This boutique hotel is located in the center of Neath and is home to La Mancha, a Mediterranean brasserie. The town’s main amenities and attractions are within walking distance.
Score from 278 reviews Excellent
The Carlton Hotel overlooks Swansea Bay in the center of Mumbles Village. Many rooms have sea views. The hotel has been recently been refurbished, and all rooms have a private bathroom.
Score from 290 reviews Good
The Rose And Crown is a classic inn in the charming village of Nottage in Porthcawl. It has free Wi-Fi, free parking, a bar and a restaurant.
Score from 246 reviews Very good
Very good hotel from the moment you step in the door and also one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in. Staff helpful, wonderful choice of food, quiet room with lovely sea view.
Outside of hotel rather off putting and shabby
The Hotel staff were fantastic.
pleasant helpful staff. tasty evening meal
breakfast tasteless. Tasteless, instant coffee served in teapot!!! Poor waitress rushed off her feet.
Very clean friendly hotel.
Fair distance from the M4.
good service and room service friendly staff who is happy to help you
location, cleanliness friendly staff, pets welcome
bar/restaurant service poor, food poor
hotel was opposite great beach pets welcome clean and tidy hotel/room although carpets in halls were water stained
bar/food service, food although looked good on the menu was poor and not good value for money. Would stay there again but eat and drink away from hotel.
The staff were all very smartly dressed, on the ball, courteous, smiley and friendly yet professional. The room was very nice, wi-fi excellent and the bed - well, my favourite thing, could have slept for a week.
I like the position closed to the sea
the restaurant closed too early
The hotel had a nice view of the sea, ample, free and easy parking, very good breakfast. Location was good to use as a base to explore Cardiff and Swansea.
The hotel is close to the docks. Building work is currently being done next to the hotel. It took ages to get hot water in the shower.
Rachel on reception was impressive - Dynamic, proactive and an action taker. She ensured that services in her area was first class.
The dining room was one of the coldest I have experienced. Diners broke from eating to return to their rooms for extra clothing. Breakfast was a little chaotic - I never did receive my coffee.
Friendly staff. No wifi information but I did not follow this up as I had a break as this was a night to unwind! Room was not large but comfortable and very clean. I had an evening meal which was very nice but quantity could have been slightly better. Breakfast was good with a variety of cereals, fruit etc and a cooked breakfast done to order. Both very good.
The music playing during breakfast was poor and got annoying at times.
Friendly and accommodating staff. Great sea view from room.
Only there two days
The food, delicious.
When in wales will stay again at this hotel staff very good
great room, good staff
inside is better than the outside
The outside of the hotel looks grim, but when I walked inside I got a huge warm Welsh welcome. The hotel is lovely, and extremely clean. It's little things that I liked such as a big TV on a moving bracket so I could move around the room watching tv, a sea view, a duvet... hotel was spotless too. Very happy to stay here, considering I've paid over double for posh hotels for work and gotten something not as clean, comfortable and well equipped and friendly as this! Also wasn't extorted with a cleaning charge for the dog like other hotels do. Fantastic! Very recommended.
Overall a good experience
Room requires air conditioning. Too hot, poor ventilation.
I Liked how friendly staff were at the hotel and cleanness of the hotel and room itself and also its great as it also welcomes pets.
I thought the prices for the continental breakfast were too high.
Nice comfy bed, excellent room service for food, helpful staff.
we stayed at the hotel for 4 nights, and only got wifi for 2 of these days, and we had to ask for tea or coffee at breakfast, coach parties seemed to be served first
Hotel was decorated to a high standard. Rooms were very nice. Breakfast was lovely
Mattress was to soft. Outside of hotel could do with modernising
The views of Aberafan seafront and beyond towards Porthcawl and Swansea bay and back up towards our small but perfectly formed local mountain ranges.
Overlooking the rebuild of our Lido but this is temporary so will soon be gone sometime during 2015.
Staff friendly . Breakfast was OK Rooms nice and warm and clean.
WiFi could do with a boost in the rooms Only Stella lager on tap small plates at breakfast -breakfast was OK but use larger plates ?
Good view of the sea on a windy day. Great Breakfast. Reasonable prices. Accommodating staff.
Party in ballroom area could be heard throughout hotel especially on 1st floor where we were. However, the staff allowed us to spent the night in another room on the third floor, where the noise was considerably less.
Modern comfortable room, excellent restaurant food
Exterior of hotel looks tired
