Hotel looks nice on the outside and reception area.
Room was very compact and bathroom was even smaller.glad we was only staying one night.
Extremely bad smell in bathroom, which itself was too small Rooms were also extremely small.. we had a triple room and could barely move while packing
Location, block away from PADDINGTON station Service Room, although small very functional Very safe Near everything
Perfect location for exploring London. Great price (off-season). Clean. Good beds. Helpful, friendly and chatty staff. We booked the wrong room type (separate beds) but this was promptly resolved at arrival. Comfort could certainly be better but I'd return based on price and location. Maybe less suitable if you're a bit older and need a bit more comfort.
- I'm about 6 feet. Sink in bathroom was super, super low and had push buttons for water at both sides, couldn't even wash my face at the sink if I had been able to reach it. - Shower head height was fixed so I had to shower in a weird position. - View out the window was a brick wall. - Hotel is starting to show age.
Walking distance to Oxford St and Paddington Station
Room was dated and tiny. Clearly some rooms are better than others, with thosecheapest being the bottom of the pile (although the photos shown are those of other rooms) We wouldn't stay there again, simply because for 40 pounds more we can get a better room which would make our holiday more enjoyable.
The location was good.
The bedroom was tiny and I have never seen such a small shower room. We had to dry ourselves in the bedroom as the shower room was too small. The stairs getting to the room were very hazardous, if one had small children or had been drinking then it could be very dangerous. I am surprised the council ever passed planning on the rooms and corridors.
Staff were very helpful and were always able to answer our questions. The location suited us well with Paddington Station and Hyde Park 2 minutes walk away. The rooms are small, but as we were busy each day and only slept there this did not affect us. A good number of reasonably priced eateries nearby. The Brazillian restaurant attached to the hotel is definitely worth a visit!
No access to the Internet without paying extra was a nuisance at times. I have paid lower room rates in other European hotels and had free wifi included with the room rate.
The location was excellent, the room was tidy and spacy. We especially appreciated the continental socket in the room!
The room was a bit too warm, but there were no noise even when we had to sleep with the window open.
Lovely clean Hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.
Trying to find my room was a maze.
We loved the location close to Paddington and Lancaster Underground. A pleasant walking distance to Hyde Park and Oxford St. Concierge very helpful . Small room but good value . Quaint.
Pillows were flat and bed not that comfortable.
Room was very clean
Excellent location near paddington and central line
Room smelled of mold and carpet is very tired looking
I love the location its my third year to visit the hotel last two years were fine but i dont know if i would go back again i asked to upgrade the room because i thought it was very small for three people but i dont think anyone was listening
I didnt like the fact that we are an elderly couple put up on the third floor with a broken lift.
The location was good.
The lift did not work. The layout of the rooms was like a rabbit warren.
location was excellent as was transport links, shops, restaurants.
room wasn't as pictures depicted, very cramped as my wife smashed her legs several times just trying to get round the bed !!! other than being put in the basement & being fobbed off when I requested another room our stay here was just about adequate.
Location was good, situated between two tube stations.Staff were helpful and friendly. It was convenient to be able to purchase a breakfast if required
We had booked a ' compact double ' room as we had also stayed here earlier in the year and our room was adequate, however the room we were allocated this time was VERY inadequate ! barely enough room to walk around the bed...no dressing table or chair so nowhere to sit to do hair and make-up etc....no bedside cabinets,no drawers,no shower curtain ! We complained to reception staff who eventually offered us an alternative compact double which was better but not brilliant.Comfy bed though ! And we would stay here again.
Asked for 2 singles and one double bed, got 2 doubles. Bathroom was tiny and no lock on the door. Got told our bags would be removed from the store after 12 hour (we were out for 11 hours luckily).
the good nights sleep
nothing. it was all good
Don't have the breakfast. Overpriced cold and no fried eggs. If you want a good breakfast there is a small Italian place two minutes around the corner. Excellent food and much better priced. Rooms are small too.
The room - it was stuffy & small with inadequate ventilation. Aside from concern re security with window open there was an air conditioner immediately outside which excluded opening window. Website did not make indicate standard of room, i.e. basement.
No free internet Very small rooms Dirty towels Babybed very bad No minibar Policy about leaving objects in the room Staff not very useful in general Quality/price is nonsense too unconfortable for a 4 members family
Bedroom small and cramped
This hotel was just what I expected after reading the reviews. The location is great as it is just 2 blocks from Paddington Station. The lobby was quite nice. The single room was tiny, but it had everything I needed - hot water kettle, hairdryer, TV, hanging space, comfy bed with duvet. Had one of the smallest bathrooms I've seen, but was totally functional. Not a place to stay if you want to hang out in your hotel room for hours, but who would want to do that in London??
It was a bit of a maze to get to the room, then up a narrow staircase, so I'm glad I didn't have much luggage.
Surprised at how smart the reception was. Bedroom clean and shower room small but adequate. Would stay again for the price
The location. Very close to Paddington station.
They only give you 15mins free wifi and then you need to pay 10 pound to have access for a day. The shower was super small. The room was very small also. Our TV didn't work at all for our stay and the staff didn't seem to care. Basically told us there was nothing they could do. The hotel is lovely from the front but the rooms were dated and too small a size. We could hardly fit our luggage in the room. Wouldn't recommend staying here as a couple. The room would only be adequate for a single traveller.
