Really nice place setting within residential area of High Wycombe, 5 minute walk to the station and just abit further down into town. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was spot on and thankfully a little bit later with it being the weekend ! The only problem with the Abbey Lodge is the setting, it's up the hill from town, which didn't bother us too much (just abit out of breathe by the top of the hill !) so I'd advise being lazy and get a taxi !

Clean and functional room. Comfortable bed and decent shower. Delivered everything a good budget hotel should Poor breakfast, only bacon & mushrooms available and when I asked if empty containers were going to be re-filled I received an abrupt "yes, soon". As nothing appeared for another 10 minutes I did not have time to wait

The breakfast was on time and well cooked with plenty of choice and good service. I found the hotel to be tired in it,s decor. I was not aware that the hotel caters for contractors of which were quite a few during my stay, the main issue with this was parking space availability, it was difficult to park as the car park was normally full of white vans.

We could park there for the weekend. We were there to see our son at Uni and we have to find a good Parking Area. We booked out at 11.00am and they very kindly let us leave or car in the Car Park the rest of the day until we left. Very good value for money. Staff very freindly.

The staff were lovely and I was even allowed to keep my car in the car park after I had checked out so I didnt have to pay for parking along the road. The bed was great I booked a single room but the bed was actually a small double with good quality bedding. The location was the best you could get for shopping in high wycombe. It was also only a short drive from marlow which is a stunning town. The room was also a reasonable size. The heated towel rail in the bathroom was a bonus. I didnt have breakfast as I don't like it early and they stop breakfast at 9 which I suppose is normal for most places but doesnt suit me.There was tea stains on the wall which could of easily been wiped off. The shower doors didnt shut properly so the bathroom floor gets really wet. The towels were horrible and rough luckily I brought my own.

I have used the abbey lodge on a number of occasions. The staff are always helpful and friendly. There is a family friendly atmosphere. The breakfast is very good and you can eat your fill, whilst the staff make you a pot if tea. Although the deco is slightly out-dated the rooms are very clean. The rooms have everything you need including a hair dryer and kettle. Overall I enjoy my stay everytime and will probably return to stay at the abbey lodge again The only downside to the abbey lodge is that it is located on a very steep hill, for older traveller I would recommand you get a taxi up from the town. Other then that the abbey lodge is great

The room was very Clean with some thought put in for the traveler. Very clean linen and towels (which are a must, and I have walked out of hotels before because of poor cleanliness!) a built in Ironing board and iron were very useful and the power shower was very refreshing. the full English, help yourself breakfast was lovely and the girls on hand were very pleasant with their pots of tea. Having a car park at the rear was reassuring, knowing that I didn't have to park on the street and although I didn't have my laptop with me on this occasion, I did see some netgear, so I presume there was WiFi in there as well. I will definitely be staying here again.

Standard Business hotel facilities The management allowed locally resident young people to rent a room late of an evening, and sadly it was the next room to mine;the hotel being effectively empty, it being a Saturday. The hotel has several easily- accessed fire escapes, excellent of itself, but that night allowing more young people than those that booked in, to come and go without passing reception. The room booked for 2 was occupied by 3 or four young people who proceeded to enjoy activities of the sort that their mothers would surely not allow at home, or in their country of origin, and this was going on at 2 and 3 in the morning. I put up with the loud moans and sighs, as this happens in all hotels, but then a very noisy shouting match followed, using a lot of 4 letter words. Mostly the girls were screaming at the boys. Even when politely asked by the porter (and myself coming from my room) on three occassions to be quiet, the fight carried on and also went on in the car park outside my window. Between 4 and 5 there was much loud crying in the room and long loud telephone calls. The management should realise that it risks its hotel being used in this way, and getting a bad reputation, locally and nationally, and to train its staff properly to prevent it. The night porter should be trained not to take bookings late at night from local High Wycombe residents, as he must realise that people reacting to their own culture that frowns on extra marital sex will make use of any opportunity, not least in his hotel. Others may shout and scream, and kick over the traces as much as they like, but not please when and next door to where I have paid for a night's sleep! This experience was significantly worse than the late night African prayer meeting (with songs) that I once had to listen to.
