The facilities at the hotel were fine. If you wanted to stay in, you could have something to eat at the bar, which was very nice. The city centre is fifteen minutes' walking distance, which is not really near but it's not that far, either. The building itself is magnificent. |

Staff were friendly Rooms were noisy, with disturbance from people moving about in room above and next door and along passages, as well as what appeared to be an air condition/ kitchen air mover unit and work area outside; beds were far too hard. A disappointment after seeing the exterior of the hotel. |

Convenience for visiting historical Canterbury I did not like the demand for paying my full reservation bill at the time of check-in. |

The bedroom was comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful in choosing the right food. We were always welcomed with a smile whenever we passed staff in the corridors. |

Pleasant atmosphere, quiet, good parking, friendly people and within walking distance of Canterbury. The price package offered was competative but did not reduce the standard of service. |

night porter service excellent. Over priced and dreadful breakfast. Cooked english was overcooked and for the most part inedible, porrage was bland, obviously poor quality oats, no earl grey tea, choice of other fare limited. Poor insulation between rooms, also very hard bed. |

Good position and well equipped. It took us 15 minutes to get three cups of coffee. Your cook cannot cook scrambled eggs. They were rubbery. Melt butter in little water. Beat eggs in bowl. Add to water/ butter mix. Cook low heat. Lovely! Bags not delivered to room prior to occupation. |

Good location in town. It was very close to where i needed to be each day. There was plenty of parking spaces. I felt the breakfast meal prices where to high. |

The location. The service. Very disappointed with the breakfast considering we were impressed with everything else. Our supermarket breakfasts are better, local produce would have improved the experience. The service was good though. |
