The space in the flat and the locatiopnand the pool facilities
Not all bulbs working(only 2 out of 4 in the bathroom so quite dark) or batteries in the remote controls- we reported this first thing Monday morning but nothing was done about it. Place a little bit shabby in terms of blinds and cupboard doors broken. Disappointing as may influence whether we return there when we make future visits to our daughter who has just begun a 5 year course at the Uni
Location Cleanliness Facilities
Friendly, personal, staff. Security good, we felt very safe in a strange city. Spacious apartment, stylishly furnished. Great views from the balcony over the river.
Some of the furnishings were well worn and needed a bit of tlc. There was a whole cupboard door missing in the kitchen.
The view and good location
Noisy neighbours wasn't the cleanest
The convience of being able to come and go as we pleased
There isn't a place for you to check in. You have to call their main office and tell them that you have arrived so that someone can collect you. The second bathroom didn't have a shower-head. The water heater didn't work, and the water was ice-cold. The carpets were dirty. The service was terrible, and the staff were rude.
Location. Literally 5 mins walk to Cardiff Bay. Level of standard of apartment was very high too with very secure gate entry etc.
Very little not to like. 10 min walk to Cardiff City centre was OK during day but a little industrial at night. Only a £5 for a taxi so treat yourself.
Great location & good price
The apartment was clean and spacious and comfortable
The smoke detector went off at 6.30 in the morning and 3 hrs on we had still had nothing done about it, until we couldn't stand the noise anymore and left
Good alternative to hotels and some nice apartments do exist
Kitchen facilities very basic, good luck trying to cook a proper meal in it. Apartments are starting to feel worn out, stayed first time a year ago and since then very little work done to keep up standards so starting to feel a little shabby round the edges. No blackout curtains in the bedrooms
perfect choice for people, who do not need the hotel service and want to have more freedom. Nice and a lot of space!
Really picky here, but the rubber mattress on top of the bathroom sink could be renewed. Bed itself 140x200cm was ok for us, but some more inches wouldn´t have hurt.
Regrettably I didn't like anything.
- Was promised 'accessible car parking' (suitable for person with restricted mobility), but not given when we arrived. - Apartment too hot; bed and furniture uncomfortable. - Very noisy (people shouting outside) until early hours. - Found first night too distressing, so didn't stay for second (although pre-booked and paid).
Parking spaces - I was moved twice because people kept parking in my space. The room was a little bit tired decor wise.
Member of the staff his name is Matt, maybe was wery helpfull and so kind. He gave me so much useful and interesting information about Cardiff. We can sought more interesting thing beacuse he mentioned the possibility, recommended me a good traditional welsh restaurant. With his helping our holidaywas more perfect. Thank you for everything.
Great facilities Plenty of room.
Toaster needs repair No mirror in on suite.
Location Standard of equipment Furnishings Spacious Staff
space to spread out, free wifi (no time limits) view was good. kitchen facilities were good, modern and clean. most necessities provided; towels, washing up liquid, pots and pans, kitchen roll etc. did not have to worry someone else had access during the day.
no security chain on the front door, (but it double lock) could hear people through the front door. bed was a bit hard for me. paying extra for car parking space.
Myself & partner really enjoyed this idea of renting the flat for the 4 days that we stayed in Cardiff, the location was perfect to get into the city centre & also the mermaid quay, which is fantastic for any 'foodies' out there, & is only a 5 minute walk from the flat we were in. City centre was about 15 to 20 minutes walk, though there is a bus service outside the gates of the century wharf, which has a half hour service during the day that only takes 5 minutes to the centre & only cost £1 for the journey there. The flat contained everything we needed during our stay, from cooker & washing/dryer machine to iron & board, microwave oven & 46in plasma tv. The flat was on a timed under floor heating system which can be controlled by yourself if needed, but flat was always cozy & warm anyway. Very clean bathroom which had both bath & shower. Overall, we both liked what the flat had to offer & would definitely consider doing this kind of booking again if we ever go back to Cardiff.
My only gripe I would have to say is, being a smoker, when I booked for this place in 'space in the city', I wasn't asked if I did smoke, so every time I wanted a cigarette, I had to make my way downstairs as I wasn't allowed to smoke inside the flat. Next time I will request a balcony flat which allows me to smoke outside my own door rather than having to make my way to the lift & going outside for a cigarette.
everything you needed was there. had a lovely time.
no aircon, got slightly warm in summer.
This is one of the best place to stay in Cardiff
A spacious modern apartment in a great location. Very close to Techniquest and Mermaid Quay with all its amenities. Allocated parking. Better than a hotel room which would be cramped with small children. We will be using this again!
Missing or broken curtain hooks. Broken toaster (you had to hold the lever down to get it to work). These minor details can be corrected with minimum spend!
Lovely studio apartment with a balcony and a view over the river. Nice décor and very comfortable. Will definitely go for apartments rather than hotels from now on.
Tv was placed bad in terms of watching it in bed.
Location, size of apartment, felt like a home from home.
Unable to split the beds, as advertised on the website, as they were both only double beds & for 4 friends this was not ideal. Although there was a sofa bed in the apartment it was another £20 per day for bedding. We had no dinner plates & only 2 wine glasses so bought our own locally & left in them in the apartment for future guests. The apartment can sleep 6 & has 6 dining room chairs, so you would expect it to have the aforementioned items to the maximum capacity of the apartment. That said, it did not affect our stay & I would still recommend ASITC to friends.
