The welcome was warm and genuine and there was a pleasant family atmosphere throughout. The home-made cooking was excellent. |

Very comfortable, clean, high quality food and friendly staff. Watch the ground clearance of your car at the entrance, otherwise a perfect break. |

Paid for a single but given a double sized room. Quiet, comfortable digs, handy for the town centre. As mentioned by other reviewers, the shower power needs improving. |

the restuarant was not open even though the menu was in the bedroom and the hours of opening displayed . Also the bathroom was on a different level to the bedroom , and because there was no door on the bathroom only a curtain there was a certain lack of privacy |

Very pleasant owners (Else & Finn) and staff made guests feel very welcome. They could certainly teach other hotels I have stayed at something about customer service. The showere was weak. A minor point I know, but it could do with a shower pump. |

Very comfortable and clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location for visiting nearby Chatsworth and Hardwick. Would definitely stay at Abbeydale again and would recommend it to friends and family. |

All of it. The room was comfortable very clean and quiet. The food was excellent both tasty and well presented. The parking was good too, close to the door, which is helpful if you have a mobility issue. No. I would only say that the hotel is on a one way street which made us think we were lost!.Trust Sat Nav or route finder and it will be ok |

We were made welcome and the breakfast was well cooked and served. The evening meal was of a very high standard. The room was very hot in spite of opening the window and the room radiator being off. There was heat gain from somewhere. Beds are always a problem, there seems to be no happy medium in terms of size and comfort |

Most everything. The hotel is beautiful, staff so helpful and friendly and the food was lovely. Bathroom a bit small, but lovely fluffy white towels. TV too high up on the wall, and the shelf that the radio/clock was on was so high above the bed you could not see it lying down. Small things but................. |

I organised my parents to saty at this hotel for the weekend as a present. The owners could not have been more helpful, even sending me a brochure of the hotel to show my parents prior the their visit. It was ideal for their needs, and they were most impressed with being given their own key to come and go as they pleased. The only suggestion would be to expand the portion of a vegetarian breakfast to equal the quantity given for the full breakfast. |
