quite good, are let down by her. She not only told me to "shut-up" twice, she was similarly disrespectful and patronising to other guests in my presence. I had organised a late check-out, and despite this 10 minutes before I was to leave the room she screamed at me to get down now. She seemed to enjoy talking to me like a child. When I asked for her name, three different times so I could complain to management, she (knowing that she had acted in a disrespectful manner), refused to give it to me. Anyway, if you are someone who expects to be treated with some dignity, dob't stay here!

Excellent location - close to Bayswater and Queensway tube stations, shops and cafes. Staff was helpful and offered some good advise about travelling in London. Breakfast was included in the hotel price and it was value for money - small but decent selection (no warm food though). Studio rooms are equipped with a small kitchenette and the rooms are spacious (by London standards). The studio rooms are located in a separate house and called Suites39 (we were not informed about this during the booking). Cleanliness was very poor, rooms and bathrooms in need of refurbishment. Shower door fell off when trying to close it - almost cut off the toes. Bedding and towels were worn off. Free wi-fi only worked for one day only out of five. Breakfast is served in Hotel43 so a walk through the street is required.

The location It wasn't that wonderful. I was quite challenged that there was construction all over the place, stuff blocking the entrance, etc... Although clean the breakfast place didn't fit all the guests and we had to stand around waiting until some left so we could eat. Wifi was okay some of the time, location was good so it was just sort of a place to crash at night... Nothing else.

1) Location convenience -- walking distance to Paddington Station with connection to airport express; 2) Dining and entertainment venues available at Queensway area; 3) Convenient but quiet; 4) FREE Wifi available at hotel! The Triple room was not as big as the description and photos on web.

Location is nice, close to Hyde Park and Queensway Tube station. The size of the room is good, considering you're in London. Free wifi internet works well in the room, which sadly is not true in all hotels. Maintenance of the room is not perfect, shower was broken amongst other small problems. I booked Hotel 43 but ended up in 39 Suites, a couple of doors away, although breakfast was in Hotel 43. No big deal but this should be made clear when you book.

The only thing I can say good about this hotel is that the staff let me and my girlfriend change room after a very bad experience on our first night in the hotel. Still this did not make up for the rest of our stay. Firstly as we arrived at the hotel we noticed it was situated next to a hostel/backpackers. Here there was large groups hanging around outside the hotel and making lots of noise. The staff were not helpful at all. We had 3 nights booked in total, our first night was in room 101 which I advise anyone staying here to stay well away from this room. It is situated at the top of the stairs where everyone must walk past to access their room, secondly there is no open window and makes the room feel very confined. Also there were air vents in the walls so we could hear a lot of noise from the hostel and other rooms. Finally pigeons woke us up at early hours as they were situated on the roof of room 101. In all fairness we were allowed to swap room and were put in 203 at the front of the hotel which was much better but still did not look anything like the pictures show. There were alot of water leaks around the hotel giving a damp smell. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone and feel this was way over priced. Iv stayed in hostels with better conditions.

Clean room and bathroom (new!), perfect location and excellent access to the tube. We traveled with our 6 year old daughter and Diana's Memorial Playground was right across the street. Very small room. Difficult to move around.

The bedroom was clean and quiet. The bathroom was new and also clean. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection although limited was quite good. The hotel represented good value taking London prices into account; and the location was excellent. While the bedroom was well heated there was a persistent draught from the single glazed window, which unfortunately affected the bed. Most probably not a problem in the summertime but locating the bed away from the window would help a lot.

In the bathroom (s3) neither the ventilation nor the hairdryer (s1 & S3)worked. In the kitchenette there was no overhead light and no sockets for the electrical appliances. The refrigerator was falling down literally. The rooms were clean and kept clean too. Breakfast was good and the attending girls very kind.
