Nice staff, great breakfast,Big room, Very clean place. Bus in front of the hotel you can here what people behind the wall. Breakfast time should be extended. 8.30 to 9.30 is to short. You can't walk to the Hotel from City centre, too long distance |

the location was good but staying out back in a converted garage is not ideal.the staff were friendly and helpful but i wouldnt stay again the rooms given to us were in a converted garage out back , we were not attached to t house at all .even though t room was clean it was still away from t main house . we couldnt get a hot shower as the dial only went as far as warm and the shower cubicle was small. |

Friendly helpful staff, good breakfast. Bus stop and shop are very close to the hotel. The decor is a bit oldstyle. In the fisrt room we have got we found lots of dark long hairs on the bed covers. But after informing stuff we've been moved to another (bigger) room. |

Good location, helpful host and excellent breakfast. However the room we had was so small there was barely space to move around the bed! Perhaps these rooms should be advertised as such, so there are no surprises on arrival. We would not have booked it in a million years. We would return here if visiting Edinburgh again if there was a normal size room available. |

The helpfulness of the owner/staff. For a budget hotel, they missed nothing - anything you could possibly need was available including free internet. Excellent choice of breakfast. If anything only that the decor is a bit dated but you soon forget about that because you are so well looked after. |

Room we had was great value for money, we could have fitted a whole family in the gigantic super doubbel kingsize bed. The staff member we interacted with was extremely helpful and proffesional. Breakfast was great and we would be happy to come back next time we are in town. |

The full scottish breakfast was fantastic. Staff were very helpful, friendly and informative. There wasn't anything I didn't like . Just a comment though to say that the bathroom in the single room (room 7) was very tiny but adequate for a night or two . a "large" person might find it difficult as wc , washhand basin and shower cubicle are very close together. |

We were a party of 6 with 2 well behaved children and we had the lovliest visit in the A-Haven Townhouse Hotel. David greeted us and graciously took care of us throughout our stay . He even rewarded the children when we left, delighting all of us. A bit weary from our journey, we snacked and visited in the parlor for a while the afternoon we arrived. It was charming and relaxing. The breakfast was delicious and served on the sweetest set of china. The bus stop was very close and town just a 10 minute ride. The garden was lovely and welcoming; the parking was on site. We will recommend this hotel to our friends and will hope to return ourselves. Thank you, David. The bathrooms we're small, but that is somewhat standard in Europe. |
