Location excellent, great for all exploring, breakfast was very nice, entrance and lobby very glam
5th floor not as well presented as the lovely lobby and entrance hall, very small and basic but more than adequate would definitely come again when in the big smoke, very good value. Slight hitch with payment of breakfast night before not recorded anywhere but soon resolved.
Close to the station and Hyde park
The staff were rude, we asked for fresh milk and then told we had to go down to reception to get some. Then were told we had to go to the shop and buy some! We also asked for an iron and ironing board to our room again where told to come down to reception and pointed to the direction it was In which where there was one iron and ironing board which we were expected to do down there! We were also put in a tiny box room where you could just about move with only a shower toilet and bed also right next to the lift which kept us awake all night and morning! for a 3 star hotel in London I think is disgusting! I work in a three star hotel myself and the difference in service is completely different and I would never again stay at this hotel my 5 year old niece has better manners than half of these staff members and would probably be able to run this far more better than you run this establishment.
Perfect small room for a weekend break in London, most of the day we were out. Great location with a corner shop and restaurants very near. 5 minute walk to Hyde park, 3 minute walk to Paddington.
Cleaner woke us up early on the day we were checking out, and then came back later and woke us up again. They should have see we were checking out that day so no need for a maid that morning.
friendly staff good location value for money
Good location and nice staff. High standards of cleanliness.
The noise was very poor. Was in room 401. We was near a linen/wash room and could hear staff all the time. At half 6 am, two staff were throwing down linen sheets making lots of thuds right outside our window. Also housekeeper knocked on our door and went to come in at 7:30 am. We were still asleep. Very disrupted all morning. Perhaps higher up would have been better.
The room we were put in was next to the elevator and the stairs to the road, which meant hearing loud bangs from the cleaners dropping laundry bags and also the noise of the elevator, can't fault anything else though as we only stayed one night at a room only deal
Very Rude receptionist.

Special deal of room for £79:00 was a great price for two people. The room was clean, bed so comfy in fact best night sleep I ever had in any hotel I have stayed. TV, Tea and coffee available in room. Plenty of hot water and clean towels. Great over night stay stay after battling our way through busy street Christmas shopping. If we get the same deal then we will definitely stay there again. Thanks.
Only down side with this hotel, our room number 73, is that the shower room/loo was very small especially when maneuvering yourself to sit on the loo, elbows touching the wall either side. Having said that I doesn't put me off wanting to stay there again. I look forward to it.
Lovely looking hotel. Rooms were clean. Easy to find from station. Would stay here again. Travel cot available for babies.
The room we had was quite small, as we had to fit a travel cot in aswell.
Unsure of why there is so many bad reviews; my partner and I found this hotel to be well worth the money considering the cost per night. Size of room was great with plenty of space for a travel cot and even a couch opposite. En suite.Bed was adequate enough for a decent night sleep. Room was clean and tidy. Staff were pleasant and helpful and hotel is in a great spot. We would definitely stop again.
I stayed for one night as a last minute arrangement. The hotel had 40% off which is why I booked it. Easy to get to from Paddington. It was a basic 3 star hotel and at the price I paid I was happy. I wouldn't have been so happy if I'd paid the full price as the room was very basic. It was clean and the shower room was nicely clean- looked as though it had been recently refurbished. I had breakfast at a small Italian cafe on the road back towards Paddington station (literally around the corner from the hotel). It opened at 7am and was the full English was very nice at £4.50.
No problems at £60 a night.
The room was clean.
The bed was uncomfortable, the room was too small for the price of it. We paid God breakfast at check in but they didn't communicate it to the staff at the restaurant so I had to argue and prove that I had paid for it.
Comfortable, great location close to Paddington station & underground and London sights
Confusing address on the website as part of a bigger hotel block so we couldn't find it initially. Breakfast kept warm in bay marries unfortunately cold
The location of this hotel was fantastic, right near Hyde Park for Winter Wonderland and right near a tube station. The gentleman on reception, i'm sorry but I can't remember his name was so helpful, we were put into a room that was very small and being claustrophobic I just couldn't stay in there, he gave me 2 other rooms to look at and for a small fee was able to change it for me immediately. We didn't eat in the restaurant but did have breakfast the next morning, it wasn't anything amazing but ok none the less. An enjoyable stay, thank you.
This hotel does what it says on the tin, rooms are small but to be expected but lovely and clean. Hotel is in ideal location, staff are great exactly what you want. Lancaster gate tube station is 5 mins away and is 2 stops away from oxford circus! Thanks for a fab stay
Perfect location for Hyde park and really close to the tube.....
Only bad thing I could say is the rooms are very close to each other and corridors small but the hotel was great value for the money and we would return
room, quite, location
Wonderful friendly staff
This hotel was in a great location for our needs. So close to Paddington station plus other tube stops and Hyde Park etc. I read mixed reviews at time of booking but kept an open mind. But then read some bad ones in the days leading up to checking in. I was pleasantly surprised - the room was clean and had everything you would require for a short stay. Other people said it was small - a little, but how much room do you want when you just want space to put your head down and have a wash. For the money we paid this hotel is ideal and I would stay again
Some of the electrics did not work ie sockets lights kettle
*Location. *Easy to find. *Comfy bed. *Clean bathroom.
*Constant rattling noise from the heating. I'm a very light sleeper. *Hot tap in the sink didn't work at all. *Quite a small room, although this wasn't much of an issue.
Location is ok, relatively clean.
Most of the staff is rude, inflexible and slow. Beware do not accept rooms underground. Too small and noisy and with no cellphone signal. No free wi-fi ! For God say its 2014!
the hotel was within walking distance of the tube and to the park and onto Trafalgar square. staff were friendly and helpful at the reception and gave us maps of how to get to places. we were lucky to get a room for November 11th and at a special price. plenty of towels in the shower and shower jell.
the room was a bit small and had no easy chair. the only way to keep the window open was to put the dustbin under the window or push the lower part of the window up to the upper window and it stayed, but was very wide open.would have been nice to have had more choice of what to have for the evening meal.
