Large rooms, decent price good breakfast.
I need an invoice so I can claim my money back for my stay. I was told by two different members of staff that it couldn't be given to me on site and again on checkout was told it would be emailed to me that day. I'm still waiting. 0 stars for customer service. This really was/is the most basic request of a business.
Easy walk into town. £1.00 Bus ride back up the hill. Loads of Buses stop at the top of the Grange. The Hotel may be 2 star but perfect for a quiet weekend away. Staff always around or easy to contact
Nothing to comment on
Friendly welcome. Excellent value for money. Very good breakfast. Comfortable room and bed.
Excellent selection for breakfast, very comfortable room.very friendly staff.
Its at the top of a very steep hill, good if you like walking as we do.
Close to everything we required. The town was easy to walk to and from. The bus was handy if needed, and the 2 hotels for evening meals were good.I left my earings on the last day and Ian drove out to the airport with them, that was great. Thanks Jen
I thought the day I had poached eggs for breakfast and one of the eggs had no yolk was a bit odd! Maybe we just cook in a different way.
Our room was spacious and very comfortable. There was a variety of Breakfast options and the staff very helpful and polite. Our questions on how to get about were answered and helpful.
It was difficult to get a rapour with the breakfast staff as I feel they were young and a little on the shy side.
location near bus stops Breakfasts were delicious
Our first visit to Guernsey was certainly enhanced by our stay at this hotel. The owner was friendly, and went out of his way to help with any queries we had, including a query on which bus to catch from the airport before we even arrived. The rooms were very clean, with a spotless bathroom. Breakfast choice was varied, cooked to order, and of a high quality. The hotel is right on the bus route which will take you into town, to the other side of the island, or to the airport for the amazing price of £1 per journey (Sept 2014).
One small gripe - breakfast was served until 10.00, but on 3 out of 4 occasions the croissants etc. had disappeared by 9.00.
breakfast food. cleanliness
too far out of town
We had two very comfortable single rooms, the staff could not have been more helpful - there were a lot of extra touches to make our stay as easy and relaxing as possible. Delicious breakfasts and car parking as well as being close to bus stops. Highly recommended.
Room was nice and clean. Very comfy bed. Good choice of food at breakfast. Plenty of eating places nearby. Close to a bus stop where several routes pick up, so a good choice of destinations to choose from.
Nothing really to complain about. The bar could be better attended by staff in the evenings, but it did save me some money!
The room was of a good size and nicely decorated everything was in working order, with a large walk in shower. Breakfast was also good. Location suited where I wanted to be and parking was also available off road
Easy to miss hotel as it lies back from road at a junction
Choice at breakfast and service. Location good within walking distance of town. Helpful staff, nice garden and lounges.
Did not like open plan room. Did not like the ground floor room as you hear every footstep from the room above. There was also a damp problem in the room, wallpaper has mould growing on it near window and door.
Location just out of town centre. Breakfast was good with a good selection
bed wasn't comfortable. Poor welcome (no offer of local map, or directions into centre etc.) Staff didn't seem to be around. For the price I'd have expected far better.
Good bed, room a good size
No staff, had to keep calling a mobile number to get someone at reception. Waited for ages at the bar, got bored and went out.
Cleanliness Relaxed atmosphere Helpfulness of staff
Lack of tv channels available in bedroom and poor quality of picture, also remote control not the easiest to use as tended to stick a bit. Location of room meant street noise during night, specially early Wednesday morning.
Staff Cleanliness Good value and quality
The room was comfortable and a good size. The breakfast was nice and always served quickly. We were shown to our room straight away and were given a key to the front door so that we could come back as late as we liked.
The rooms were very clean and the bed very comfortable. There was a very relaxed atmosphere in the hotel
The location is excellent, well communicated and about 15 minutes walk to St Peter's Port. The beds are really comfortable and the place is very quite at night. Very good choice for breakfast. A very good experience.
My room was a single, small but comfortable and very clean. The only thing I didn't like is that the lower part of my window was fixed and with frosted glass. I wish I could have opened the window fully and had a view.
The location, the cleanliness and a good quality breakfast. A good supply of tea etc. in the room. A good television. Plentiful supply of hot water.
The frosted glass window in the bedroom, too short a curtain. The lack of welcome when I arrived, I was early and told quite clearly that I should have known that if I had read my paperwork, I had but I had a lift to the hotel that was too good to miss.
The room was light , a good size and very clean . The breakfast was excellent , really good choice of food and cooked well . Location good if you don't mind walking uphill to the hotel . Good exercise after the good food .
Close proximity to town, cleanliness, friendliness, good breakfast.
Dodgy window in our room,
Special thanks to Ian who helped me with bus routes and also drove me to the harbour on the day of my departure. Nice and clean rooms.
