Loved this hotel. Nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful - location perfect for Royal Albert Hall! Would stay again!
Quiet room so able to sleep well. Bar and bar staff excellent. Good location.
Room needed some updating. Peeling wallpaper on bathroom wall. Cracked tile in bathroom. Chandelier heavy with dust. Breakfast overpriced so did not have it.
We used the Queens Gate hotel as we were visiting The Royal Albert Hall. The Hotel was 5 mins away so easy to stagger back to after the Concert. Walking distance to South Kensington Tube Station .
We stayed there because we were going to Royal Albert Hall. Great location only 5 minutes away. We had no meals there so can't comment but will definitely stay there again when we visit Albert Hall. Museums also only 5 minutes away.
Good location, very good british breakfast, free wifi (although need to re-login after a while), clean, my room (504) was OK (although other rooms - like 312 - provided to my coleagues were relatively small and not functional)
The breakfast is served in the basement - small common areas
great location, comfortable beds ,good breakfast (not enough for the price)
bathroom had mold, very poor amenities , very small rooms , very noisy , the bar closed on 18.00 pm on Sunday 23 November and they didn't served coffee.
It's location to the Albert Hall and tube stations. The staff were very knowledgable about the area
The price of breakfast which we didn't have. Everything else was fine
Reception staff were very helpful. Easy walking distance from Royal Albert Hall. Newly refurbished. Lots of choice for breakfast.
Room got very hot so had to keep putting air con on and then getting chilly. Bath edge high to get in.
Friendly efficient staff
Excellent location, friendly helpful staff, cleanliness and comfort of the room
Did not particularly like the use of the key card to operate the lights
i liked the location for where we were going i thought the bed was to high
I wasnt pleased when we had a evening meal work men kept coming in and out and we had to sit with our coats on it was very cold when the door kept opening
Location for Albert Hall. We has a quiet room at the back. Well appointed bathroom and bedroom.
Having lunch in the bar where building work meant it was draughty and noisy. There was no other seating area for quite a lot of guests. The food service was slow and a starter and main course arrived together.
5 minute walk from RAH. Plenty of restaurants within 10 minute walk of hotel. powerful shower.
Air con wasn't working very well in room, even though bed was very comfortable the room was way too warm for us even with the window open. Small rooms but we expected that from previous reviews... room size was ample enough for us.
We decided to eat in the hotel for convenience. The menu choice was ok and the restaurant looked very nice.
We had to wait a long time for a drink. The order for food was not written down and the wrong starter was brought. The wait for the food was quite long. My friend was offered the correct starter but declined as we were going to a concert and running out of time. The main course of lasagne was mediocre and over microwaved. The cost of the incorrect starter was knocked off the bill but the meal just wasn't worth the money. Very disappointing. We only just made it to the concert in time!
The staff were very friendly and the location of the hotel was good and the room was clean and well kept during my stay.
I was expecting more for the cost of the room as it was a lot smaller and not as good as I was expecting in comparison to hotels I have stayed at for a similar price. The food for room service and in one of the bars in the hotel was not good at all and I was unwell after eating it and when I go to London in the future I would not stay there again.
no steam on the mirror after a shower Position close to the Royal Albert Hall
Very pleasant hotel, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast.
Perfect location for Royal Albert Hall. Room decor was nice, bed comfortable. Good in room facilities. Free WiFi.
Ensuite was a little tired and was in need of some renovation.
perfect location for what we were doing, decent value - for London!
Can't think of anything - breafast perfectly adequate but not inspired!
Everything was exceptionally clean & bright. The staff were very helpful. We stayed there two nights and was ideal for us visiting the Royal Albert Hall for Concert,
Bare floors in bedrooms. Bathroom not designed for senior citizens. Bath very deep & difficult to get in & out.
Friendly reception, spacious bedroom with very comfortable enormous bed! Bar was nice and we had a very pleasant afternoon with a bottle of wine and sandwiches which were very good. The female bar staff were exceptional, very helpful.
One complaint only, on returning from the Albert Hall 6 of us stopped by the bar for a night cap and coffee, Carlos the bartender was excruciatingly slow, spent a long time on the phone arranging shifts and eventually brought our drinks one at a time, coffee was drunk before Tia Maria arrived, we did politely prompt him but he said he was busy on the phone! His attitude was entirely different to the rest of the staff we encountered and was a shame, he needs to be told.
Clean, good facilities - great location
We'd booked a double room but on arrival were given a twin. Asked for the swap and was advised that they could throw a large mattress over the 2 single beds to make 'one bed'!! Thougfh that was odd so asked for a 'proper' double room which we were then given.
So convenient for Harrods and Albert Hall. Very relaxed atmosphere. A very well run hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
We did not have breakfast in the hotel. The menu lacked choice and it was certainly well over-priced. This is a shame because if they could correct this problem I`m sure more people would use the breakfast facility.
