I liked the location of the hostel - it is close to Hammersmith station and there are lots of shops and restaurant around.
There were lots of bugs under the beds and in the room, I even got bites during the night. The sheets were stained and pubic hairs on the toilet. A huge construction site right next to our window. The staff was very unfriendly and we felt like we were bothering them with our arrival rather than being welcome. We will not stay at this hostel again. Sorry, but there is much to improve.
Upgraded to en suite
Noisy doors in corridor
Well equipped kitchen, well communicated, the Hammersmith metro station is right away. I have chosen it mostly due to the low budget
The internet is payable. Just a common hostel, an avarage social room. No particular complains.
The room was lovely, and the bed was very comfortable. Excellent location for those attending the Hammersmith Apollo. Tube station is also just across the road...just one train ride to Heathrow.
The staff weren't helpful, and one guy was very rude.
Very economical for London - good area and very convenient to the tube
Occasionally noisy but most of that is beyond the control of the facility
Location Smaller rooms Price
No lockers/didn't feel like my stuff was secure no free wifi staff not so friendly
Good place. clean. solid location
The location is good. There was some building work next door but the windows did a good job of blocking out the noise. It was fairly quiet during the night. Rooms were a good size and very clean.
Hammersmith station around the corner with excellent day / night connections. Friendly staff. Refrigerator in the room. Good price for what you get. (We booked a double room)
There was some noise from the construction site next door. But it wasn't too disturbing.
Location, transportation, cleanliness, available resources within the hostel and great west London nearby surroundings.
building site next door active from 8:00 -16:00
The fact that is close to work
There was construction on both sides of the hotel .so noisy.showers full of bugs.bedding dirty .yelliw stains.matress was full of spring sticking in ur back.staff inconsiderate and rude.care about nothing but ur money .booked for 3 nights, stayed for one
-Clean bathrooms -Convenient location -Great price
-Noisy doors at night -Bedbugs!!
cheap and close to underground
the first room we had didnt have curtains and there were insects around. next day we changed the room but this one didnt have toilet paper and dustbin in the bathroom and there was a spider in my bed.
We booked the hotel for one night as we were seeing Kate Bush at the Apollo. This hotel is the perfect walking distance from the venue and is also close to the tube line. The room was very clean and comfortable. Everything you want for a nights stay.
There was construction going on next door so we got woken up pretty early, however this is presumably not ongoing.
The location was perfect. The room exceeded my expectation. The staff were polite and helpful and pleasant. The surroundings were quiet so I had a good nights sleep
The shower only had cold water. As the weather was quite hot this didn't bother me too much but I would have liked the option.
The friendly helpful staff, The cleanliness of our room, People seemed respectable of the 'please be quiet' sign on the night we stayed! So close to the Tube station.
The noise from building work from the site next door was extremely loud, so was woken up at 7am but obviously this is not the hostels fault.
AWFUL,AWFUL, AND AWFUL!Extremely arrogant and neglectful staff, no lockers for valuables, the female shower was out of order for days, they don't empty the full dustbins, bathrooms are dirty, no free wifi...
Location and price
It wasn't clean and staff weren't helpful - water was lukewarm in all the taps and showers.
The hostel was conveniently located, and had many rooms, so booking was not a problem.
The hostel was painting the walls and renovating our floor at the time of our stay. The paint fumes were quite strong - I would not have imagined that they would put guests on the same floor as where they were painting. Hostel was also noisy, and beds were not comfortable. I would not stay there again.
rooms are good as well as the area
The bathrooms and toilets are bad
expensive. poor service. no wifi. small rooms.
The hostel is close to the underground, clean.
Without free wifi but there are 3 Starbucks near by
Beds & bedding were comfortable and clean. There is a fridge in room, towels & cutlery, plates etc. provided in each room. Fairly quiet.
Smell in room & kitchen was a bit musty. There were some cockroaches in the rooms downstairs.
The location within walking distance from tube station
we stayed 1 night here booked a twin sharing room but was given a 4-bed dorm (only 2 of us for that room). There was no lift, we had to climb up the stairs. We checked out on the following day, found plenty of bite marks which were reddish, itchy and swollen over the hands, legs and even body! Then we realized that there were bed bugs in the room that we stayed at Abercon!! We have been traveling many times over different countries and this was the first time we were bitten by the bed bugs. The wounds remained for days and caused lots of inconvenience to our daily life. The room must be cleaned properly to ensure it is bug-free before check in. The room number was 418. Another problem was the shower, we need to press the button few times as the water stopped automatically after few seconds.
