Score from 153 reviews Very good
Quiet location. Friendly, helpful staff.
Could not connect to the wifi.
facilities were good, for the purpose of our visit.
nothing considering it was a one night stay
Place friendly functional and clean Starter and Main course excellent WIFI in the restaurant good and advised will be coming into the rooms
Bathroom needs some TLC Breakfast not the best one I have ever had
Room fine, good breakfast well served.
No WiFi as advertised. Dining very poor, food badly cooked, untrained staff, served in the bar, although restaurant facilities advertised.
Lovely staff - very friendly and helpful. Nice view from the second bedroom I had. Nice quiet location but still relatively near A1. Good standard of cleanliness (apart from bath "repair".
Needs updating - old type tvs with a freeview box! Not enough electric sockets near enough for using laptop etc. Chip in bath had been "repaired" with a sticky black sealant - yuk! No heater or heated towel rail in bathroom so a bit cold.
Reception staff exceptionally helpful. Large quiet room overlooking the golf course. Bed comfortable.
Location very rural: nothing else around, so no choice but to eat and drink at hotel. Wi-Fi would not connect, so difficult for a business trip. The whole place was rather spartan, with little atmosphere.
The location, the dog welcome culture, friendly staff, the building is very pleasant. Good dog walking area. The lady on reception did listen very seriously to our complaints about the bed and promised it would be taken to the Manager. She was very nice and helpful.
Very uncomfortable lumpy bed, guest golfers very noisey and our room was by front door which attracted the smokers outside our window till 3 am! We had a bar meal at lunch time which was OK but not value for money and my "salad" consisted of lettuce!! No tomatoes or cucumber! With cheese and ham. My husband did better with the ploughmans! The breakfast room was not tidy when we went down to eat and there were no tables laid for us and the tables were untidy from the previous occupants.
-tranquil setting in the countryside -quiet corridors at night which did not disturb your sleep -spotlessly clean
-hotel key/electonic opening system could be difficult to get to work.
A very good standard. We had an evening meal in the bar, it was very nice however a little over priced. Breakfast was very nice a good selection and good quality food.
The quality of the accommodation, pleasent staff.
Rooms are a good size Bar food good Location is great - particularly if you have dogs, which I do - walks straight from the room door ! Staff are efficient, friendly and helpful Very good value for money
Shower over bath a little awkward to use - works off the bath taps, but a minor issue
Breakfast staff very attentive
No wifi, essential for business traveller Had to wait for 35 mins for dinner the excuse was there was a big group in, when it did arrive it was just warm
One of the best english breakfasts I've ever had.
Very little, Location and surroundings were good.
Food was poor to average. Accomodation clean and adequate, but not up to the standard I would have expected from this type of accomodation.
Location was peaceful next to a golf course & quiet at night
No Wifi available despite being advertised & no concession by hotel for this lack of service. Poor quality evening meal although cooked breakfast was fine. £100 per night is a bit OTT for such a moderate hotel
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable
Great dog friendly hotel .
Each time I stay here, I like it a little more. This time I dined out of the hotel, so I can't comment on the food apart from the breakfasts which are great, hot and nice and varied.
Nothing. Thought it is still an idyllic place to stay during the summer when you can make the most of the lovely rural location.
Abbotsley Golf Hotel is a fine and relaxing place to stay. Its also great value for money and the surrounding landscape, at this time of year, does a soul good. I only wish I played golf, so I could make the most of their courses. People are great, place is great, food is good, and rooms are clean and quiet. What's not to love?
None of the breakfast tables had been cleared from the previous occupier. Sat a uncleaned table which remained that way for my entire breakfast.
Clean, welcoming and comfortable
One or two simpler items on restaurant menu would have been good
Excellent Food both Evening Meal and Breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This was my first visit and it will not be my last.
