Very clean and comfortable hotel in a convenient location at a very good price for the area. I was able to request a room above the 2nd floor which was very quiet.
Room so small the door couldn't open properly. Insect bites the following morning.
The location of the hotel is very central and near to a tube station. Ideal for visiting London
The room, although, clean it was a bit too small even for a solo traverller. One point that needs to be revised from the management is the size of the breakfast room and the time. A longer period for the breakfast should be allocated specilly during the wekeends.
Great room comfy beds
Just a little bit far out
Very friendly and helpful staff Top location Good price-quality ratio
Signs of the room & it's furniture getting old Simple breakfast with terrible coffee
Staff were welcoming and it was clean
Sewage smell in my room, basin drain stank, could barely brush my teeth and wash my face without gagging. water pressure was very low, washing hair was difficult. I had a very long day travelling and then worked so to tired to complain but really should have. It was very noisy on the top floor
Staff efficient and very friendly. Really close to the areas we were visiting - room was comfortable and clean and breakfast fabulous - all at an excellent price ... couldn't have asked for more.
Good WiFi, clean room, close to amenities
Staff friendly and helpful
Generally is a good hotel but unfortunately the bed is too hard for me.
My wife and I spent 10 days at the Villa Kensington (7 – 17 September). It was a delightful and enjoyable stay because this hotel offered us excellent service and attention. The key is in the friendly staff led by Mr Ferdinand. They are without exception friendly, unassuming and ready to help and give advice. The room we had was spotless clean and remained so on a daily basis testifying to the high standards of service at the hotel. The advantage of free wifi is indeed an asset. The service was strong and worked on several devices at the same time. Though the breakfast is basically continental (excellent English breakfast may be served at an extra charge), it is still varied, of very good quality, and swiftly replenished by the staff. Fresh fruits and yogurt contribute to a healthy addition. A certificate of merit hangs in the breakfast room as testimony to the highest standards of hygiene upon the authority of the official Health Bureau. Needless to say, the hotel occupies an excellent spot within 3 minutes walk to Gloucester Road tube station. It is one stop away from Earl's Court. The area is therefore packed with restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. Also very close by is the Albert and Victoria museum and the Natural History Museum. Most importantly, the surroundings are absolutely safe. We are already preparing to have our accommodation in Villa Kensington on our next holiday in 2015.
Nothing at all.
Staff -efficient, relaxed and polite. Very clean A good TV for small size Good value
Noise from the corridor- tourists and those on business don't really mix! I needed an early night.
comfortable bed & quiet location
Room quite small
They had a good selection of breakfast items and a pleasant breakfast room. It was also a clean facility.
Three people in a room that was too small. One bar of soap for three people, no hand towels. When you flushed the toilet the flusher panel fell into the wall and then onto the floor and the toilet paper fell off the wall. When we informed the front desk they acted like this was not a big deal that it happened all the time. You had to wonder every time you took the elevator if the doors were going to open or if you were going to plummet to the basement.
Very handy to the tube and buses into the city and elsewhere
Check out time very good.
Canned fruit for breakfast
Staff were very helpful storing our luggage. Breakfast was a tasty continental. Automatic doors at reception. Location to the station, museums, restaurants and pubs.
The room was smaller than we had experienced thoughout the UK, yet was the most expensive. When you opened the door it banged on the bed.
Good location, the breakfast is good nothing especial but enough to start the day.
The room too small.
Quiet place. Good location near Gloucester Station. Good breakfast. Reliable wifi. Staff very kind and helpful
All the walls are white, everywhere in the Hotel
This hotel is in a quiet street with a little park in front of it. It is very conveniently situated for some of the Museums, the Royal Albert Hall and is only a 3 minutes walk from Gloucester Road tube station. It has a handy, small room for 'left luggage' (we arrived early and checked out late). The staff is very friendly and helpful.
the room was really quite even sleeping with an open window.
The bathroom is really small.
Good value for money. Very convenient location. Close to tubes but still quiet.
Good breakfast. Triple room ok.
Our double room was a bit snug!
Room had all necessary equipment, including a/c. Polite desk clerk. Bathroom was modern and attractive. Had a safe for valuables. Luggage storage room.
Very small room (perhaps 8x10) Bathroom small; one towel only, so I had to ask for more. I called for directions from nearly. Desk clerk unable to provide this information. Quality of breakfast was inferior to other English hotels at which I stayed. No laundry service. However, 24-hr dry cleaning service was available, although of no use to me.
We liked everything...especially the very helpful staff on Reception..nothing was too much trouble for them. Great location and very clean. Every request was met with immediate response. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Hope to stay there again one day. Well done Villa Kensington
The hotels location is great , would stay again . Hotel very clean and staff very friendly. Definately recommend it to others
the check in at 3 but we were able to leave our bags there.
