Clean, well equipped, good location, quiet.
Too warm, No ventilation, 'plastic' mattress protectors - a real sign of poor guest appreciation.
They did contact someone about the broken tv and whilst I was out the next day it was replaced with a new one which was working when I got back to the room. V clean, well equipped room.
The tv in my room did not work when I arrived, I had to find someone to ask about it and urge them to contact someone else about it. I didn't have working tv for the 1st night of my stay.
Very comfortable hotel. Will definitely stay again.
Amazing location. Very nice light and airy flat.
Tiny bathroom but they had made the most of it. Awkward being on 1st floor with baby pram but we managed.
The kitchen and bathroom facilities were very good.
The bed, pillows and duvet cover were very uncomfortable. There was also a lot of noise in the communal areas which prevented me from sleeping. The temperature kept on going up and down, sometimes it was too hot and other times it was freezing. The tv kept on switching on by itself throughout the night.
Room 10 is 7 flights of stairs to the top which gets hotter by 1 degree every floor. There was literally no air in the room and it was like a Sauna. We asked for an extra fan but no one even bothered to answer us. Very uncomfortable stay.
What a bonus having a Dickens museum and cafe opposite. We used the cafe each day.
Lack of air con
The location, large rooms, facilities available.
Apartment a bit noisy because at street level. Needed a fan because it was so hot!
Location was great and the apartment was clean although bit small
Staff said they would come clean the room every 4 days. I stayed 9, they only came once and didn't vacuum the floor. Ventilation is poor for a place with no a/c. Staff was cold.
Very clean and modern. Would stay again. Good location.
Several flights of stairs to climb, no lift. Room was very warm as the window only opened slightly.
Extremely clean, great location, quiet, nice building and general upkeep
Minor things: could use hooks for towels in bathroom, screen on window so that one can open it more, and more prominent notification on website that this is top-story flat without lift
Very clean, modern and fully equipped Helpful staff (though not good at English). Lovely street just north of Gray's Inn, between the City and the West End.
Single room a bit small - no room for a bedside table. If you arrive late (ie after about 9 pm) you have to go to Cromwell Road to collect a key.
Beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean with quality toiletries. Very nice staff at reception.
Only provided Earl Grey tea, would have liked some English Breakfast. The 3o'clock entry,2 pm would have been preferable. A couple of slices of bread rather than the croissants.
Good location near the British Museum and across the road from Charles Dickens House. Clean, comfortable and secure with pretty much everything you need for an extended stay.
Bit of a walk from nearest tube Russell Square. Single studio was right at the top of the house and laundry in the basement so 7 flights of stairs. Blinds were inadequate and nothing on the kitchen window so sleep difficult when it is light at 4.30am. Only 1 tiny mirror in bathroom that was too high (only just got my shoulders in) and no full length. No socket in bathroom so using a hairdryer in the bedroom without a mirror is impossible. Shower head attached way too high to wall - water becomes little more than a dribble lower down and it took ages to rinse my hair.
Very bright and a good use of space. Good quality bedding and we were able to get access to the property prior to the check in time. Wifi access excellent.
Only one small mirror in the bathroom.
Location, staff and facilities
pretty much everything!
the windows were facing a busy street and the noise could be a bit problematic for some. Also it becomes difficult to open the blinds (people on the street can certainly look in!)
The Wi-Fi in the flat we were shown worked well when we were given access to it in order to sort out our dispute with the management. The management did agree to refund our money when we said we would not accept a flat which was not at Doughty Street (I insisted on e-mail confirmation of our refund before we exited the flat), and the money was repaid. Our interaction with staff and management was not pleasant, but not horrendous.
We were taken to a flat in Gray's Inn Road which was very hot and extremely noisy when we opened the window. We said this was not the flat in Doughty St which we had booked. Only then were we given the excuse that there was a plumbing problem in Doughty St. I doubt this excuse because I can see in 3 other reviews that people were also taken elsewhere. This is a company which advertises flats at the same location by the month, and has flats at various properties. It must be tempting to give monthly lets preference and shunt short stay tenants around. We took the gamble of refusing the flat and demanding our money back. We managed to find a room at the Imperial Hotel in Russell Square, but the management of these flats can probably rely on most travellers accepting a different location from the one they have booked.
Fantastic location as I attended a course on Hatton Gardens Rd.
The location is very good. Nice modern room although small it was fine for 3 nights but wouldn't of wanted to stay longer. The apartment had everything I needed.
The internet was way to slow impossible to watch YouTube, occasionally couldn't connect.
Room was clean and good size
The 7 flights of stairs to get to the room at the top The heat in the room, it was like walking into a sauna, and never cooled down even with the noisy fan on all night. And it's only June! Would not stay again for the above two reasons
Loved the space and the price
Didn't like that I had to arrange a meetup to get my key and there was no main office to just go to to check in- i was travelling internationally and had no phone or internet to contact them, i wish they had contacted me to let me know and plan before I arrived how the check in would work!
We ended up with a spacious apartment. Location was great. There was a mid-week cleaning (we were there for 7 nights).
When we arrived, we were told we were in a sister property around the corner. That seemed a bit sketchy... but it worked out well.
Friendly staff who abliged is with later check out. Good location.
One night a loud noise from upstairs room well into night .
Even though this is an apartment, breakfast was provided which is a very nice touch
you need to ring the company to get someone to open the door
