The location is superb, the bar in the evening was busy and friendly, I would certainly stay again, but perhaps not in the basement room. |

The bar and sitting area was lovely and a perfect place to meet our traveling partners, have a drink and relax. The room was hot, so we were happy to be able to adjust the heat and air cooling! Not the hotel's fault but the bar next door was very noisy. The staff advised they were monitoring the situation, and hopeful it would improve. |

Extremely central and convenient for shopping, restaurants etc. Room clean and comfortable, with good facilities. Staff helpful - e.g. providing a jug of fresh milk when requested to replace the "plastic" milk in the room, and looking after our bags for us on the last day. No parking - although there was (an expensive) one nearby. Noisy outside at night - which I guess is the price one pays for a central position. Expensive for what it is - but this is true of most English hotels. Bit bland and characterless, like most large chain hotels, lacking personal touches. |

It was well located to see Bath but expensive for the type of hotel, car parking was a walk away and dropping cases off was difficult |

The abbey hotel was in the heart of the city. Unfortunitly the decoration in our room (only) was in need of some TLC. |

Central and convenient location to visit Bath There is a pub directly opposite the room we stayed in which was playing loud music until 2am. This made it impossible to sleep. I would never return there because of this. |

City centre location, large airy rooms but could be a little noisy as a result The first room we were offered smelled, appeared damp and and was in the basement. Second room upstairs was much better. |

The hotel benefits from an excellent central location, very near to the major tourist attractions and also convenient for pubs and restaurants. It is also situated in a period building and so gives the traveller a flavour of Bath itself. The staff were friendly and efficient and the hotel is reasonably priced. My only complaint would be that there was outside noise from about 6am onwards, both from machine plant and deliveries / waste collection. I needed to open my window slightly as I found the room a bit too warm and so heard this noise clearly. If deliveries / waste collection could happen during the day it would avoid waking guests up early in the morning. |

Staff welcoming .polite and efficient especially Emma on reception.Well maintained public areas , room tastefully decorated and en suite bathroom clean . Breakfast very good and again staff attentive without being intrusive... Location could.nt be better. Bedside light did not work and no coffee left with facilities in room but these only minor details. |

The location of the hotel, the breakfast, the amount of room we had in bedroom. The decoration in bedroom (needs updating, wallpaper old and dirty, the vinyl floor in bathroom, very uneven, the room also smelt very damp (maybe becuase we were in the basement)! |

staff was friendly, very good location. confusion when i arrived, was given a room key, went into the room but someone was already staying in it which could of been embarassing but luckily the person was not there. turns out i had been moved to a different room but it wasn't on the computer. this also made me question the security of the hotel. no hot water on first morning. |
