Very quiet room and good food.
Not being able to check-in until 19.00! Room had not been properly cleaned from previous occupant - their stationary, water bottle and dirty toilet.
stairs up to first floor-not welcoming!!
Easy to find in a good location - some rooms have a superb view over the city. Very good breakfasts in a comfortable dining room. Comfortable bar too.
We have stayed here twice. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable but the second room had beds that were very high off the floor and difficult to get into if you happen to be short or disabled in any way. Worth checking when booking.
Staff were very helpful. Meals, both evening meal and breakfast were delicious (we are both vegetarians). The location is perfect for MK... Straight off the motorway then minutes into town in the morning. Spot on.
Not much not to like...
the hotel was lovely modern clean and staff were very helpful.
The shower head was broken, no sky TV and wifi very slow.
Very helpful staff in reception. Prompt service at the bar.Very attentive staff at both dinner and beakfast-particularly Bowhla-head waiter.Food at both meals very good
The hotel facilities are good but the excellent staff make it a pleasure to stay here. Reception, bar staff and restaurant staff all went out of their way to be really helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Rooms really clean, good decoration really modern, nice bathroom
The staff were very friendly and helpful
Nothing to be honest
Location Friendly staff on reception Large rooms
Limited breakfast Staff at breakfast had poor english
Although my partner and I had a very short stay at the Mercure Milton Keynes Abey Hill Hotel. When we did arrive we were pleasantly surprised with the look of the hotel and location. We were expecting an old fashioned out of date hotel, what we found was a hotel keeping up with modern times and in a nice quiet location. Upon booking in we were told of the hotels facilities and all what the hotel offered. When entering our room the air con was already on. Which was nice as we had an extremely long drive and it was a humid day. The room itself was clean and tidy as you would exspect, everything was laid out nicely and bed had nice clean crisp sheets. When booking out the receptionist was curtious and polite as expected. Was a shame it was only for a short stay. Will difinatly return. T.B.
Liked the variety of options given at breakfast time and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel is slightly remote and you need a car to be able to do anything, there are no local shops. The room was also different to how it was advertised during booking.
We were so impressed with the initial look of the room when we walked in and were not disappointed the next day. Comfortable bed, clean and powerful shower, very helpful and professional staff, excellent breakfast (especially as included in room cost) - overall very happy!
Only thing I can dislike is the look of the hotel from the outside - however this is not an important factor for us!
The staff, the location and facilities are excellent and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, except for the food.
I have stayed in this hotel now twice in a 7 day period. On my first visit I ate in the restaurant and whilst the staff were great (except the manager, who was very poor) but the food was appauling for the cost. On my last visit I ate in the bar and to my horror the food is even worse. All I wanted was a quick Pizza, something simple that nobody can screw up. Sadly not, £11 for a frozen ready made pizza base, thickly covered in Tomato Puree, a fine sprinkling of cheese and the odd peice of Pepperoni is not value for money and to top it all, it was cold. This hotel and the staff is excellent, however the food side is very poorly managed and could do with a radical shake-up.
The rooms very modern loved the under floor heating great night sleep
room service was £5 tray charge breakfast was very expensive no large glasses for a drink shower very temperamental
Parking on site Nice room, bar and outdoor area Good location and only a £5 taxi ride from the MK shopping centre On the whole, staff were friendly and obliging. Reception good and we did witness one of the receptionists having to deal with an awkward client which she did very professionally
On arrival on the first night, we stood at the bar for a few minutes without even being acknowledged and had to make a point of asking to be served. We'd driven for 4 hours and it wasn't very nice to be ignored whilst staff were talking amongst themselves .. It looked as if they'd had a problem of some sort. On our last night we ate again in the restaurant which was more or less empty. The waitress who was lovely, apologised for the delay in the food order. When it did arrive my husband's steak was absolutely awful, it was all fat. He never complains but sent it back and went without. How on earth that cut of steak had been allowed to be bought let alone cooked in this restaurant, or any for that matter was beyond us. The same happened to the person on the table next to us. Needless to say, we were not charged the £19 !! The waitress was very apologetic, it was of course not her fault.
One of the best hotels I've ever been. Yummy English breakfast
Everthing was awesome. Nothing to declare
