Best Western Abbey Hotel

Hotellin sijainti on hyvä, mutta palvelu kehnoa. Tullessamme huoneen ilma lemusi puhdistusaineelle. Hajun poistamiseksi olisi pitänyt avata ikkunat, mutta ne olivat niin saastaiset, että niihin ei voinut koskea. Valitimme asiasta henkilökunnalle. Pesu luvattiin seuraavaksi päiväksi, mutta sitä ei tapahtunut.Hotelli on reippaasti ylihinnoitellut itsensä, oikea hintataso on selvästi alle 100...

Helpful but not intrusive staff, location, ease of use.

Price of the hotel for two nights was a little high, but less than other competitors.

Courteous welcome by receptionist. Comfortable room. Ambience of bar area. Excellent breakfast facilities.

The location and helpfulness of staff

I did experience a problem with the hot water in my room (lack of!) but was assured by the night manager that this was easily put right (albeit at 6.00 a.m!) - a bit inconvenient though so early in the morning. Lack of parking and no arrangements for guests to park their cars (unlike many other hotels in Bath who provide parking permits for guests).

Ideally situated for touring Bath city center

Excellent location in central Bath and 5 minutes walk from the railway station. I've stayed in this hotel several times over a period of a few years and the standard of the rooms has improved a lot. My room this time (a single) seemed to have been recently refurbished and was comfortable and excellently fitted-out. It even had five power sockets - wonderful if you have a laptop, phone charger and want to boil the kettle at the same time. I don't know what you'd do with the other two (the TV and hair dryer had their own separate power sources).

the hotel was ideally situated and very easily accessible from the train station (walking distance). We were able to leave our luggage as it was to early to book in and leave it there on the day we were leaving as we were using the spa.

The room was spacious, staff very courteous and the breakfast was excellent. The location was ideal for exploring Bath.

The location is superb, the bar in the evening was busy and friendly, I would certainly stay again, but perhaps not in the basement room.

Extremely central and convenient for shopping, restaurants etc. Room clean and comfortable, with good facilities. Staff helpful - e.g. providing a jug of fresh milk when requested to replace the "plastic" milk in the room, and looking after our bags for us on the last day.

No parking - although there was (an expensive) one nearby. Noisy outside at night - which I guess is the price one pays for a central position. Expensive for what it is - but this is true of most English hotels. Bit bland and characterless, like most large chain hotels, lacking personal touches.

It was well located to see Bath but expensive for the type of hotel, car parking was a walk away and dropping cases off was difficult
