Stayed 4 nights. Good value for money. Very clean. Nicely decorated triple room and beautifully decorated breakfast room (pre-Christmas). Good breakfast (full English). Free internet (WLAN) in rooms. Friendly owners; ordered us a taxi back to the station. Modern flat screen TV in room and also in breakfast room. Free parking, although limited (3-4 spaces). Close to the city centre (5-10 min on foot); however, if you arrive by train and have luggage, it is best to take a taxi (as the most direct way on foot takes you up and down a flight of stairs and through the Queensgate Shopping Centre). Bathroom: old-fashioned hot and cold water taps for sink and bathtub. "Power shower" only produced a faint trickle if you wanted reasonably hot water (it was December); owner admitted that it was probably due for replacement. Carpet in bathroom. No free toiletries in bathroom except small soap (no shower gel, shampoo). Old windows (single-glazed sash windows), which let in a lot of traffic noise from the road (Park Road can be a busy road).

Homely and small scale which I appreciated. Food was well prepared and tasty. Only small problem was the room was far to warm and window not easy to use. I ended up turning of the heating.

It was very clean, in fact spotless. I didn't feel it was value for money myself and my partner paid £80 for the room which was spottlessly clean but very sparse. We weren't made welcome by the staff, and a door was slammed on me because of 'my attitude' when I asked for some shower gel, bearing in mind the room rate I didn't think this was unreasonable and had assumed that this would be included at this price. I also don't feel this is the best way to deal with customers, I wasn't that rude that I deserved that reaction. We didn't stay for breakfast as I felt uncomfortable. They don't seem to be looking for repeat custom.

Easy to book, clear illustrations on web site. Convenient for our needs. Friendly and helpful staff. Good size room. Excellent breakfast. Local information available in rooms; internet access available, All TV channels available as stated and perfectly clear picture.........not always the case in hotels. Enjoyed our stay. Personal observation rather than dislike: 1. The room beautifully decorated, but we both dislike carpet in ensuite facilities, prefer tiled floors or wipe clean surfaces. 2. Parking available but limited.

convenient location with places to eat within walking distance, quiet room. Like another reviewer I too was given a room with no window - only a French window which luckily I noticed was not locked before I went to sleep. The room was not terribly clean. On the last evening I realised my bath towel had not been replaced. Parking not brilliant.

The intention was to have a short holiday taking in Peterborough Cathedral, Burghley House and the Nene Valley Railway. My husband was unable to go last minute and I changed the trip to 1 overnight stay and just went round Peterborough and Burghley House. The flower festival was on at the time and a craft fayre so I had an enjoyable day at Burghley House. The main reason for visiting this house was to see the Heaven room and Hell staircase which was shown on an Antique Roadshow tv programme. The hotel staff were very helpful, the bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the breakfast. The Hotel is quite near to bus and train facilities, a large shopping centre and Peterborough Cathedral. There is a tearoom at the hotel which opens in the afternoon.

We stayed at Aaron Park after the Key theatre performance and the night before we took the train to Newcastle for a few days holiday. Our room was on the top floor and was quite unexpectedly spacious and well appointed for a guesthouse with very reasonable rates. The owners were helpful and welcoming. Best to check the actual address if arriving by sat nav as you may be directed to the wrong street but in the right area. I mentioned this to the owners so they may point this out on their website

Lovely, well kept B&B. I had 6 very cosy and comfortable nights and would def go back if i returned to the area. The owners are such lovely people and obviously take pride in their place. Their breakfast is outstanding! My room was a little small, however it was still excellent and comfy. I booked a single room and that is what i got - i shouldn't complain but i can't remember the last time i stopped in a single bed!
