I do not understand , when you pay a night with a brekfast and when you go down stairs you have menu with a price for 2 type of brekfast. How you can now for which you pay . And what you can take...
The choice of breakfast was amazing ,cereal juices continental and full English with three choices of egg !wow!!!!
The pub next door in a word rough
Hotel pleasant and spacious inside. Beach was clean and a stones throw away from hotel. Easy Parking. Bar snacks and Restaurant food excellent. Staff very accommodating and had a happy family atmosphere, always wanting to please. Local restaurants also good. We would stop there again.
The outside of the hotel did not reflect the inside and let the hotel down. Needs sprucing up - looks like a block of flats rather than a hotel. Trying to find the hotel was a little frustrating as lacked good signs. Had to navigate housing estates before finding hotel.
staff did there best to help with problems. breakfast was ok
first night awful mattress which was changed. tv was not working. desk lamp was not working bar food not good. over cooked had to ask for extra pillows
unscure car parking
Great Value, Great food, Great location Friendly, efficient staff. Everything seemed nice and clean.
Silly niggles really. Door stop on room door didn't allow the door to open fully. No toilet brush. Really old TV. Not enough Electrical sockets in the room to charge phones & Laptop etc.
Our stay was excellent. Everything inside the building was fine. Everything was good, cannot complain about anything...maybe the wifi could be more friendly, but it was working fine even on the top floor as well, when it was working. Very pleasant stay.
The wifi could be better, if after logging in you could go to any page straight, and you won't be redirected to some kind of best western page... Reconnection was not the best, and after 11PM, the net dissapeared completely...not the signal, the data flow...maybe because of the reconnection problem, or maybe because of something else. After 11 I wasn't able to open anything, even if I was connected...not even google search...but this was not a real problem at all...believe me, everything was really fine.
This hotel is very deceiving. From the outside it doesn't look very special. But from the inside, it was comfortable, clean and well managed.
I was unfortunate to have room 314 that overlooked the back of the Spar Supermarket. I was woken at 5am on the Friday morning by the waste disposal team. In the early hours of Sunday morning I was woken by a barking dog belonging to one of the guests. That would have been ok if I hadn't been woken up again at 5.30am by the laundry service collection. Perhaps the rooms that overlook the Spar could be reserved for the dog owners.
I really liked The room it was nice and view was too, i enjoyed it.
average to poor breakfast buffet - food running out bacon covered in white streaks room temperature akin to a sauna
Obliging and friendly staff.
Hotel appears to be generally run down and needs updating; e.g., better bed and the shower connection leaked on to floor. Room too small and hot. Fan from outside noisy. Restaurant menu limited, bar staff mainly absent on other duties when wishing to order drinks and snacks. Had to ask for staff and then wait and seek out staff second time for this.
Hotel was nice on the inside
Looked very dated on the out side and dirty. It situated on the beach but in the ruffest area Eva .
Location and friendly staff
bar service a bit slow on one night
The hotels location and facilities. We brought my 92 yr old father for another trip to his beloved South Wales. This hotel offers a great base for sight seeing and visiting family in the valleys and in the mumbles.
The internal areas of the hotel, were modern and clean. Offered good although not outstanding value for money. Was close by for a wedding we were attending at Margam Park.
The outside of the hotel is a real let down, you nearly turn around before your enter! The car park is tired and dirty, the hotel entrance is ugly, and the seafront in Port Talbot is extremeley deprived and run down. The quality of the food was poor at breakfast.
Dining staff were most helpful & breakfasts were delicious, plenty of choice too.
On arrival reception weren't particularly friendly, but different staff later were exceptional Our room was very dark & looked over a flat roof
Staff were friendly and helpful. Located ideally as a base for seeing South Wales.
Not the best of views from the rear of the hotel and the music from the function room was a little loud.
The staff and the decor inside and the rooms were comfortable!
The exteria is a bit bland
Location on sea front with a great beach that was permanently windy but nice and quiet. The hotel looks terrible from the outside and the inside is only slightly better than average quality for a hotel. Lacks a gym and the pool has large windows open to the restaurant / bar / reception areas so it put us off using it.
Town has nothing to offer except a great beach - the area looks run down and has none of the usual sea-front charms. It was difficult to find anywhere in the local area to go and eat, and the hotel restaurant prices were far too high to bother with.
Nice comfortable room. View was a lovely sea view. The staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating. Food was lovely as well.
The outside of hotel needs updating. And fridge in room would be good.
The location is very good because of the view and the space around the hotel.
The first room I was given was at the side of the hotel, looking out over the flat roof of the ballroom: apart from the drab view, the window (during the heat wave) only opened about 1"; in addition a wedding party took over the hotel that weekend so the noise would have been unbearable. Luckily I was given a better room with a sea view.
Close to beach free parking. Breakfast was good
No family rooms and/or that we had two rooms far apart. Not good with small kids. Property looks run down, mostly outside but also in rooms. No water pressure; shower/bath did not drain. When checking into the rooms they were sprayed very heavily with some kind of perfume. And not in a good way.
Excellent, friendly staff. Very clean. Very good breakfast. Excellent for dog owners, especially with location on sea front.
The outside of the building is scruffy and car park is tatty.
Food and Staff were very good.
1) Shower bit old fashon 2) Works next to hotel was noisy 3) No air-con in bedroom
The location is a good base for anyone with a car. Next to a nice quiet beach which would be great for rooms with a sea view. Inside the hotel is quite modern, needs some money spending on it but its not too bad. Rooms are clean with tea and coffee that was filled up everyday. Fresh towels etc. Cant fault the rooms. Breakfast service is also fine.
We stayed in room 303 which was a corner room on the top floor. We couldn't get wifi signal in that room. Asked to be moved but they were fully booked. Very disappointed with this. They advertise there are flat screen TVs in very room but we had something that looked like a throwback to 1990, with a very bad picture and sound and it certainly wasn't flat. I can't help but feel we weren't in the best room, as other reviews haven't mentioned this. The pool is a nice touch but could do with a deep clean. The outside of the building is very tired and needs updating but if you can look past this it's fine. We had building works outside that shook the hotel from 8am (like an earthquake), but this isn't the hotels fault. Just be sure to check before going if you're expecting a lie in.
