Paddington Tube Station is just 325 ft from this elegant Victorian townhouse hotel. Located on a quiet garden square, Ashley London is also just a 5-minute walk from leafy Hyde Park.

This hotel features traditional Malaysian hospitality in the heart of London's bustling Bayswater area, less than half a mile from Hyde Park and Bayswater and Queensway London Underground (subway)...

Hotel Edward is a friendly 3-star hotel in Westminster, close to Paddington Station and Hyde Park. Rooms have private bathrooms and come with basic modern amenities.
Score from 2013 reviews Good
Paid £122 for the room and was tiny and there was a loud noise outside the window keeping us awake.
Good location, near to Paddington station. Friendly staff, spotlessly clean.Excellent value!
Location Friendly staff Cleanliness and general appearance, quality appointments etc. Availability of good breakfast.
Tiny room. Living in such a cramped area very difficult. No room for cases, etc. Lack of phone access for outside calls a BIG minus. Made my necessary visit to London VERY difficult. Unlikely to book again, unless this is rectified.
Woke up cold - no heating on early in morning. Asked for extra blanket which did not materialise following day
Room was cold shower was useless. Overpriced not worth the money
The staff were very friendly. Rooms were basic but very clean.
The breakfast buffet was quite bad. Overly greasy bacon, scrambled eggs, tomatoes and beans and sausages. I would've liked to have seen black pudding, hash browns and mushrooms. I was quite shocked that there was no toast.
DO NOT EXPECT TOAST AS THEY DO NOT HAVE SLICED BREAD, FIVE GUESTS ASKED INCLUDING MYSELF WHILE I WAS EATING BREAKFAST, ONLY ONE CHOICE OF EGGS SCRAMBLED, BACON SOLID AND SAUSAGES DRY NOT WORTH £7.50 BETTER OF GOING TO THE STATION FOR BREAKFAST
good value for money, great location
the walls are a bit too thin, could hear it more than well when someone was walking or talking in the corridor
Staff were great. Good comfort and clean room.
Room was very cold with draught from window. But as a listed building, it's to be expected.
The location : excellent for the trains n underground as it is located just minutes from Paddington Station. Halal eateries are abundant. Short walk to Hyde Park and through the park, a lovely 20 min walk to Marble Arch. Little Venice just around the corner with the canals n boats. Staff-helpful and friendly-a special mention for Pedro who went out of his way to help with some of our arrangements. The rooms: clean, comfortable and sufficient for our needs. Tip: when choosing a triple room go for room 419 as it had the bigger bathroom compared to the other triple rooms.
The hotel management dont respond to queries via email. The overall experience was surprisingly good considering their lack of communication skills which had had me worried in the week preceeding our stay. Towels-depending on luck you get a variety of quality-from clean n white to threadbare n greying. Just bring your own!
the man booking us in was very helpful. checked us in early because we had a young baby. very helpful with enquiries.
one pillow to sleep on was uncomfortable. was quite difficult to get the pushchair through the corridor we stayed on was very narrow. would be very difficult for disabled access.
Location is great, the room was nice although small (but for London was normal).
Staff not very welcoming and helpless. Quite disappointed with this because the hotel is nice. Wifi is just free when you book the room through the hotel website...
Liked how close hotel was to hyde park and all the shops and bars a round the hotel
We had the room next to the lift on the lower floor abit noisey but you expect that
Me and my best friend went on a girly trip to London for the weekend. The location of the hotel was fab 15min walk to Oxford street and Hyde park where the winter wonderland was on. Hotel was lovely great value for money. We arrived before check in and they let us leave are bags in the luggage room while we explored. Then the next day we were allowed to do the same even though check out was at 11 but are coach was not until 18.00. The hotel room was small but it had everything you needed the bed was comfy and the room was warm and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They even ordered us a taxi to the coach station at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend to friend or family and would stay again!!!!
Ideal location.I found the room to be of travelodge standard not even Premier Inn standard but very comfortable, nice hot shower and breakfast was good. We only needed a base for the night after visiting Winter Wonderland and shopping. Wouldn't have liked to pay full price.
The receptionist who checked us in was extremely rude. Whilst serving us and talking to us she answered the telephone at least FOUR times! With NO apology like 'excuse me I must answer this'. I find it extremely rude when staff answer phones whilst serving customers. She wasn't the only receptionist on duty at the time and the other receptionist was free to answer any calls. Also the only other thing was the size of the bathroom was tiny.
The location was good for us and it had a bed and tv.
The staff didn't really acknowledge us, we just did our on thing and the room was like a box!l with just enough leg room to get around the double bed
This hotel was very close to Paddington station. I was able to walk from the train to the hotel door in about five minutes. It is near to the metro station as well as the Heathrow express. It was actually quite lovely inside and I was greeted warmly. The room was neat and clean and the bed was quite comfortable. It was quiet in there were no disturbances in the night.
While traveling it is important to have good Wi-Fi connection. Here at the hotel, there were 15 minutes provided for free and the rest was paid. This really is not enough Wi-Fi service to be taken seriously.
The location was central and right around the block from a tube station and many food locations.
As soon as we entered the hotel it smelt like mold, the wifi was 4 pounds for a half hour. There was hair in the shower from a previous stay. We stayed in January which is when it gets cold and the hotel did not turn on the heaters until 5am nor did they offer a small space heater. We had to call down to the lobby twice to request a heater. Not my favorite experience of London.
ONLY 15min of free wifi including public area for my 4 nights stay including public area. Hotels in Amsterdam, Brussels and Cardiff provided free wifi.
Central location, good transport links
Near Paddington station
Wi-Fi at 5 pounds sterling / hour when it is free in McDonalds and most pubs is a rip off. Breakfast was cold as well, even when we went down 10 mins early and received a ticking off from a surly kitchen hand, while the breakfast was sitting out already, not happy.
Room was nice and clean
We were offered a slightly reduced rate for a cooked breakfast if we paid when we checked in. We took advantage of this however there was a staff member who insisted we were not on the list to have a breakfast and she said we hadn't paid! luckily we kept the receipt, my husband had to go and get it from our room to prove we had paid. Bad management as it was embarrassing as this was in front of people who were trying to enjoy their breakfast. The room was fantastic value but the staff need some training on looking after their guests, ie politeness and efficiency.
Location. A lot of good restaurants nearby.
Generally feels old and stale beyond reception area. Bathroom like a cupboard - very difficult to fit in the shower to wash my hair. Staff walk into room when sleeping - there aren't any 'don't disturb signs'. Only 15 minutes of wi-fi free per stay (not per day).
The staffs were nice, friendly & helpful as it should be in which some hotel lacked sadly. We also liked the location & surrounding areas with easy access to the park & other places via the underground which located near by. The room were nice & clean & we specially like the security of the place, making us feel safe. In all we would come back & stay there again without any hesitation :)
Toilet & shower is very small but at least was nice & clean but not recommend for large people. Would have been better if the wifi was free in all areas as so many places are now doing.
Staff, location is fantastic, 4 tube stops into central london
Room was a but small and illequipped for the money. Wifi should be free
