Greeted by name. Light, fluffy duvet. good choice of breakfast.
dilapidated shower room, very grubby. Hard mattress and flat pillows. TV screen at an unwatchable angle. parking requested but unsatisfactory. Complimentary coffee and milk were insufficient(no hot chocolate).
Location, room, breakfast, pleasant and happy staff, .
breakfast location of our room (away from main road) friendly staff average price had menus of local resturants/takeaways as we unfamiliar to the area
hard to find, and didnt know how to get to car park as its at the rear on main road so could be noisy i personally had a squeeky bed (quite annoying) wifi hit and miss
Good service, friendly staff, good food, comfortable room.
it was clean and comfortable
not as near the city centre as would have liked. traffic noise at front was fairly bad, even with the double glazing. Wi Fi did not appear to work.
Helpful staff, excellent breakfasts.
Hard to find car park, sound proofing not what it could be.
Very easily accessible from the main town by bus or walking. The bed was comfy. Breakfast was a full spread whicbb was great.
I could hear everyone upstairs moving and talking. That woke me up a few times.
food, friendly and helpful staff, room, en-suite
traffic noise - busy street
Very easy to book and check in. Location handy both for arriving from outside Bristol and for getting in to the centre in the evening. Hotel itself well signed at road side (but see cons). Good cooked breakfast included in the price.
Some decor a bit scuffed around the edges: this is evidently a hotel that concentrates on running rather than cosmetics. Some noise from room TVs in corridor, but not audible from other rooms. Hotel itself well signed from road, but not so much the back-road route to its parking.
The A4 hotel is ideally situated for visitng my family. The breakfast choices are superb and always well presented. The staff are friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. I don't bother to look elsewhere when visiting family because I feel 'at home' in the A4.
Some of the rooms require updating but everything works as it should. Although the first bed I slept in wasn't particularly comfortable, the others have been very good. As the hotel is situated on a busy road the traffic may disturb light sleepers but perhaps this can be avoided by booking a room to the rear.
The hotel was on a bus route to Bristol city centre and Bath. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast times were 7-9, good for me as I left the hotel by half 7. Wide range of food at breakfast.
There were hairs on both the toilet seat and in the shower, plus a wood louse in the bathroom in the evening, and another crawling across the bedroom floor in the morning. Wifi wasn't even detected in our room. Parking was on uneven road which seemed potentially damaging to cars. Cleaner walked in on my mum in our room at 10am the following morning when checkout wasn't until 11:30am.
The location, the breakfast.
Food was good, as was the hospitality
I had a single room, although the bed,en suite was clean, the carpet was dirty, cobwebs and spiders in the corners, and badly in need of a lick of paint
Friendly welcome, nice breakfast, comfortable bed. Well worth the money compared to other hotels in Bristol.
Recommendation of a local pub for evening meal/drink. Friendly and informative reception Excellent Breakfast
No shower gel/shampoo
Shower room was a touch on the small side, but this is a "tired" hotel. Everything was clean.
Wifi didn't reach room 3
dangerous shower and they new about it
It was ideal for me as a solo traveller for the one night stay and the breakfast was very nice too. Excellent value for money
Food was excellent.
bedrooms a bit hot (good in winter, not so good in summer).
right place, and a good breakfast, off street parking
Excellent cooked breakfast and friendly staff.
Room and bathroom were very small and close to the busy road. Car parking difficult to find at the rear of the hotel. The room furniture is a little dated, but ok for the price of the room.
very quiet, and friendly service,
no evening restaurant
