Located in a quiet, tree-lined street with free car parking and free Wi-Fi, Abbeyfields is just 500 metres from York Minster. The boutique shops of historic Stonegate and the cobbled delights of The Shambles are only 10 minutes’ walk through the Museum Gardens. With fresh flowers and original, large, sash windows, each light and airy room also has a private bathroom with shower. All rooms feature a work desk, reading chair, TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Ironing and laundry services are also available. Abbeyfields Guest House’s award-winning breakfast, with freshly-baked, homemade breads, is served in a Victorian dining room, which features a large bay window and original fireplace. Breakfast was Excellent without a shadow of a light the best B&B breakfast we have ever had. Hosts were also attentive, they clearly put a lot if effort and care in making certain guests have a great stay. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting York

We liked everything about Abbeyfields Guest House! Les and Al were very welcoming and full of suggestions about where to eat and places to see.The breakfasts were first class,beds very comfortable and everything was spotless!

Wonderfully warm welcome and lots of help re restaurants and things to see. Breakfast was brilliant - especially enjoyed the fresh, home-made bread. All in all a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Only having booked one night!

extremely friendly staff. room beautifully clean. location perfect - 5 minutes from centre. fresh bread based for breakfast - smell drifting up to room simply adorable! breakfast extremely tasty. bit of pipe noise from the water being used - only occassionally though

Close to all the attractions of the city centre and the station, yet very peaceful. Excellent accommodation, welcoming and friendly hosts and a delicious breakfast. I hope we return one day!

Beautiful old house, very nicely decorated. Excelllent breakfast with homemade bread etc. Very friendly staff. Parking right outside the Guesthouse. 5 mins walk from city centre. Really informative handwritten information folder in room about the history of York and places to eat and drink.

Al and Les, the owners were extremely helpful and pleasant. The room was spotless, television had a lovely picture. Tea and coffee in the room with lovely biscuits, they also had bottles of water which was very much appreciated. The breakfast was beautiful. Would recommend this guest house to anyone. Everything was perfect!
