The stylishly furnished Abbotsleigh of Whitby offers elegant bed and breakfast accommodation 2 minutes’ walk from the seafront. With a 4-star gold rating from the AA, this North Yorkshire guest house provides free parking. Each room at Abbotsleigh has been individually styled, and has its own unique furnishings. All have a flat-screen TV, and tea and coffee facilities including a coffee machine and homemade biscuits. Each room has luxury bedding and an en suite bathroom with shower, hairdryer and high-quality toiletries. An award-winning breakfast menu includes a buffet selection of fresh fruit, cereals, homemade bread, yoghurt, preserves and honey. There is a cooked selection with bacon, local sausages, black pudding and free-range eggs, and tea, coffee and fruit juice. Whitby Abbey, the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and the Whitby Museum are all within 10-20 minutes’ walk of Abbotsleigh. The pretty coastal village of Robin Hood’s Bay is around 6 miles south of the town, which lies just outside the spectacular North York Moors National Park. There is parking on site car park and free road permit parking for guests

Abbotsleigh is the ideal retreat if you are looking for period, stylish, high-quality bed and breakfast accommodation located in a quiet location while providing immediate access to the beach and an easy walk to the main town of Whitby. At Abbotsleigh we take the comfort of our guests very seriously. The décor and furnishings in our rooms are to the highest standards and all our rooms have been newly refurbished, individually styled to include luxury beds with quality mattresses and bedding from Feather and Black and en-suite wetrooms lined with travertine marble. Each guestroom comes with its own tea & coffee facilities including a kettle and personal coffee machine, fresh milk, our home made biscuits replenished daily, Satellite Flat screen TV, fine toiletries, fluffy white towels and free WiFi. Start the day with our cereals, our fabulous full English breakfast or daily special, all made with locally sourced ingredients. Our Victorian guest house is in a peaceful area just 100 yards from Whitby's West Cliff and a short walk to the lively town centre and harbour. There are lots of great places to eat out nearby.
Whatever the reason you visit Whitby you can always be assured of a warm welcome. It has that lovely old world charm, manners and air of a place that people are proud to share with you. Below west cliff hire a colourful beach hut for the day or even a week. We cater for everyone even down to providing a lift from the cliff top to specially adapted beach wheelchairs.
