Parking available, clean bed, good shower
Tiny room, carpet didn't feel clean, tiny bathroom (size of a small toilet cubicle), room was in an annex which didn't have a locked door to the outside so didn't feel very secure, very expensive for what it was.
Really lovely room Good shower Plenty of Parking Nice breakfast
Hallway a bit dull Not much of a view! Bit of a walk to town
Very clean and tasteful decor. A good shower ensuite. Walking to the centre of Reading for the family business AGM was a welcome 20 minutes after being in the car most of the day. Useful parking space at the hotel.
It was a little cold in the room when we arrived.
Tiny bathroom, bit tired and not as clean as I'd like. Only booked because anything better was twice the price, wouldn't stay again.
Very helpful staff who went out of their way to assist me in my travel for the next day. Room was ok for one night but in the annex.
Hall lights were on all the time and blind in the room did not stop the light making sleep more difficult
Great staff, welcoming & helpful, comfortable, quiet room, clean and we'll appointed. Looking forward to staying again.
The room and the bed were very small and the shower was extremely tight.
Friendly staff on reception and elsewhere. Very clean throughout. Spacious room as upgraded free of charge on arrival. Good value in comparison to other local hotels but not so great when considered against other hotels outside of Reading. Quite a comfortable bed.
Although I was aware of the location, it is quite a distance from the city centre. I needed the exercise and walked the 20 mins or so but it would have been great if a little more central. The ironing board and iron weren't great and need replacing.
Didn't like room 14 that we stayed in for a family of 3. Shower and toilet was very small, shower doesn't drain properly.....
Free Wi-Fi Breakfast cooked to order Quiet, residential location Close to bus routes
Beds were comfy, quiet location offstreet parking. Friendly helpful staff
Step into bathroom - quite odd and stubbed my toe twice! No remote control for TV.
room and breakfast
mattress too soft
Asshram and his staff were great--all very friendly and attentive. Room was comfortable and had a desk and tv with cable.
Location--it is near the West Reading rail station. I would not recommend staying here unless you were driving. Over a mile from downtown Reading
Attentiveness of the man at Reception. Room in a nice quiet location. Everything very clean and comfortable. Excellent value for one night and the ability to park the car.
Although it was a short walk to town, it wasn't the most appealing route to walk through. I have no dislikes about the actual hotel.
The Abbey Hotel was nicely decorated and perfectly clean. The room was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Really nice hotel with very comfortable, beautiful rooms. Everything was clean. We needed to extend our stat and everybody was more than helpful. They really made us feel like home.
Staff very helpful. Lovely rooms and extremely clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast. Comfortable TV lounge room where we relaxed after a long day sightseeing.
Ok for wine and lager but no mixers lemonade etc available at the bar.
Good hotel close to high street.
Nice place, Lovely staff, plentiful breakfast, nice clean room, very close to where we wanted to be, Eco friendly hotel.
Unfortunately the room looked like it had water damage, which was a pity.
The wifi connection was good. It is good enough for only sleeping. The staff is friendly
The price for the room is a bit to high.
Good staff, nice breakfast, rooms were clean and clam. proper size. value for money. Location is also perfect. just 5-7 min by car from station.
They don't have phone in the room. a small refrigerator was also missing. Very few channels on TV.
It was clean
It was in a bad area where it wasn't safe to walk. Wasn't close to any shopping or restaurants. Didn't even feel safe keeping the windows open as the room would have been too accessible via a fire escape.
Clean, tidy and well cared for accommodation. Staff pleasant. Not luxurious, but we didn't pay luxury prices, so pleased with what we found. It was a good 20 minute walk into Reading from the top of the road, but not an issue and there was a regular bus if preferred. Breakfast was nice enough.
Rear exterior of hotel was shabby, but they have obviously tried to make improvements with attention to detail such as tyre stops so you don't reverse into the fence.
The staff were welcoming and helpful. Valet parking in a small hotel ? Yes really ! Reception was great . Breakfast excellent choice. The room was spacious and spotless. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Reading .
The only downside is the actual location in a busy suburban road .
