The location of the hotel is great. 10 min walk from Lime St Station and the city centre, so close to both cathedrals and Philharmonic Hall. The building is very quirky. I love staircases and narrow corridors in and old building. My room was very clean and comfy, fair enough it faced the main road and it was a bit noisy, but that didn't bother me. Staff were very friendly and helpful. No problems to leave my luggage in reception well after my check out time. Breakfast was great, can't fault it. Full variety, plenty to choose from and if you wanted more you just asked or helped yourself. I didn't use the bar but the prices showing were very (very) cheap! Will definitely try to book a room here next time in Liverpool. The only thing I would improve could be the toilets. It would be great if all of them were the same standard as the shower room. But that is only a cosmetic issue.

- The room was a "studio" as they called it with additional beds but enough space and a neat desk - great shower! - clear up to date television (so many places have dated small tv's with makeshift remotes) - very good breakfast, I observed a lot of effort to polish the butter dish et al after a diner left on each table. Well cooked breakfast. - excellent location - For the price I paid I dont think I have seen better value. Werent any dislikes of note that I couldnt fix by paying more!

- the staff are really friendly and very helpful; - breakfast is huge and delicious; - price was adequate -the shower was not very good -there was no place to put a soap next to the wash basin -there needs to be a bath mat outside the shower (I had to use one of teh unused towels)

great location. The staff were lovely and friendly especially Lynda and Pauline. Good breakfasts. Staircase a bit steep up to our room and a little noisy at night when we could hear toiltet flushing and water tank.

The closeness to the station and city centre. Failing to add the extra 4% charged on card to the final invoice. Shared showers not enough as I have had to wait over an hour for one while being reminded about the check out time. Very unprofessional approach.

The staff was very friendly and flexible with us. We had booked two rooms for 5 of us, but one of our friend cancelled last minute and they were able to accommodate us in one studio room. Also, they gave us tips where to go and in general really friendly stuff. You could hear the neighbours a bit, but that was not really bothering us.

Turned up at hotel and they said they had no confirmation of my booking and that hotel was fully booked! Eventually they were able to get me a room. I later discovered that this was achieved by turning another guest who had booked away!

My main reason for booking the Aachen Hotel was because it was cheap! We only needed to stay for two nights so wasn't to worried about having anything posh! But to our amazment the Hotel was lovely, great value for money, very clean. The beds were very comfy! But most of all the staff were fantastic. We needed to stay near lipa as my daughter had an audition there and the staff were very kind to her & made her feel at home. If she needed to return I would be happy for her to stay here by herself as it is close to the train station, city centre & lipa ( all within walking distance) Thankyou for making our stay a pleasent one x There is some noise from Students returnig from a night on the town! But this isn't the hotels fault! Overall no complaints.
