We felt the staff was very accommodating and did whatever they could to make our stay a pleasant one. I can't say that this is a family hotel as the pool closes too early for kids. We chose this hotel because of the hotel and by the time we got in and settled it was closing. Also it doesn't open until 10:00am. Not too many families with kids sleep in until 10:00am, especially when they plan to go somewhere for the day or have to checkout by 11:00.

Had a great break here, staff were really polite, friendly and very helpful. Room I can honestly say is the best family room we have ever had in a hotel. It was very large and the flat screen tv was a hit with the children. Did not want to get out of the shower in the morning, plenty of hot water with a good jet not a trickle like most. Spa was great and a treatment is a must. Had an excellent time here and will be back again. Left feeling relaxed

Stayed for 3 nights. Staff very helpful and very accommodating. Room was a very good size and they had set up 2 single roll aways for the 2 kids. Good superKing bed for me and oh. Room was always immaculately clean. Breakfast didn't run out of food, always topped up, especially when running at capacity at the weekend. Had ground floor room. I could hear people stomping around upstairs. I could hear conversation between people walking outside room in the corridor and vice versa. But I was so tired in the evenings that the noise didn't wake me up or the kids and so didn't bother changing rooms. There is no kids play area but I knew that when I booked the hotel, so can't fault them, but we found good play area at travelodge/meadow vale next door. Swimming pool does not have shallow waters, so not great for non swimmer son who is 4.

Booked the hotel as they could do a room for 2 adults and 3 children. Very good leisure facilites. The Tawny bar food was very poor. Had to send back tortillas as they were cold, burger and chicken was burnt, meat balls and spagetti was straight out of a tin. Also had to wait for over 1 hour. Felt sorry for the lady on the bar, as everyone complained about their food. She did offer a free drink. However very poor for a 4 star hotel. Breakfast being charged for the children - seemed expensive at £50 per day.

Food was excellent - waitress iin the restaurant was very friendly and welcoming and I would like this feedback to be passed to her. After staying in many hotels and dining in many restaurants I was very impressed with her people skills. Totally professional and exceeded all expectations. Her knowledge of the menu should be commended. The walls were very thin which resulted in being woken up at 5am due to noise from the next room.

Convenient for my monthly weekends with my daughter. The fire alarm went off at 0113am in the morning and never stopped going off in roughly one hour intervals. It was not until 1100am next morning that we were informed it was malfunctioning.

Staff were of a high standard. The room was beautiful and clean. The meals in tawny's were not up to standard. Both the Sauna and Steam rooms were out of order of which I am sure this was unfortunate timing. As these were the main reasons for our stay at the hotel we were not satisfied. Although the Hotel is lovely and I would rebook again.

on arrival we were imformed that we had been up graded from a Superior room to the churchill suite which was a bonus. the suite was wonderful with seating area flat screen tv and a very modern bathroom with the best power shower i have ever used. after a relax and changed we went for dinner and had a drink at the bar where we were greeted and order was taken once the starters were ready we were taken through to the dining area. the food extremly good and so was the service in fact it was faultless. we didnt not get chance to use the facilities which was a shame as we were only there for one night but we intend to the next time we visit (and there will be a next time very soon) overall a wonderfull experience all round i would recommend this place to everybody 1st class

Swimming pool and spa was great, kids really enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was good, A buffet with plenty of choice. Staff were helpful and friendly We had a large wet patch on the carpet which seemed to be coming from a plumbing leak , this made the room smell a little damp and despite a complaint and promise to rectify no action was taken which was a little disapointing

The food in the restaurant was very good, as was the breakfast. The 'public' areas of the hotel were cold and unwelcoming. There was only the bar to sit in before dinner and this was functional. The room was basic and the bathroom small. There was no fridge or remote for the tv. Dissapointing.

“From the momment we arrived the staff could not do enough to make our stay that little more special. Although they were very busy with over 300 people having there xmas parties, the staff re opened the restaraunt just for us. They were all very busy but you would not no this by the excellent service we recieved. The manager served us in the restaraunt & the head chef found time not only to cook us a fantastic meal but came to see us to make sure we had enjoyed his food. We cant recommend this hotel high enough after our stay, we can only say that we will be returning in the very neer future. ” Steven, . Brough |
