Abbey Hotel  

Great location, go outside and cross the road, you will be at Westfield, convenient for shopping.

The Wifi went down and unable to find somebody to fix it, brought me inconvenience when I needed Internet access

Stayed at the Abbey Hotel Sept 2011. The only hotel I have ever stayed at that did not have tea and coffee facilities (manager used current renovations as excuse - go figure). TV did not work, pillows were more like sacks, and the bathroom was closet like although new, and the phone could not be used to access outside lines (despite this listed as a feature along with tea/coffee facilities. Staff were friendly although more out of apology than anything. Hotel should be renamed "Shabby Hotel" Definitely not of three star standard as reputed. Disapointing.

Unfortunately nothing much. The staff seemed ok but only saw them for 2 minutes.

Didnt like the rubble at front of hotel. The fact that all they were intrested in was the money. Didnt want to take a credit card asked for cash for room before we'd seen it. No customer service. Not a hotel or b & b just a crash pad for a night dont have any expectations. Booked it because minutes from o2 . saw concert came back sleot in clothes. Drilling and building noise started at 8am. They are building and extension out the back. The window in room didnt close handle broken left on cill quite dangerous as window open wide and there was a sheer drop to ground - not suitable for children. It was grubby and couldnt wait to leave the next morning. If you're going to a concert and need to stay overnight go somewhere else wish I did.

Value for money and location

Hard pillows and very squeaky bed. Decor needs updating.

Very basic. Only virtue was price. Damaged decor. Only one thin pillow on bed. Very cramped bathroom.

The only reason I would stay at this hotel again is because it is close to the bbc studios I found that not having any Tea or coffee making facility in the room very upsetting I would give this hotel 0 out of 10.Plus one other thing that it was a cold December day and no heating was and with a window which Would not close didn't make it any better but owing to the fact I was there for only one night I did not mentioning anything to the proprietor

The Location

Beds are not comfortable; pillows were uncomfortable; shower was not user friendly; no breakfast services; very small and difficult to manoeuvre large luggage.

Price and comfort of the mattress

Well it is situated near a big shopping center Westfield , there are 2 station nearby . The room in which I stayed had a wc and shower . Access to the internet was good =)

The room was small , dirty and not ready for a new guest . Everything seems to be dirty there . Is a family business and they really do not care about their guests . I did not have breakfast. And now they fix something there so the whole day there is a great noise and dust . Next time I'll find a short term studio or something like this because the hotels for this prices are very degraded . I felt lonely and sad there .

If your stuck for diggs and need a place for 1 night it's ok to slum it for 1 night

No car park but the owner took us on a 40 minute round trip to find a space then we ended up parking at the shopping centre costing £18 till the morning. The room was old and dated, not worth the money.when we turned up the place was a building site and we hoped we had the wrong place.. Complete disaster.
