We felt the staff was very accommodating and did whatever they could to make our stay a pleasant one. I can't say that this is a family hotel as the pool closes too early for kids. We chose this hotel because of the hotel and by the time we got in and settled it was closing. Also it doesn't open until 10:00am. Not too many families with kids sleep in until 10:00am, especially when they plan to go somewhere for the day or have to checkout by 11:00.

Stayed for 3 nights. Staff very helpful and very accommodating. Room was a very good size and they had set up 2 single roll aways for the 2 kids. Good superKing bed for me and oh. Room was always immaculately clean. Breakfast didn't run out of food, always topped up, especially when running at capacity at the weekend. Had ground floor room. I could hear people stomping around upstairs. I could hear conversation between people walking outside room in the corridor and vice versa. But I was so tired in the evenings that the noise didn't wake me up or the kids and so didn't bother changing rooms. There is no kids play area but I knew that when I booked the hotel, so can't fault them, but we found good play area at travelodge/meadow vale next door. Swimming pool does not have shallow waters, so not great for non swimmer son who is 4.

Good location, friendly staff and a nice breakfast The room we stayed in was a delux double but felt a bit tired, especially the bathroom and decor, needed more lighting.

Pretty much nothing. We checked in then went to our room. I then realised that the room we had was so yuk, old upholstery, dirty cushions and bedthrows, the bed was horrendously uncomfortable, a side of the table was broken.. Ah well, I could do a long list for what was wrong with it. Main thing is that the pictures on booking.com had nothing to do with our room and I have been told that I should have looked at the hotel website. Oh really?.. Well. I replied to the girl at reception (quite rude and could not be bothered) they mislead us with the pics on booking and sold us for an exec something that had nothing to do with it. She said hotel was fully booked and we could not be allocated another room. She said for better rooms like penthouses, it is extra money. I asked if our room was in the non refurbished part as on internet it seemed to show only refubished one with nice upholstery and curtains... She replied they did not finish to refurb it all and ours is an old one. To which I replied we are not paying £115 with breakfast for a shabby dirty room like that one. She agreed we do no pay for that and we left back to another hotel (Try to guess how long did it take during Easter break to find a new one)

Staff were very friendly and helpful, always smiling. Breakfast was delicious Our room was a bit tatty in places, and due to the layout of the room the ceiling really cut into the space, husband banged his head several times on the low ceiling directly above our bed, and he's not a tall man. Also the walls seemed very thin, we could hear the people next door holding a conversation. We've stayed in many travelodge and premier inns and to be honest, we found them more modern, comfortable and spacious than the abbey hotel, and they cost much much less.

Reception staff and Spa Staff very friendly, pleasant surroundings, nice comfortable rooms Staff in the restaurant need some further training. out of 4 meals ordered, every single one was wrong. I am not a precious person at all, but I was the only female on our table and I got served last! The young lady was struggling to manage the spoon and fork to pick up the rolls and as such we needed had them in our laps. We requested a bottle of water, that had to be asked for twice, despite the fact they were all chatting in the corner! Having said that the food was very nice, albeit wrong!

We were staying at the hotel for my son's wedding reception and evening function. The service given was absolutely first class. Nothing was too much trouble and it made the whole day extra special. The reception meal was excellent and served so quickly. The room was a lovely size and when you entered and saw all the tables laid out it was breathtaking. The room we were staying in was great, looking out on the golf course behind. Breakfast was buffet style eat as much as you like. Cereals, fruit, full english, plenty of drinks etc. There was a choice of other restaurants and full use of the swimming pool, hot tub and steam room. I can't think of anything that I can fault. Thank you Abbey for making my son's wedding an extra special day for us and all our family and friends.

Staff was friendly. Rooms to parking were very loud due to golfer arriving in the early morning. I asked for a quiet room, it wasn't despite me asking the receptionist when I checked in and she said it is superquiet. The main street was loud as well. Decor of room (especially bathroom) was very old-fashioned, wallpaper comes down in corners and the windows are very old/rotten. Should invest in new double glazed ones. Tv very old. All in all I wouldn't come back and wouldn't recommend it. For a 4 star hotel I expect more/ better value for my money.

Food was excellent - waitress iin the restaurant was very friendly and welcoming and I would like this feedback to be passed to her. After staying in many hotels and dining in many restaurants I was very impressed with her people skills. Totally professional and exceeded all expectations. Her knowledge of the menu should be commended. The walls were very thin which resulted in being woken up at 5am due to noise from the next room.

Convenient for my monthly weekends with my daughter. The fire alarm went off at 0113am in the morning and never stopped going off in roughly one hour intervals. It was not until 1100am next morning that we were informed it was malfunctioning.

on arrival we were imformed that we had been up graded from a Superior room to the churchill suite which was a bonus. the suite was wonderful with seating area flat screen tv and a very modern bathroom with the best power shower i have ever used. after a relax and changed we went for dinner and had a drink at the bar where we were greeted and order was taken once the starters were ready we were taken through to the dining area. the food extremly good and so was the service in fact it was faultless. we didnt not get chance to use the facilities which was a shame as we were only there for one night but we intend to the next time we visit (and there will be a next time very soon) overall a wonderfull experience all round i would recommend this place to everybody 1st class

Swimming pool and spa was great, kids really enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was good, A buffet with plenty of choice. Staff were helpful and friendly We had a large wet patch on the carpet which seemed to be coming from a plumbing leak , this made the room smell a little damp and despite a complaint and promise to rectify no action was taken which was a little disapointing

I liked virtually everything, the room was good, facilities were good, it was a nice quite relaxing weekend. Obly one small issue, the bed for me, was just a little too firm, which made it difficult to sleep, alot of people prefer a firm bed, but personally I like a more softer bed.

Its location with lovely views over the golf course especially from the cafe upstairs The thiness of walls. We could hear people making lots of noise in the corridors, the bedroom doors shut with a lot of noise. We could hear people having their television on. No a/c and no fridge.

“The Holiday Inn Redditch is very centrally situated for the town and also for visiting our relatives. We liked the fact that it's modern, clean and friendly. In particular, the male French receptionist was very professional but friendly and gave us a very warm welcome. He was also very helpful and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him. Thanks to him, our first impression of the hotel was excellent and that good impression lasted throughout our stay. Our stay included an excellent breakfast. All in all, we had superb value for money.” Helen, Llandudno Junction |
