Nice people very smily, new bed very confortable, clean, in a calm residential district, free parking. Breakfast ok considering that it was a cheap hotel. The Wireless was not working properly. Even if the district was calm, the soundproofing was not really good, I could heat my neighbours till they went to bed. |

The water in the bath/shower was never hot at anytime of the day. When you pay via an overseas credit card they charge you in US dollars and you'll have to pay an extra 3.5% on top of a bad exchange rate. |

The room was warm and the hotel was clean two people in attendance one with very poor english. Room was right at the top of the building with four flights of stairs and no lift. I am 78 and it was an effort o climb all the stairs. I asked if there was a room on a lower floor but he did not understand what I was saying. |

Cheap. We didnt like that we got put in the adjacent building, not the main building. The was a homeless man sleeping in the corridor when I opened my room's door at 3 am. |

Accessible rooms and smoking rooms available. I was told on arrival that there would be a continental breakfast. This consisted of cereals, toast, juice and tea/coffee. Prior to arrival I had expected a full English breakfast. The shower needed thorough cleaning to remove mould on the tiles and joints |

The hotel staff [1 of!] was very helpful providing me with the WiFi access code without prompting & informing me of the local amenities. Not particularly although I'm glad I only paid £49 for this room as the 'official' £110 would have been far too much. For example there was a fridge [empty] in the room [why?] and the bathroom was in need of some serious attention with mould around the bath, etc. Although the main shopping/eating area was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel it consisted of 1 Indian Restaurant and lots of Kebab/burger style cafe's. |

The staff were excellent and the room big, airy and clean. The breakfast included in the price was excellent and the location was good to get into Reading town centre without any hassle. Faded a bit, but good luck to them to make the place work. |

What I am picky about when choosing a hotel is how staff treat me. Whether on business or holiday, customers are paying, and there should be no rules and restrictions laws and barbed wires as these are not part of any decent persons happy life, and hotels are not supposed to be like courts and prisons. |

Dining area was quite nice as was the breakfast. Single room with breakfast was good value - main reason why I chose the hotel. Manager was polite and affable. The outdated bathroom was falling apart - literally. Bedrom fittings were also dated and they did not look like the glossy photographs I saw on the internet.Card operated lights were annoying. Was woken up by drunks returning at night who smashed their way into their room in the hotel and then argued noisily. Manager was evasive about what was done about this disturbance. |

Clean, comfortable, good facilities, lovely breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Smoking rooms. Quiet except for...see below Doors slammed very noisily. Somebody somewhere practicing an electric guitar early evening. A little too distant from the centre of Reading. |

The staff were very friendly and helpful. A room was available to us even after the time we should have checked out, so that we could have a shower after doing Reading 1/2 marathon |
