Location was the only thing positive with this hotel. I would not recommend it to anyone. Filthy rooms, filthy towels, broken toiletseat, a mouse running outside the windows. Also worth mentioning was the promised Wifi throughout the hotel. In the basement where our room was. Wifi only worked sitting clued to the window.. Won't go back!

The location was good, just a five minute walk to the nearest tube. The bed mattress was good. The room was dirty with tones of dust everywhere, it was super tiny, many broken staff, we changed two rooms because in the first the door didn't lock and the second the window didn't lock and it was just a step from the road an with common balcony. There was mold on the ceiling and the hotel doesn't have elevator and the stairs are really small and steep. The towels were filthy and they didn't changed them, nor the bed linen for 3 days. The staff was rather unfriendly. The building is very old and we didn't feel secure because the windows don't lock. The breakfast was poor. There is no safe place to leave the luggage after checking out; they just drop them in the hall.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Small, cramped rooms, delapidated furniture and bathrooms. Watch out for them trying to add a "credit card surcharge" to your bill. Never again.

Room was clean and recently redecorated but only big enough for 1 person. Helpful staff, free WiFi Reasonable breakfast included. The lobby is tatty giving a poor first impression. The room and bathroom are also small - fine for one person but small for 2 or more.

The location is great, one of the best neighborhoods in the city, well connected by buses, night buses and underground. Abc is a budget hotel very clean and nice, rooms are small like in most hotel in London but its bathrooms are new and shower was comfortable! The reception was open during the night and the staff was helpful and pleasant! The breakfast was a good continental one but it should be more varied. The Bed was very comfortable and the block is green and quiet then we slept very well. We suggest this hotel for short period. We only didn't like stairs, because there isn't lift and we suggest you to get it with no large baggages....also is cheaper if you will travel with low cost companies

it was clean and always warm, shower worked well and had clean towells everyday. the only issue i had was the size of the room, although it was fairly cheap, you can definatly get a bigger room else where for the same amount of money quite easily.

I've been looking for a hotel in London following Trip Advisor's advices and I have to say that the description of the abc does corrispond to what the other guests said about it: great position (less than 5 minutes to get to Paddington station, very strategic), clean rooms with nice bathrooms and staff. Not exactly the kind of hotel you hang out a lot in since it's not so large, but perfect for a 3-4 nights stay and just what you need for a silent night and a nice shower. Breakfast was ok. Rooms are a little bit overheated but it's not bad in December! I'll definitely stay at abc again next time.

Very close to Paddington Station if you need to travel to Heathrow Airport. Really nice European hostesses who serve breakfast and make up the rooms. Good array for breakfast. Rooms were a bit on the cramped side. I'm not going to name and shame what went wrong during our stay, however I wouldn't stay here again based on our experience.

- Just a few minutes walk from Paddington underground & rail station - 25-30 minutes to Victoria or Westminster by the tube or a bus. - Free Wifi, and connection was good enough (I was in room 11 on 3rd floor). There was one time Wifi was down, but the receptionist fixed it quickly once I asked him (the router hung up, so he rebooted it). - There was only 2 teabags in the room, but I asked the receptionist if they could bring more, and then I always had enough tea, coffee, sugar and milk (they was brining every day). - They charge 5% commission for credit card payments (never announced neither on booking.com nor on their own website) - Stinky bathroom (room 11). - Stains on bed linen. - Bugs in the plates with food in the breakfast room (looked like small cockroaches or something like that). - Heating was off in late November making the room quite cold at nights. - Old windows provided no isolation neither from noise nor from the cold outside. - The hot water tap in my shower was broken (room 11). I asked the receptionist to fix it but the handyman never came, so I was unable to use the shower for all 3 days I was there. I have chosen this hotel because of 3 things: 1) good transport connection, 2) free wifi, 3) breakfast included. However, now I realise that: 1) it was still about half an hour from all the main places in London, 2) if you have a 3G phone, you can get yourself a free local SIM card and get unlimited traffic for £15/month, and 3) you can always have a better breakfast elsewhere for £7-8. And there are many cheaper hotels of the same or better quality but maybe located at a more distant tube station, or not offering Wifi etc. So the ABC Hyde Park hotel was not really worth the money.

Location. Very convenient location as it is only 5 min walk to Paddington station Heating was centrally controlled and although I've requested several time, heater wasn't working in my room. Room was tiny. Sheets are old and have holes in it, making it look not very clean to me.

The staff on reception were helpful and friendly. The hotel was comfortable and close to the tube, shops, etc. The only drawback is the fact that there is no lift, but as long as you are aware of this fact then it isn't a problem.

The staff were very helpful - even to trying to source me a lightbulb at 11.30pm! My room had been recently renovated and was beautifully refurbished. The shower was superb - hot and powerful! Ok the room was small but hey it is central London. I was more than happy with the standard of accommodation and the breakfast was very good with a good range of food on offer. I would definitely stay again without hesitation. Great for business trips and brilliant value at £60 thru booking.com
