Aachen Hotel89-91 Mount Pleasant, City Centre, L3 5TB Liverpool (Show map) Very good, Score from 172 reviews“I liked the ownership. It is privately owned. We actually booked the wrong day (a day early). The owner only charged us half price for the night we actually stayed and even gave us an upgrade. Breakfast is served by servers.”

Modern facilities. Good location. Good value for money. I had to choose betweeen paying more with credit card or paying cash for the price I agreed with Booking... this shouldn't happen!

Its not a hotel..............its a glorified b and b! Very misleading! Be carefull when you book this......They add 4% to your bill if you use plastic to pay....We had used all our cash shopping and had this added to our bill.It is not on the website and is a little mean! Last breakfast served 9am.....No exceptions. Wont be staying here again!

The hotel is being redecorated & refurbished. It was clean & comfortable. We had lovely cooked breakfasts, and there was a choice of continental too. The staff were helpful, and we were able to leave our suitcases there for a few hours after we checked out & before catching the train. It is a 10 minute walk from Limestreet station, though up quite a long hill.It is about an easy 15min walk through town to the waterfront area. We had a room at the front of the building, and the green outside flood light was on til midnight or so, which made it hard to get to sleep as the window blinds (tho' modern & artistic) didn't darken the room as well as good curtains might have!

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and tidy, although the decor was a little dated. There was a good selection at breakfast and the dining room was comfortable. The location is perfect, less than 5 minutes walk to Lime Street Train Station. I would stay again in the future.

The staff are very nice. The room I stayed in look nothing like any of the rooms I had seen online before booking and my room (No 10) had no heating and was very cold all nice, also the tv was at a very silly angle so I had to put my neck in a funny way to see the tv. -

It has a great location, with easy access to main attractions in the city, as well as the university. I was given a very small room with a window that did not close completely, letting the cold wind into the room. I asked for a room change and they provided a more comfortable room, with sealed windows and more space. If you can, avoid room 5! You can hear all the noises from the corridor and the stairs are quite steep, so if your traveling with heavy bags it is not easy to reach the rooms in the higher floors.

Breakfast and breakfast staff were excellent I initially got a key for a room which already had someone inthe bed - this was somewhat unsettling.

Nice family type atmosphere with some of the oldest looking staff you'll ever see. Full English cooked and continental breakfast served by waiting staff which is rather unusual. Obviously converted from a large old Georgian house, and nice bathrooms with modern fittings. No nonsense tolerated as can be seen from a large photo of the Fawlty towers cast. Very unusual shaped rooms, and rather too many beds which is obviously intended for families. I dreamt there was a woman standing in the dark by my bed watching me sleep which was really unnerving! And I don't normally remember my dreams...
